I found Ocean 60 on Unilocal.By reading reviews, it was enough to come and try out. This is not your average dinner spot. I would like to say a couple of things about my experience. First off, such a classy, lovely atmosphere. Very quaint and romantic. We started with fresh bread and oil with spices, and an appetizer of fried calamari, which I can say was the best I’ve ever had, by far! To drink, I ordered a Cosmopolitan Martini and I will just say… PERFECT. Blended beautifully and it was happy hour! I had 2! For dinner I ate swordfish(which I never had before) and shrimp. It was served over perfectly cooked rice, along with scallops(which were incredibly tender, cooked just right) and a grouper fillet. I’ve never eaten better, this I swear to you. It was worth every cent, and the service was without question, the best I’ve ever had. I will eat here again, and pretty soon!

Three of us went out for a special occasion & Ocean 60 didn’t disappoint. We made an Open table reservation for 5pm & were seated in the main dining room at a window table(as requested). We started off with Caesar salads. My wife & her brother ordered the filet Oscar & they were both cooked as ordered & very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were smooth & creamy. After a stressful day, I was in the mood for some comfort food. I ordered the meatloaf & it was fantastic. For desert, we each had the French apple tart with vanilla ice cream, yum. We also had some good coffee with our desert. Service was very good. «Curtis» & the manager«Eric» both stopped by our table to make sure everything that we were pleased.

This is by far the best restaurant in the area. Service was excellent food was on point great flavor nice presentation. Don’t waste your money at other places near by I have been to all of them prices are high and quality terrible. Seafood had great texture, fresh, and cooked perfectly.

After being undecided as to where we should go to dinner on a Thursday night, my friend decided we should come here. He chose the place specifically because he knows that I love seafood and that I’d never been here before. Also on Thursdays they have a Latin guitarist playing in the bar area. I secretly dread coming out to this area because parking can be really bad but I was willing to give it a shot. I managed to find a spot over by One Ocean just as someone was pulling out and my friend was not too far behind me, finding an available spot directly in front of Ocean 60. It must’ve been a booked night as the hostess had hoped we made a reservation, which we did. We sat over in the bar area at a table and checked out the menu. Honestly, everything sounded fabulous. My dining partner let me choose an appetizer and I chose the Goat Cheese and Shrimp Spadini, which the cheese is baked with artichokes, roasted peppers(red, yellow, and green), caramelized onions, cilantro pesto and served with a side of sundried tomato tortilla chips. The dish was a bit odd-looking when it came out because the veggies, shrimp and cheese were swimming in this green soup which was the cilantro pesto. I wasn’t expecting the pesto to be reduced down and with that the flavor was simply not there. Everything else was great. For my entrée, I went with the Loaded Seafood Pasta. I hadn’t had a pasta dish in a while so I wanted to carb it up tonight. It featured clams, mussels, shrimp, bay scallops, and some sort of whitefish, maybe grouper on top of fettuccine noodles and a excellent creamy white sauce. That was very good and I scarfed down the entire entrée. No sharing here. By now I had no room for dessert and was happily full. The Latin guitarist never showed up and went we asked our server about it she said«sometimes he’s here, sometimes he’s not» but in a more polite way. I hope they change the advertising instead of leading the customers to think he’s there every week. Other than that, I’d come back to try other dishes.

We ate here last night for my wife’s birthday. It was just the two of us and we had a reservation at 7. We started with a martini at the bar but we didn’t get to take advantage of happy hour because those specific martinis were too much on the sweet side for us. I had a vodka jalapeño drink and the bartender made my wife a vodka, mint, and muddled strawberry drink. Once we sat, we were surprised to find a happy birthday message in the menu. The server must have been seated with several tables at once because the service was really slow but we were in no rush so all was good. We had the Brussels sprouts and calamari to start with. The Brussels were amazing and I wish we had ordered it twice because the calamari was nothing special. I won’t order it again. We wanted to save room for dessert so we split an entrée and decided on the Fried Whole Fish. It was incredible. We would never imagine ordered something like this but it was delicious. For dessert we did the banana pudding which I personally wasn’t a huge fan of but it definitely wasn’t bad. I also ended with the butterfinger martini which was pretty phenomenal! The manager took care of our dessert either because of my wife’s birthday or because of the server being so busy but either way it was a really nice gesture!

While visiting a friend in Jacksonville, we decided to check out Ocean 60 for dinner. My one friend ordered a butterfinger martini which was rimmed in butterfinger crumbs. It was almost too pretty to drink!.. luckily, somehow she was able to drink every drop. The food was fresh tasting and the service was great. I’m not sure if it’s every night, but the night that we were there, they had live music which was pretty good.

3.5 stars. I’ve been here twice on dates and the service is wonderful. We had the same waiter both times we were there. Everyone was nice, accommodating and helpful. The price of the food is a little high for what you get. My husband got the whole fried fish each time and that was delicious and worth the price. My entrees that I ordered were all too rich and too much cream… so the food might be a hit or miss but the service is great.

Really great food and I love coming here for happy hour and sitting outdoors! Amazing atmosphere. I haven’t actually sat inside but it looks nice in there. The martinis are plentiful in variety and tasty!

I never heard of this place but we had a bachelorette party and the bride to be picked this place. I was very pleasantly surprised! The martinis were yummy and I was able to get them during happy hour. I ordered the Crispy Brussels and Pork Carnitas and Calamari. The brussel sprouts were crispy and delicious and the squid was tender.

2.5 to 3– came here on a groupon so the prices were decent. Without the groupon the food would have been overpriced– which is why I won’t be returning. Started with a happy hour dirti martini– nothing special– but tasty– let’s move on. Skipped appetizers and went right for the mains. I had the whole fried fish– an Atlantic Beach staple and handled well. Not the biggest fish– probably 1.5 pounds. It was served on a small bed of Basmati rice with a tasty curry sauce. The standout was the curry sauce– this stuff was good and should be served on the side to dip the fish in imho. Some fresh cilantro perhaps– as it stood there wasn’t enough sauce to help the fish along. $ 24 for this– tasty but missing the wow. The other dish was a very confusing seared tuna thing served on mashed sweet potatoes. Firstly, that combo doesn’t work– and the soy sauce/ginger reduction was cloying and served as a bizarre counterpunch to the potatoes. The tuna was mid-grade at best and wasn’t seared properly– the inside was medium instead of the lucious purple/red you expect. And those potatoes– I don’t know what they were thinking. Maybe some crispy rice cakes and some wok seared baby bok choy– a ginger/yuzu beur blanc. Something– anything– but not sweet potatoes. Fail.
Service was decent enough– without the groupon it’s a $ 100 dinner for 3 drinks and 2 mains. Bitch please.

Good food, good drinks and good service here. My waitress was friendly and knowledgeable as she expertly briefed me on the food and wine items available. She claimed the swordfish was her favorite and made it sound so enticing that I had to try it. Before that, the bread and oil was served, which I was disappointed to find a bit on the cooler side, not warm at all. But then my entrée arrived and it was delicious, not overcooked, served with a light plum sauce upon a bed of rice and veggies. A white wine with my meal complimented things perfectly. Prices seemed fair for the area and food offered. It does get lively so I wouldn’t suggest this spot for a quiet, romantic dinner. All in all, I was pleased with this restaurant and would happily visit again.

Went to dinner on a Monday night. I had a bad day, even for Monday standards and I was hoping that having a nice meal would balance out the bad. Luckily for me, we had attentive and friendly service and a very nice hangar steak with bowtie seafood pasta. We arrived in time for Happy Hour. My bellini was yummy and my husband’s French Pear Martini was even better. The complimentary bread was flavorful and rich. I love carbs so this was a two thumbs up moment. I’m glad we had a groupon, which made the meal affordable. Overall, we had a good experience and enjoyed dinner. I’d like to return and check out their seafood menu and try that Butterfinger Martini. I might have to find a reason to drive all the way out there and do just that.

Ryan gave us amazing service. Recommended the coconut martini /WOW! So yummy, yes sir may I have another! Had a great time sitting on the front patio. Ended up sharing our table with some brilliance folks from London/Calgary/Vancouver&Amsterdam. Okay the drinks were flowing the meals were outrageous. Not your normal caesar salad — so try it! Order from their specials menu, it will not disappoint.

Martinis One word . Martinis = AMAZING! You must go for their drinks, fresh seafood and live music. Wednesday is ladies night. Several bloggers and drink websites freaked out when I showed them their drink menu. I am obsessed with cocktails, work for beverage companies and have a pretty large bar at home. I am very picky with cocktails but this menu has something for everyone. They have mojitos, classic cocktails, martini sand more. The butterfinger martini is life changing !!! Happy hour 4 – 7 for martinis and ladies night on Wednesday. Check them out !!

Good food and friendly atmosphere. I have bronzed diver scallops for appetizer … The scallops are fresh and I can taste the sweetness of the seafood … Also it is well paired with risotto … However the dish is a bit salty … Reducing the salty would add lot of flavor to this dish. I also have New England Bake which is cod with crab and lobster meat … Fish is excellent and I have to admit the sweet corn coulis is excellent paired with the dish. Waiter is extremely nice and friendly and a lot look alike to Reese Witherspoon.

For a long time we didn’t get the courage to go for dinner to this otherwise awesome looking restaurant because of the live music component(a repellant for us). Until there was a Groupon and we finally took a chance, since the tables in the back by the window seemed so inviting .and there was promise that the live music may not be too much of a pain. Absolutely loved it! The live music, if there was such, wasn’t any kind of a problem. Noise level was very acceptable. The environment is very pleasant and the service has been excellent(we went more than once since that one first time). The dishes are delicious! Great selection and beautiful presentation. I love their martinis. We have been going back since and this restaurant has become a respectable rival to our other top favorite seafood place in this same price range, Aqua Grill. I would strongly recommend this restaurant !

From start to finish, Ocean 60 was phenomenal. My wife and I enjoyed happy hour Martinis and diligent service at this excellent bistro just minutes from the Atlantic coast. The ambiance was upscale without being haughty or pretentious. We felt at home walking through the door. Our first drinks were happy hour specials. My wife’s Bellini was perfect but the dirty vodka was made with a lesser vodka that cleared my sinuses. Thankfully, switching to the dirty goose martini(grey goose vodka) eliminated the issue and my martini was excellent. My wife’s second drink, the pineapple upside down martini was great too. Our food was spectacular. I got the seafood paella and my wife got the shrimp scampi. Her dish was flavorful without the oiliness that plagues many scampi dishes. Lemony and fresh, the seafood stood on its own. The paella was well executed as well. Certainly not a traditional Spanish paella, here it was served with a much more saucy rice that has soaked up the salty seafood flavor. A crab claw, and seared snapper graced the dish along with plentiful shrimp and a few bay scallops. Mussels and clams rounded out the veritable reef of delicious morsels in this dish. The food and drinks were great. Our server went above and beyond in addition to possessing a great attitude. As a native born Californian, I have to say this place made me more a fan of Florida than I believed possible.

Ocean 60 was so freaking delicious!!! I will definitely be back. The drinks and food are awesome, and I love the visuals as well. I visited just a few nights ago and sat outside. BEAUTIFUL! You can kind of see the beach from the outside seating as well. I got the New England Bay flounder. So tender and flavorful. I also got a razz ‘rita, and some happy hour martini that had vanilla vodka with fruity syrups and juice. I am looking forward to trying more menu items and drinks.

Went there for the first time celebrating my husbands birthday. Walked in and greeted by the very polite hostess and asked if we could have a drink at the bar first even though our reservation was at the time we arrived and she gladly accommodated our request and showed us to the lounge area whew we were taken great care of by the bartender who was very friendly and will definitely be back to see him. We then walked back to the dining room side and our table perfectly by the window was all set up for us. Being a F&B person my whole life the special touch was wonderful they even had special menus printed with happy birthday at the top! The whole experience, food, service and management exceeded my expectations! We will be back for sure!!!

Ocean 60 is a GREAT place for a nice date night out. Especially if you go during happy hour and take advantage of some of their awesome deals. The martinis are fantastic. The apps are delicious. I’ve never had a bad meal or experience here EVER!
