Marlowe’s Tavern

Food was great. Management and staff very friendly. Went on a busy night but still was seated promptly and the service didn’t suffer due to being busy. Had the blackened chicken salad and it was spectacular.

I ordered the chicken stack, one of their specialties. Presentation and flavor was good but LOADED IN SODIUM. Chefs think they need salt to make the food taste better but they’re wrong! Less salt makes the flavor more delicate. They should think about all the people with high blood pressure that need to stay away from salt.
After having just a few forks I sent the food back because of its salt content. I was not offered anything else and not even modifying the meal. At the end I was charged for my full meal!!!

Very ordinary. Burger undercooked and bland. Quite unremarkable place, Had heard it was good but disappointed.

Marlow’s is a restaurant chain in the Southeast. This location is conveniently located in the hotel I stay at when I’m in Atlanta (Tucker) for business. I’ve probably dined at this restaurant over 30 times and I’ve never had a bad meal. Their food is consistently creative and always good. The problem with this place is the service. I usually get fair to good service which is all I ask for since I’m staying at this hotel. However, the service was especially bad during my recent visit which prompted me to travel outside my hotel for lunch and dinner the following 3 days. I give food 4 stars and service a 1 star.

It started out so great. Atmosphere, hype, and menu. The waiter was so pleasant. However, he forgot we ordered an app. When we politely inquired where they were, oops forgot. Oh well. Then he promised to take it off the bill (geez thanks) as we didn’t receive them. No other adjustment. Food good. Cocktails so so. Was planning on going again– don’t think so. Many options out there.

Live the rooftop patio with live music on weekends! Try the NOLA special Gin Fizz– ladies to die for blend of like lime sherbet meringue and pack a punch gin can’t hardly believe how yummy it is!
