Houlihan’s was pretty creative when it comes to their food and service. Although this place is a little pricey, so don’t come here unless you have the right amount of money. The shrimp cocktail was awesome. the tender shrimp served with lemon and cocktail sauce. Its really good, even though its my first time having it, I really loved it. Would love to come here frequently.

I absolutely love the Thai chili wings. Although they are small & a bit pricey they are delicious! The service is okay and the other items are okay as well. Outside of the wings I wouldn’t say that Houlihan’s is a must go-to location when you’re in the airport.

The quesadilla was small and expensive. My waiter, Caso, is the friendliest waiter ever. He made great beer suggestions and made his own long island drink for me and provided the recipe. I don’t know where it is anymore. The restaurant is open and calming. I’d definitely recommend this place for dinner with your buddy before you have to part ways at the security checkpoint.

Eh, maybe in the south people assume you’re Hispanic if you look ethnic. I didn’t like that our Caucasian waiter would answer my questions in Spanish… I’m Asian/Black. hello. If you’re not sure don’t assume and one can’t be sure if they don’t know me personally. Other than that, the fish tacos I got had a minute piece of fish encased in literally 2 inches of breading… I couldn’t even eat it. Way too expensive for what you get.

So the food was good and all. maybe three but the reason I gave 4 stars is because I thought their service was great. The waitress that served me was super friendly and since I had like an hour or so until my flight. she told me to stay as long as I liked… even though I initially just ordered their sampler & a sprite. And this was after I finished eating She refilled my sprite for me… but my phone was dying. so I moved over to the side bar(and charged my phone) and continued sipping my sprite and was on my iPad… I eventually ordered a Tom Collins. which was so delicious… that I had to order another… this one unfortunately… was not as good as the first. but still good enough. :) It was a nice sit down place to relax… it was constantly filled with people(the tables. but this IS the airport… so I don’t know if that’s saying much… other than they need better airport food!!)

I give one star simply because this is the only place that serves drinks inside security in the main terminal. I would probably give none, but I can’t go that low. Ok, I give two because the Mai Tai said I should. Everything was severely overpriced, even for airport standards. Seriously, $ 6 for two handfulls of stale tortillas and a 4 oz. cup of salsa-from-a-bottle? I was embarrassed, as my friends were only here to see me on a planned layover on their way home from Cozumel. $ 1 for another 4 oz. cup of salsa? The only thing more insulting, though amusing, was the server informing us that she was leaving as she gave us the bill. No problem?! Not till she came to the table after we paid the bill to ask if we had anything for her. She stressed that it was ok, if we didn’t, but she was leaving so she wanted it, if anything NOW! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Can you guess what she got? It’s been a while since a server inspired me to skip out on a tip. She’s lucky we didn’t skip out on the bill!

Yeah, the food is pretty bad, but the beer is ok. As normal, I Unilocaled the place before I went in and there was a previous review giving it 1 star. Whatever, I thought, it’s an airport and it’s convenient for my gate. Plus, they had Guinness, Bass, and few others on tap. Since I had been traveling for business for two weeks and seriously abusing my body via an expense account, I figured I’d might as well get back into it and order a chicken caesar salad, dressing on the side. The salad came as ordered, but with a quarter of a chicken breast which was almost dried out to chicken jerky. In the end, it probably didn’t matter it came so light on the chicken as I could barely the eat the 4 slices it came with with. At least the croutons were good. This would be in 1 star territory for me if it wasn’t for two reasons.(1) the service is good for an airport restaurant, and the servers bust their ass and deliver.(2) I’d go back for a beer. If you’re flying out of Terminal A gates 23 – 26, this place is good to get a drink, but make sure to grab some food from the food court first.

The eggs may be fake, but the delicious egg croissant is real. It makes waiting for your flight so much more bearable in the morning! :)

Actually damn good for being in a crappy airport! I got a seat at the bar and had a delish Sweetwater 420 beer. It was nice and dark and the World Cup was on TV. Kim was my server and she was really nice and fast. I ordered the stuffed mushrooms, WOW they were good(or I was just drunk, but I think they were fantastic). Decent price for an airport restaurant too. I hope to never go back to the Atlanta airport but if I do I’m eating here for sure!

While searching around for a different sort of airport eatery to use before an upcoming trip out of ATL, I stumbled across several reviews for the Atlanta-Hartsfield Houlihan’s. Having eaten here several times, I must agree with most that the food is just OK, but decent for«airport food». I do, however, have some suggestions for those folks who want to eat and not people watch. Houlihan’s upstairs area is way less crowded, there is room to have your bags near you, but not so close they are in your way, and the service has always been exceptional. Another thought… the elevator in the restaurant is close to near impossible to reach if you have any sort of luggage since there is a crowd of tables you must navigate around to get there. The best option is to use the elevator just outside the restaurant, go up one floor, and there you are. Now if people-watching is your thing or you want to listen to the wonderful piano player, upstairs won’t do, but if you want a nice quiet meal, try upstairs. It just might make the difference for you.

Ran in here last week before my flight out of ATL — this is right across from A26. The chicken soup was money, but the crappy chicken salad(even by airport standards) makes Houlihan’s a no-go. The meat tasted incredibly processed. However, in the land of mediocre airport food, this still gets three stars since the soup worked and Houlihan’s has a counter where you can eat, work and charge your laptop battery before your flight.

Maybe 3.3 Stars. Gayle, my son, and I had a 4 hour layover at Hartsfield yesterday, and for lunch this Houlihan’s was just a short walk down from Gate A25. Both dine in and take out options are available here, but we decided to stay. The seating area is a little cramped and more so as we and other folks tried to keep our bags close. The service was a little slow in places, but the wait persons were friendly and doing their best within their crowd and space limitations. I also thought the prices were in line with non-airport venues of this type. I thought that my chicken quesadilla was just OK and I think my son and Gayle felt the same way about their sandwiches. At the same time, it was nice to sit down, relax, share an adult beverage with Gayle, and just hang out before departure time.

Service is good for an airport place. Mandarin salad was drenced in dressing… Chicken soup was too salty but could have used some pepper. Over all, better of the options at ATL.

I met my mom at the airport as she had a long layover there on her long layover to Las Vegas. We decided to have dinner at Houlihans, since I couldn’t go through security. For an airport restaurant, it as actually really good. The salad that comes with the meal is absolutely wonderful. Actually, one of the best salad’s I’ve had in quite some time. Shortly after we finished our salad, our food came out. The salmon that my mom had was very good, but it was served on a bed of lettuce which was weird, and wasn’t great because we just had eaten a great salad. I had the baby back ribs which were good. The service was fairly prompt, and our food came out quickly. The only problem I really had is that it’s much pricier than it should be, but that is probably because it’s in the airport. But for 40 dollars plus tip with no alcohol and just water to drink it sort of unreasonable. I would probably give three-and-a-half stars, but since that is not an option, i’ll round up, out of kindness, to four stars!

I had never been to a Houlihan’s before, but this place was pretty decent. The food came out fast and it was very good. I had a Caesar salad and it was very good, and my bf had the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer and it was HUGE! HUGE flat breads with cheese baked on them, and then a huge pot of dip. He usually finishes everything, but he could barely eat all of it there was so much. The dining area was a little tight, but again, it’s an airport so that much can be expected. Our server was a little weird, commenting that he liked his blackberry better then mine(what?)…overall it was fine, and I would probably go again if I am in ATL stranded at the airport.

S-L-O-W service. Mediorce food. Typical over priced airport prices. That about sums up our Houlihan’s experience. The place was packed but we got a table on the first floor. The beer was the best part of our meal but they were expensive. I ordered the club and the flavor was good but there was way too much extra bread. There was so much bread left behind I could have made another sandwich! The kicker was that my fries came out cold. Even though our server replaced them she disappear for a while after our meal. We had to flag down another server to get our check. Good thing we didn’t have a flight to catch!

The prices are WAY too high. That being said, I love this place. Why? Because Optimus loves airports. I’m fascinated by them. Can’t fit on a regular plane, of course, but I love flying. And whenever anyone asks for a volunteer to pick up someone at the airport — «I’ll do it!» And I get there an hour early, just to hang out here at Houlihan’s. Usually, there’s a fella at the piano playing jazz. The bartenders are friendly. The customers are too, usually. Because everyone’s either getting somewhere, going somewhere, or picking someone up. And that means an instant common point-of-conversation without expectations to chit-chat for longer than is interesting. Note to travelers: Do NOT run down the escalators the wrong way! You will get in serious trouble. Especially if I’m there. Optimus does not like nonsense at the airport after… you know. [Optimus bows head in reverential moment of silence.] Optimus OUT.

This location in Terminal A was alright. It certainly seemed better than some of the other choices to eat in the concourse. Now, I’ll be the first to admit this isn’t a place I would drive out of my way for, but considering what options you have while traveling, this was certainly better than one could usually hope. The dining area is cramped, yet seemingly arranged not so much that other dinners are a bother. In the evening, sit behind one of the columns because the sun will blind you if you are facing the windows. The service was fast, efficient, and friendly. Much better than what I was expecting. The food itself was pretty good. I ended up having the Brentwood chicken sandwich, and I must admit it was good. The sauce that I could add to it was mediocre at best, but it was alright in a small quantity. The whole wheat bun was amazing. I simply could have eaten it by itself. So yea, if you are traveling through ATL and have an hour or so to kill before breezing onto the plane, check it out. Just make sure to leave extra time to go to another concourse in case while you’re dining your plane changes locations, which isn’t that infrequent.
