How can you go wrong… great food and excellent service. It is that simple. Congratulations!

Absolutely disappointed with the food, service and the entire experience. A party of 12 people should had been treated a lot better than we were. 2 appetizers were sent back and 3 main courses returned with nothing replaced due to the poor experience. Take off your wish list.

Outstanding experience. Not all restaurants are made the same, especially when you go to a tourist type destination such as Atlantic City. Whenever you head to a spot that you’re not too familiar with, many of us had to review pages such as Unilocal.I did just that, and was not disappointed by il Mulino. The service was second to none and quite frankly I should just end the review right here. Because the service alone is worth the price of the ticket. I enjoy restaurants with a delicate touch and a bold cuisine. This place has got it. You could read are the reviews and get an understanding for the amount & quality of food that comes out before you even receive a menu to select an appetizer but just know that you will not be making a mistake if you were looking for a high-end quality restaurant that leaves you feeling satisfied and important. Thank You

This restaurant and its partner restaurant next door will take you away from the rest of the atmosphere in the Taj Mahal and give you some fine dining experience, but the prices here are more expensive than most NYC restaurants of its kind. The service was great, attentive and professional all the way along with an authentic Italian feel, but $ 38 for chicken parmesan with no side is very steep.

To be honest, the fettuccine Alfredo was both delicious and filling. But besides that, the introduction to the food there is worth the while as well. The waiters serve a couple of different appetizers free of charge(aged cheese, bruschetta, breads, fried zucchini, mussels, and small toasted bread with diced tomatoes) and give you a feel of true Italian food. Everything is a extremely pricey, but as the Russians say ” «.

Excellent Italian food. Before you even take a look at the menu you are full from all the food they bring out. Always a go to spot for me and my people when I’m in town. Food 5* Service 5*

Went there with my boyfriend .the appetizer was good .my BF ordered pasta and I ordered steak. he told me not to ordered bc it’s not a steakhouse .but I didn’t listen to .so the steak was horrible. we asked for a Meneger just to tell him about it .we didn’t money back, but they suppose to take off the check .the manager made a mean face didn’t say sorry or give us something else. So just really didn’t like how they treat their customers !!! Will never go back.

I’m excited to do this review, especially since this isn’t my first time here, it’s actually my 2nd. So let me see… where to begin? Well first off please make a reservation to a place like this! This is a classy place and you wouldn’t want to walk in without a reservation, at least from my experience. This is definitely a dressy place so don’t expect to walk in with swimming trunks and a t-shirt from the boardwalk, I know it’s Atlantic City, but come on! Be a little classier! Alrighty so after we got down to the basics(reservations & attire) let’s get down to the actual interaction with the restaurant! First thing’s first, they’ll sit you down at your table and immediately they’ll pour you your water and start serving you your«free» appetizers, which include an abundance of bread(some seasoned, some just normal), a small plate of zucchini with olive oil, a small plate of thinly sliced salami and a plate of aged parmesan cheese. These are all complimentary and in the meantime they will prepare your drinks(if you ordered any) and even come to your table asking if anyone would want bruschetta and mussels and yes it’s also complimentary. While you had time to nibble on your complimentary dishes they’ll hand you your menu and give you a lot of time to decide on your appetizers and your entrees. A lot of the entrees they like to bring out are not cooked yet and they’ll prepare it on the side of your table on a hot stove just so they can bring it to your completely fresh off the stove, which is a really nice touch to your meal. Also a little incident did happen while we were enjoying our complimentary dishes. One of the people in our group knocked over the empty wine glass and it shattered when it hit the plate. But the servers were very attentive with the mess. They took the large shards off our table and got us all completely new tablecloth, new silverware, new plates and new complimentary dishes just in case there were small shards on the plates. So I thought that was a nice touch of service for the night. The ONLY thing I would like to complain is that the servers took a REALLY long time in between our meals to check up on us, including handing us our menus. Yes it’s understood that this is no fast food restaurant or some low tier restaurant where food is readily done for you. But the time in between us finishing our meal and having it bagged and us waiting for the dessert menu was a little ridiculous. Also the hostesses aren’t as professional and friendly as the servers themselves. All the servers don a fancy tux while the hostesses wear a casual bright colored sweater top and a pencil skirt that doesn’t even match the rest of the restaurants atmosphere. They didn’t address us that formally and they were very snippy in my opinion. But that’s all I really have to complain about the place. The first time I went it was more professional, host wise. Before I end this review, I have to comment on their desserts. The desserts taste great, but they don’t look like desserts that came from a $$$$ type restaurant. You will see from my pictures later, but the plating is very simple and somewhat childish(it was cute, I’ll give them that) but not what I would’ve expected from a restaurant of that stature. So if you’re looking to take pictures of pretty desserts this isn’t the place, but if you’re looking for something simple this is fine. Overall you can’t go wrong with the dishes you choose. Everything was made fresh. Bread is always plentiful for those that like to finish off their meal with bread. From both times being there, the food is always well seasoned and made. I highly recommend the place if you’re looking for a high class restaurant for your date or even family gatherings.

I’ve eaten here numerous times and it is awesome. Every single menu item is very well prepared and delicious. The service can be a wee bit too much, but great nonetheless

Overpriced, and under seasoned. Overbearing, intrusive wait staff. I took about 3 bites of my entrée special, and when I told the waiter I was done, he asked me if I enjoyed my meal. I said no. And he didn’t even ask why. A colossal waste of money for overcooked fish over overcooked pasta — none of which had any taste. Save your money. Absolutely not worth it.

Was disappointed in the meal. The service and staff were great! But, the $ 24 Raviolli were lack luster and tasted bland. The portion size for $ 24 pasta was also disappointing. The linguini and clams was bland and they used spaghetti from a box. It also was served with 6 small clams and such a small portion of pasta for $ 24. My son ordered the $ 48 prime rib special and it was small and overcooked served poorly cooked sides. Loved the décor and staff… food was not worth the price or quality.

Service and Italian fare that would please the Godfather himself. Located in the Trump Taj Mahal, Il Mulino is posh restaurant that transports you from an AC casino to a Northern Italian villa. Il Mulino is elegantly and romantically decorated. Draped in hand crafted tapestries, the restaurant is feeds your eyes with a beauty unlike any other. The wait staff is attentive, kind and humble. This upscale restaurant treats their patrons with respect and care. The Il Mulino go above and beyond to make you feel as though you are the only person in the restaurant. Il Mulino’s food is a lover’s sonnet to northern Italian cuisine. For antipasti, we had the caprese; it was the freshest mozzarella that I have ever tasted. For insalate, we had the argula sald which was zesty. For main we had the pollo alla scarpariello and the Milanese risotti. Both dishes were prepared and plated flawlessly. The pollo and risotti tasted as though love itself were the secret ingredient. For dessert, Il Mulino offered a dessert sampler which consisted of cheesecake, tiramisu and cannolis. Each bite was better than the last. Il Mulino is expensive. However, the high price guarantees you a culinary delight that is unlike any other, wait service that is highly attentive and décor that transports you to Italy itself.

The décor of this restaurant is really nice, very romantic. Would definitely say it’s a good date spot. However, this was definitely one of the more confusing dinners I’ve had. They have a strict process here and I don’t think we knew how to handle it. When you sit down, they don’t bring you menus. Instead they bring you a complimentary nosh. I really didn’t like the fried zucchini because it was cold and soggy(not sure if this is what they always serve). Then they bring you different types of bread and a huge chunk of Parmesan as well as some bruschetta which were all tasty. They gave us a wine menu but no cocktail list and kept asking us what we wanted to drink, but when we said we wanted to base it off what we were going to eat I think they got confused. We still hadn’t received a food menu so how could we know if we were going to order steak or chicken resulting in red or white wine. We asked for the food menu several times and they said they had a process but if we wanted to do it how we wanted we could. I didn’t want to ruin the«process» so we just ordered some wine and then we finally got our food menus. Bizarre! We ended up ordering half orders of pasta dishes because we were so full off of the complimentary bites. We didn’t mind too much because it made for a cheap bill(hard to come by at this type of $$$$ restaurant). We also saw right by our table near the hostess stand were two hot plates. I think they were actually cooking the pasta there??? The pasta was excellent but the experience was strange.

This place has it all! Service is impeccable and the ambiance is old skool but still a beautiful romantic feel. They hook u up with cheese, sopressta, garlic bread and other free goodies. The foods delish and the desserts are great. I love there Italian cheese cake there and at the end they top u off with home made grappa.

For this restaurant, you are paying for Top class service. Unfortunately it may close with the Casino potentially closing, but this is a place to visit for sure. A wonderful and attentive staff who answered to each and every whim. Every individual works in a very free flowing environment in a symphony that ran seamlessly.

Kind of surprised to see the negative reviews. Went Super Bowl Sunday, reservation at 8:30pm(called the day in advance and asked for 8pm, and was told that they only had 7:30 and 8:30 available.), which was not needed, as there were only two to three other tables occupied. Greeted immediately, and also immediately served a plethora of complimentary(but obviously paying for it elsewhere) appetizers which were delicious. We came into this knowing nothing about the restaurant except the actual menu online. The fried zucchini was great, loved how thinly sliced these were and the mild kick that they gave. This was served with a huge hunk of Parmesan cheese. The bruschetta was great, and the mussel was alright. Also served some type of italian salume which was enjoyable. We were also given three types of breads: the garlic bread, which was great and had some sort of «garlic pillow» on top that made it great; a «foccacia”-type flatbread which was enjoyable, and some plain italian bread(did not try). I ordered the Ucceliti alla Fiorentina, which was in a great sauce, and a huge portion, and my girlfriend got the porcini risotti which was also great. Really had no problem with the service at all. Sure, it was expensive, but I purposely looked for a «nice» restaurant, and looked at the menu, and knew what i was getting into.

The space is located at the Taj Mahal restaurant so you should expect both Il Mulino and Trump prices. I was invited to a private group dinner at Il Mulino and there were some really good aspects and some really bad aspects. After horrible visits to their locations in NY and Florida(I will nevdr return) I was expecting the worse. For appetizers the restaurant prepared slices of beef plus tuna on toasts. Both of these were outstanding. I could have eaten both of these for dinner. This was a breath of fresh air from the other two Il Mulinos that I have previously visited. When we sat the servers were efficient and friendly simultaneously, which was also a breath of fresh air from the arrogance and pompousness from the sister locations. The traditional Il Mulino Parmesan cheese was already on the table, plus some sautéed zucchini slices and the server brought a bruschetta of toast, chopped tomato and a single mussel. These were a little spicy and I liked them all. I ordered the Caesar Salad plus the Veal Scaloppini with baby artichokes, mushrooms and asparagus. The Caesar salad was horrible, the dressing was very unappetizing, more a lemon glaze than a luscious combination of cheese, oil and lemon. After two bites, I pushed the plate aside, it was not worth the effort. But the veal was even worse. The baby artichokes were well into their adult years and the kitchen failed miserably is preparing them, there were several layers of the hard pieces still attached and I needed to excuse myself and go to the men’s room to spit them out. The veal itself was also ill-prepared, overcooked, with a gummy exterior from too much flour. A few bites and I decided the veal was not worth eating as well. The asparagus were good but the highlight was the mushrooms, these were delicious. Overall this dish should never have left the kitchen. For dessert the table was presented with a platter that included cheesecake and tiramisu. Both of these were delicious.
