Unfortunately I am unable to rate the food quality itself since I never received it! I can say however, that I had the worst customer service experience from Joe and the delivery staff. I placed my lunch order online well in advance; at 11:30am. After waiting 2 hours for my food to arrive, after calling the restraunt 3 times and being assured my food was on the way, come to find my $ 40 order was cancelled and taken back to the store. The manager refused to send someone to redeliver as it was«my fault I didn’t answer the phone to begin with». I never received a single call or text. He told me I can come pick the food up or it will be thrown away and was completely unreasonable. I wouldn’t have ordered delivery I was able to pick my food up! Being at work, I’ve now missed my lunch completely since I cannot leave to get it. Now I have to wait a minimum of 3 – 5 days for my money to be returned for a mistake they clearly made on their end. I will never order from here again!

The tuna salad is like watery creamy slop. It was really unappealing. The cream cheese cup was the size of a large thimble.

I had to update my review as my boss brought in some of these for work one morning and they were really great. I have no idea what the difference was. But, I suppose, some of the complaints I had before(the wait and the cost) did not apply this time. But the bagels tasted fresh and great. And the cream cheese is also good — even the Lite, which I typically avoid. I had two bagels in one day! Probably not the smartest thing for my diet. But, yum.

I’ve been to bagel palace a number of times. The bagels are pretty good for Atlanta standards(I’m from New York so I know a good bagel). The service, on the other hand, is obnoxiously terrible. On my last visit I waited over an hour from ordering… just for a toasted bagel with cream cheese and nova. The waiter would not give us updates, and was impossible to flag down. when I finally received my bagel, it was simply a toasted bagel… Cream cheese on the side, nova on the side. In other words, I waited over an hour for them to toast a bagel. Nova was pretty fishy, cole saw was straight up bad, and the tuna salad was good but too expensive. Will not come back. Try Goldbergs instead(same shopping center): bagels are still pretty good, service is way better, more bang for your buck, and nicer ambience…

This is one of the places that make me wish I lived in Atlanta rather than visited every now and then because I would come here at least once a week if I was here. It is very close to an authentic NY style deli in look and feel, although the food is not. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and the menu is fun because of the number of items that are on there. First they have a very deep menu. There are a large number of items to choose from including the standard breakfasts such as omelets, french toast, and corned beef hash. For lunch they have burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, etc. However you can also get blintzes, egg cream sodas, knish, matzo ball soup, and much more which are typical of the deli’s on the east coast where I grew up. Additionally they have a full service bakery where you can purchase their bagels and have various items made to order for you as long as you are willing to wait a day or two for it. On my visit, I had the matzo ball soup, knish, and a roast beef sandwich, with an egg cream soda. The eggcream was actually the first one I had drunk in many years, and it was phenomenal. It is not a typical egg cream made with Fox’s U Bet, and instead it was made with Hershey’s. However I must say that the Hershey’s version tasted much better. It was fantastic. Second, I had the authentic matzoball chicken soup. The matzoball was perfect, not too firm, not too soft. It was excellent. The potato knish was also good, and complemented the matzo ball soup well. Finally, I had a roast beef sandwich. The roast beef was flavorful and delicious, and there were just enough toppings on it to make the whole thing stand on its own. All in all, it is a place that doesn’t exactly remind me of home, but it is close enough to be an enjoyable experience. I can’t wait to come here again.

This is the best deli in Atlanta! The menu is large and includes both kosher and non-kosher items. It can be a little crowded on the weekend, but that’s only because the word is out on how amazing this place is.

Their cream cheeses are amazing!!! But one time i came into bagel palace only to find they sold out of bagels. I asked how does that even happened to one of the workers there and she gave me an attitude. Told me i shouldve called before making the drive. I ignored her rudeness and continued browsing around. I asked her for a take out menu and she said that they dont have one. And then she makes another sly remark to take picture of the menu since its the 21st century. The nerve of that girl. I would’ve given this place a 5 star rating but that worker was just un called for. If you go avoid the girl with dark brown hair if you want to leave this«palace» in a good mood.

Ordered delivery waited the hour they said it would take then they call me when they are supposed to deliver food to tell me they can not deliver that I can come get the food. Kind of sucks why not call me right after order was made or even half way in not when they are supposed to be here. Updated: Tried to give them another chance today and yet again they fail miserably. Their food is not near as good as Goldberg bagels the service is lacking. This was my last attempt with this place. Don’t waste your time.

Had take out from here before and it was good. Came back a second time and waited 30 – 40 minutes to be served a cold bagel(that was supposed to be toasted) and even worse I had to make it myself. The cream cheese was in the tiniest containers which I don’t even think would cover my bagel. what’s the point of dining in if I have to do all the work myself and wait half an hour to get it? I will not be returning.

I ordered a ruben. They gave me meat and flimsy bread; nothing else. No sour kraut, no dressing. The food is good, but your money is not shown well with what you get.

Customers are treated as if they are family. It’s just a very haimisha place. The bagels, pastries and Deli selections are delicious! I use Bagel Palace for my catering needs when family and friends come to visit. They always thank me for providing such wonderful treats. If on the very rare occasion something goes awry, Joe, Sue, Manny, Robbin and or the staff will make everything right. Just wonderful sweet people who appreciate their customers. I happened to be at the Shiva mentioned in another review. I found the quality of the food and quantity to be beyond reproach, in fact, I thought the portions were particularly generous. Of course the bagels are always superior to any other bagel available in the area. The rest of the spread provided was just fine. I heartily recommend Bagel Palace and will continue to enjoy both its menu offerings and its superior customer service. L’Chaim!!!

Simple, consistent, yummy. I’ve been going here since I was a young child. I’ve always liked it. We would get fresh, soft bagels on Christmas Day for brunch. Their fish selection is good and their baked items are great.

What a treat to find a bagel place like this that has clearly thrived even as ‘big box’ competitions has moved in on every corner around it. Clearly it is all made fresh. Bagels are soft and fragrant, with so many variations. They probably have a dozen different smears. I had the Sundried Tomato Bagel with Green Olive Cream Cheese Smear… YUM! Hubby had standard whole wheat but with peach pecan smear. They also have a full breakfast menu and NY style sandwiches for lunch.

I love bagel palace. They have all the fun food my family(jewish) ate growing up. Still have it every time I go home. They have great bagels and the snacks are fantastic!

The food was good and the price and portions were good as well. They serve breakfast but they also have a bakery section with cookies and cupcakes. I got the veggie omelette($ 7 and a change) that comes with your choice of a bagel and grits or fries. The place is a pretty good size. Although the building is older they maintain it well. The lady who I think is the owner likes to work fast so be ready to order.

Solid breakfast spot. I had the pastrami omelet which was tasty but nothing out of this world. My friend had the pizza bagel and loved it. The only not tasty item were the hash browns, clearly cooked in too much oil. As others have mentioned the bagels are the real draw. They gave me plenty of cream cheese but I only like a medium amount so if you like a cheesy bagel ask for extra upfront. Definitely prefer the bagel palace to Goldbergs across the plaza but it is hard competing against the general Muir down the street. However this is definitely the more affordable option!

I awoke deciding that the only option for morning food was bagels and luckily my day was to take me near the Bagel Palace! Not that it is much of a palace, but more of a proper bagelry with all of the schmears, bialys, baked goods, and everything related. I showed up just before 10am and the place had a good crowd gathered at tables and waiting to place orders. I stepped up and the nice girl behind the counter took my order in a rather… odd fashion. I wanted to order four bagels total — two cheddar with egg, cheese,(one with turkey sausage) and two others with a schmear. The other two were a egg & onion bagel with jalapeño cream cheese and a blueberry bagel with butter. The bagels were great, though the cheddar bagels had a bit of a sweet tinge… My only observation and thought on constructive criticism is how they take orders and then move onto preparation. The schmears I wanted were in a completely opposite part of the shop. In the deli section, mind you. So, the poor girl had to deal with orders coming out of the kitchen, had to work on toasting bagels in the awkwardly placed toaster, and had to run to the other side of the shop to get other items. I’d highly recommend they move these items into a centrally located area for a short time during their morning rush. The whole process seemed quite off and I was worried some things would be forgotten from my order. Luckily, though the process was a lengthy one, I walked away happy with everything. I’d definitely return for breakfast as it is close to my wife’s workplace. The bagels were good and I’d love to try a few other things on the menu.

I went to breakfast here about three weeks ago and I was very happy. The food came to the table in five minutes. My pastrami omelette with hash browns was both piping hot and tasty. My everything bagel was good but there was almost not enough cream cheese to spread over it. I think this place is a bit chinsy /stingy with the cream cheese servings as well as some other menu items. Chinsy /stingy servings of certain menu items is just one of many problems I have encountered at this restaurant. In my most recent visit my mom and I went here and we sat waiting for an hour drinking coffee before being served our food. I had ordered pretty much the same meal as in the previous visit except that this time I got a corned beef omelette instead of a pastrami omelette. We almost canceled our order after we had realized we had been waiting nearly an hour. To make matters worse, the table next to us got their food before we did(even though we had arrived and were seated before them). Our waiter, who looked like a young Jim Gaffigan, kept telling us our order would be coming out shortly. At one point he even gave us some Kosher half-sour pickles to munch on while we waited; a nice gesture to be sure, but I’d rather get my food order in a more timely fashion. At one point we tried to cancel our order and leave but Young Jim G. assured us our food would be right out. We got our food maybe ten minutes later. We were also told by the waiter(and later the cashier) that the restaurant was presently short-handed in the kitchen. He assured us that they were about to hire more personnel so we would not have the same problems in future visits. When we checked out at the register to pay our bill, we complained about the long wait and they gave us a 10% discount(a kind remedy albeit a weak one). We were told yet again that they were going to hire more help. Waiting for over an hour for our food is a very serious problem! And yet a problem that the managers /owners appear to accept rather casually. I may not ever return here because of that issue — regardless of the rationale. There are just too many other decent restaurant choices in this neighborhood. One other popular Jewish Deli is on the other side of the shopping center while yet another is perhaps a mile away across the street from Emory and The CDC. None of the other places nearby has ever had me waiting one hour from the point I ordered food up to the point I got served my food. The food here is good but perhaps not great. Service is spotty if not downright inconsistent. Ownership /management, over the years, has always seemed to have set odd priorities that manifest themselves into glaring problems. This place generally seems to do well in spite of the aforementioned problems; however, I believe that the longstanding glaring problems will forever keep this place from becoming the bonafide success story that it could be.

The first time we were here, we were seated promptly, but took 37 minutes to get our food. The second time we also were seated within a couple minutes of arriving, but again the food took maybe 20 minutes to get to our table after we had ordered. However, the servers are exceptionally sweet and attentive, even if the food does come out slowly. I ordered 12A(omelette with basil, tomato, mozzarella) with grits and 2 pancakes instead of a bagel. The omelette was delicious, one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant – bursting with fresh flavor, melty with cheese, but(IMPORTANTLY) not too greasy, which is usually my hangup with omelettes that I’m not making myself. The pancakes are really good! Maybe the best in Atlanta so far. Likewise with the challah french toast… while the presentation might be a bit more sophisticated elsewhere(Pastries A Go Go, I’m looking at you!), I simply loved the wonderfully eggy, cinnamony soft french toast they had here. Skip the grits, though. I don’t think there’s anything in there except cornmeal and water… which could be to some individuals’ liking, but not mine. The pastrami omelette was also a bit strange. On the whole, this place as a sit-down restaurant is really not the place to grab a quick bite(unless you’re getting items to go, of course), but I think their food is above average and the service is excellent. Things just move at their own pace sometimes, that’s all.

I have been an on and off Bagel Palace customer since their inception in the late 80s or early 90s. I’m so old I can’t even remember! They replaced another bakery that I still miss because they had these insane cheddar-chive rolls. Mmmmm cheese. It’s okay though, because Bagel Palace has some damn fine bagels and many varieties of cream cheese. A poppy seed bagel with the herb version of the spread can’t be beat. We went in for Christmas breakfast, as is family tradition. As the years tick by, I’ve noticed something sad: the food at the Bagel Palace baaaaasically sucks. I want it to be a bitchin’ Jewish Deli, but they’re just kinda mediocre. I got my usual; a two-cheese omelet(swiss and Muenster), hash browns, and my fave bagel. The bagel was delicious, as always. The hash browns are super greasy, but I can forgive them for that. The omelet is just… not my fave. They cook the egg really thin, and then wrap it around the cheese, kinda like a burrito. I guess this is a real way to make an omelet, I just don’t care for it. Everything is pretty bland, but I guess that’s my fault since it’s just eggs and cheese. I needed generous sprinkles of salt and pepper to get the eggs in my gullet. My husband ordered a reuben with potato salad. When the plate was set down, I said, «Damn, that potato salad is WHITE.» It looked to be just potatoes and mayo. No veggies, no pepper, just a cup o’ white. He tried some and said it was bland, to the surprise of no one. He enjoyed the Reuben a lot, though. When the sandwich was gone, he went back for a bite of potato salad. I said, «Noooo! Don’t do it!» and he said, «It’s actually strangely…» and then he took another bite and said, «No, never mind. It’s not good at all.» Our bill was about $ 30 after tip. Our waitress is the same one I’ve had nearly every time I’ve dined there. She’s awesome and sweet and super on-the-ball. I just wish I liked the food more. When it comes to the Bagel Palace, come for the bagels, go elsewhere for other food.
