Papa John’s Pizza

Don’t order from this location. Period.
I ordered online and received it in a timely manner.
THIS WAS AN OLD PIZZA. I immediately took a photo of it. Here it is folks! Look for yourself.
Girlfriend called and complained that it was old. Guy got upset and said they make everything fresh (look at the pic). He said they will make a new one. I called back and cancelled the reorder… I don’t want their 1 hour old garbage.

Terrible customer service. The pizza is descent but the claim of delivery times is total BS. This last order, the pizza arrived cold and an hour and half after ordering. We had ordered a bottle of pepsi to go along which was NOT delivered. I called to complain and the person I spoke to refused to give us a refund. I know a bottle of Pepsi costs $ 3 but why should I not be refunded for something they didn’t deliver?
P.S: as I was writing this review, the delivery guy brought us Pepsi from a nearby supermarket. So I guess he earned his tip but cold pizza, 1.5 hour delivery time and the person I spoke to on the phone were still unacceptable.

Large Sausage & Pepperoni Pizza was descent.
Nothing to rave about.
I’d order from them again.

I always order delivery: large thin crust with beef and onions or green peppers, olives and onions. Never had a bad experience to date. Consistently delivered within the estimated window, hot and fresh!
I do want to share something that played out back in May when I got pizza delivered: it goes a little something like this…(see what I did there)
I go to the door and while the delivery guy hands me my pizza, he tells me to wait. While he climbs back down the steps to the house back to his car, I think to myself, what’s going on? Did he forget the receipt? Do I have to start signing one all of a sudden? He comes back and hands me a rose and a bottle of soda. It caught me off guard and left me a little speechless.
Thanks to the Papa John’s delivery guy who reminded me there are people out there that do in fact do selfless things for perfect strangers :)

I’m sorry, but Papa John’s is not what it used to be in terms of cheaper pizza that was delivered quickly.
I’m currently studying for the bar exam, and with the exam a mere three weeks away, I decided to jump online and quickly order some food before going back to studying. Delivery estimate said 30 – 40 minutes. After almost an hour I called back and they said the delivery driver had just left and the pizza would be here in a few minutes. That was 15 minutes ago. They’ve got another 10 minutes before I call back, throw a fit, and cancel the entire order…
EDIT: well, looks like I’m getting my refund. I called back (my order has now taken an hour and a half), and demanded a refund. The guy goes «hold on, the delivery driver has already left» to which I very firmly state «I don’t CARE, this order has taken an hour and a half and I’m not waiting for this pizza anymore!» 7 straight weeks of bar exam study hell has made me incredibly good at being confrontational, and I think he could tell not to mess with me because he issued the refund.
AND, AND… in an incredibly tone-​deaf fashion, when I called the national company to make sure that refund was issued, and in the process complained about this store, the only thing they did was confirm the refund had been done and didn’t offer anything in terms of compensation or tried to rectify the problem.
NEVER ordering from this place again.

Apparently this place takes orders, just doesn’t actually deliver food. Thankfully i didn’t pay in advance. After waiting an hour I called for a checkup, was told «its on the way, we’re very busy tonight»…waited another hour and it never showed up. So I decided to order someplace else. I’m perfectly ok with waiting a little longer when a business is busy, but don’t be shady and leave customers hanging. Wont order here from here again… until that order shows up.

This place is complete BS. They lie about delivery times and they lie when you call them to find your overpriced food. I ordered through seamless and plan on getting a full refund. Completely disgusted by the awful service.

Ordered through their website, estimate delivery time was about 30 – 45 minutes. After 1 hour, I called — was told it was 3 minutes away. 15 minutes passed after the phone call, still no pizza in sight. Never ordering from here again.

Such a friendly crew at this location with quick delivery and incredible service. Thank you, Papa!

Figured I would try the new addition to the area. Placed an order through the app. With no pizza in sight after 45 minutes, I decided to give the location a call. About 15 min later pizza arrived.

Ordered online via their app. App worked great. Pizza was cold and tasted horrible. I stopped eating it but my husband persisted. That night he paid the price. We will stick to Domino’s for fast-​food pizza.

Newly Opened.
Walk in and there seems to be orders over the phone already for it’s grand opening. Everything is clean and new. The staff seem busy. I had to wait a couple minutes before I could order. I didn’t even get eye contact for the first few minutes, lol. No attention, staff seem busy, is okay by me, so orders are coming in. But it’s the same bright venue serving decent pizza. As for this week they have the 99 Cents a slice pizza. Their menu is still from the Astoria Blvd location and there’s three tables. All seems delivery orders for now. It’s stocked and up and running.
The pizza seems fresh and just like all the other Papa John’s Pizza. They make an okay pie. Right now all seems decent.
