I had chicken gyro deluxe platter and my wife had chicken gyro. It was amazing. Give it a try if you are close to boardwalk.

This is one of the hidden treasures of Atlantic City. The food is awesome, fresh and has the feeling of pride when served. Three people ready to help on the drop of the hat. Forgot my reading glasses and as I squinted a pair was offered. Clean, pleasant and great atmosphere. The place is lined with currency and is well lit. Don’t pass up the gem of a place. Great good, great prices and service second to none. I am from NJ and this place just has that feel.

Deep into fall with most of the Boardwalk shutdown, Bill’s was there with hot coffee and quick service. I wish I had seen it sooner. It was close to the Atlantic Palace and apparently always open. I wanted the Belgian waffles, but they didn’t have them. I got an English muffin with bacon and egg. The restaurant at my hotel was not open. I started walking around and was directed to Bill’s. You can get whatever you might wan here. See the menu and photos. This is a great concept year-round. It’s not fancy, but it definitely will do in a pinch.

This is the only place I would eat a gyro at. It amazing! It not to bland or salty. It fills you up. literally! Although it a bit far away for me it really close to the arcade and believe it or not.

Bill’s Gyro is the embodiment of the phrase«hole in the wall.» Nestled amidst the sea of cheasy tourist traps along Atlantic City’s boardwalk, Bill’s quite simply, is what it is. It’s a greasy spoon, diner-esque style restaurant in a slim storefront that peddles the absolute best breakfast sandwich one could possibly want after a night in Atlantic City. It’s just bread, cheese, and bacon, but ohhh the goodness. It’s open 24 hours and I’m sure would be a great stop after hitting some bars along the boardwalk, or if you’re not quite ready for the party to stop, they also serve alcohol and will sell you booze to go as well. I’ve always gotten my breakfast goodness to go and the service has always been prompt and attentive. They aren’t quite the friendliest bunch, but after a night in AC I’m pretty OK sitting at the bar waiting for my food in silence. Someday I hope to actually try a gyro… maybe next time!

Amid the homeless, crack addicts, prostitutes and seriously aggressive seagulls on Atlantic City’s boardwalk, Bill’s Gyro is a little gem that’s actually serving up really good food. For whatever reason I willingly come to Atlantic City once every couple months with a large group of friends. Usually, we will enjoy a sit down brunch in the mornings, but a few of us wanted to try something different so, we strolled on the boardwalk and stumbled upon Bill’s. My first time at Bill’s it was early afternoon and we simply ordered bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. They were standard and solid. We enjoyed them on the boardwalk as it was an uncharacteristically beautiful day. The service was quick and everyone was cool. After wandering around the boardwalk for a few hours and truly soaking in the fading misery of atlantic city we ended up coming back to Bill’s for lunch. I ordered a souvlaki/gyro combination sandwich. It was delicious. My only complaint with Bill’s would be the pricing for beverages. Their fountain soda costs are stupidly expensive, but it what it is. On the outside, Bill’s looks like a place I would never walk into. It just screams, «WESERVEAWFULFOODHERE» but don’t let the corny signage dissuade you. Even when you walk inside the place is strange looking. For example, the entire store is decorated with dollar bills which are covered with a thin coating of plastic. It’s not a good look by any means, BUT looks aside this place shattered my expectations. Really great food, overall. So, if you’re on the boardwalk and looking for a quick, easy and tasty meal Bill’s gyro is good move.

Great food and value for money. Clean friendly place to have a quick Greek dinner. How you like Bare foot Wine otherwise stick to hard stuff. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal in a relaxed environment

First, I haven’t tried the food here and it did look good. We came in for a drink twice and the drinks were cold but not all that cheap for the atmosphere — we paid about $ 6 per Miller Light bottle. I would come back for Brunch as it looked hopping but I would skip the alcohol.

I don’t usually write reviews but this time, i just can’t help but do so. I ordered chicken platter for $ 13 1. No gloves? — Do all boardwalk food places not use gloves? This is the second place I went today that poked and handled my food without gloves. It’s disgusting! I wanted to walk out but my brother didn’t want to be rude so we stayed until we get our order. 2. Food is not good. — Portions are ridiculously small. Seriously, their chicken leg is the size of my little finger. The fries are soggy and stale like they’ve been sitting there all day. The oil they used to fry my chickens seem old too, the chicken skin came out really hard, like ice cream cone hard, not crunchy, just terribly hard. 3. I did not get a receipt, I wanted to take a picture of it so I could show proof, but the guy ringing us up was deep inside the place. He took the money and just gave us change, even gave my brother wrong amount at first. Avoid going to these places. I lived and grew up in a 3rd world country and i’ve seen street restaurants in my country that are much cleaner than these places. Nasty people!

I’ve walked by this place right on the Boardwalk on every AC trip and after seeing the Unilocal reviews decided to give it a try. The place smells a little like lamb when you walk in which it a little overwhelming but you get used to it quickly. The pancakes were hot and fresh, the bacon was tasty and cooked just right, and the home fries were about as good as I’ve had in a long time. The coffee was fine but very hot and everything is served on paper plates with plastic silverware and Styrofoam cups. You aren’t here for ambiance, you’re here to stuff your piehole. This place is tiny so I could see it getting crowded quickly. I’d come back here and skip the overpriced casino breakfast options. Also, there’s dollar bills EVERYWHERE including taped to the seats. You can’t miss the sign on the Boardwalk.

Want a meal away from the casinos but still close by? This is your place. I can’t vouch for their more traditional offerings like the gyro, but I can suggest/strongly recommend ordering the super-cheap Hebrew hot dog. It’s a foot long and pops out of its bun. It’s silly and I love it. Actually, I probably laughed at it longer than what was appropriate, but… whatever. Look at the attached photo and try not to laugh. I mean, really. …Darn good hot dog, though.

No hotdog, only kalkalash. Ok, I lied, there is a hotdog. It’s a foot long, which on a regular roll looks sort of ridiculous. Oddly enough, I went to a souvlaki stand and got a burger. I didn’t want to fill up on a gyro. The burger was exactly what i expected out of a griddle burger. nice and tasty. Came with a lot of lettuce and a macaroni salad, for some reason, but it was exactly what I needed to hold me over from a late lunch to a midnight snack.

Yum Bills is a great option for you lamb lovers. The place is lined with dollar bills, and its pretty obvious that they serve and sell booze out the wazoo… Just check out the situation behind the bar. I decided to go with the Gyro Platter. Delightful crisp lamb served with greek salad, pita, fries, and a heap of tzatziki sauce. You can’t go wrong. At just about thirteen dollars the portion is appropriate. The service is also on point but nothing to scream about. If you don’t mind the slight greasiness and outdated décor Bill’s is a wonderful escape from the casinos.

Gyro, souvlaki, FF, tzadziki, beer! What else do you want for a quick snack or a sit down lunch/dinner. This is the real deal homestyle Greek fast food. Fresh, juicy, hot, and crispy. This is an Atlantic City boardwalk gem and landmark. The laminated well-wishing dollars are adorned EVERYWHERE! A must see!!! Very original and unique. The owner is one of the most generous and philanthropic men in the community. Well respected and loved by all. He is a master we can all learn from. He is truly blessed. BRAVO! My friend Lena quotes«it’s authentic Greek food that’s amazing and tasty. It’s a spunky cool spot to relax, eat, and full your hungry belly.» I come to AC several times a year. I always stop in. Never ever missed a trip where I didn’t eat here. Always pass through with a friend or two. My sister’s karate group has eaten here several times too. They all rave and love it! OBVI!!! Till the next time my friends…
