This is my new favorite quick service, delicious food joint. Authentic, great menu selection and more spacious inside than what you would think from the outside. I love the chicken kabob with pita and extra feta cheese. The sauces are tasty too!!!

A delightful find! My spouse and I really enjoyed our visit to Mediterranean Grill. The place is owned by the same folks that also have popular locations in Decatur. The prices are reasonable and the food was great. The veggies in the veg. platter were delicious and seasoned so well. The Falafel sandwich was the best I’ve had in Georgia. The people that work there were extremely polite and accommodating. I personally enjoyed the food here more than the other 2 Mediterranean places I’ve tried in Athens so far.

Update: I brought my father to this restaurant and was mortified. The tabbouleh was so old it was SLIMY and the hummus was watery. I’ve heard that the owner doesn’t come into the restaurant anymore, and I think that’s why the food quality has gone down. I really can’t recommend this restaurant anymore. We left without finishing anything. My family is from the area where the owner was born, and this food is the real deal. I was so disappointed when I tried the sultan, which is garbage, but this café serves authentic food that tastes just like what I would eat at home. The hummus and baba ghanouj are on point, and if you love spicy food make sure to try their homemade shatta sauce. The tabbouleh is hands down the best I’ve ever had that hasn’t been at someone’s mom’s dinner table. Every kabob is cooked to perfection, and the kouftah and shawarma are perfectly spiced and flavorful. You can get an amazing deal for the $ 8 business lunch special and try all the different meats. They also serve real Turkish coffee(made correctly! It had to have the«face» on top!) and Arabic style sweet tea. I really can’t recommend this place enough. If you don’t like your meal, you don’t like authentic cuisine from the levant.

Let me share with you that not only is the food delicious and the prices more than reasonable, the staff and management are very customer satisfaction oriented. This is my favorite restaurant in Athens now… supplanting Cali & Titos, which is a huge feat in itself! And it’s new to Athens!

The food was flavorless and greasy. The staff were nice, but I definitely won’t be returning.

Yum! Great tasting, well-executed sandwiches, entrees and sides. Super tender beef shish kabob is really delicious, and what an incredible value in a sandwich for only $ 5.95! Other reviewers have noted the great weekday lunch special. If I lived here, I’d be here once a week at least. Greek potatoes are delicious and garlic-flavored. Turkish coffee with its aroma of cardamom was a fun treat paired with a delicious piece of baklava. Sweet and unsweet tea both have a delicious Mediterranean flavor. The atmosphere is nothing special, but the delicious(and well-priced) food makes this place a winner. I am curious about their calamari, their lamb shanks, and lots more. Oh, and the staff are nice, too.

I’ve been here more times subsequently, and the last time I ordered the lunch special, it was properly cooked, which is encouraging, because it means I can bump them up. Though I do prefer the chicken kabob sandwich. This place has become very popular, and with good cause – the food is tasty.

I’ve always been amazed that Athens doesn’t have decent middle eastern food, coming from Baton Rouge which has tons of it I was spoiled… Well finally it’s here! Good food, nice folks, good prices… I’ll be back often

I am sad to say this is one of the worst Athens restaurants and the worst medi I have ever had. Save your money and time and get a Greek platter at earthfare. The dolmas are so bad that I couldn’t even eat one. Sad to have another 5 points restaurant that is subpar.

It was sooooo good and I’m Lebanese so I’m a snob about Mediterranean food and it was delish. Huge servings, great Greek potatoes. Great hummus. Only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is pita wasn’t warm. It was all great though and fast!

Authentic, freshly made middle eastern food – so good! Prices are great too, $ 8 business combo lunch is a ton of tasty goodness(grilled filet, kabobs, shawerma, pita, salad, rice, and drink). Will definitely make this a regular spot. As good as their other locations in Atlanta and Decatur.
