The two stars are for the service. That was the only decent thing about this place. The worst meal I’ve ever had, and it was $ 35. Even the desserts were inedible. Do your self a favor, get yourself some pizza from the Baird walk and save $ 30.

The buffet was clean, service was attentive, but the food was not so good. Everything I ate was just Meh. I literally can not think of one dish I really liked. I guess the best thing was the Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt.

La Piazza is now Boardwalk Buffet Last month I went back, a month later. Its totally screw up. Last time I was there, they have some interior repair, but after those repair. All I see is nothing had change, instead they move desserts to hot food section and move prime rib steak and sausages to originally desserts section. Price had gone double. and food getting worse. Lobster was over cook it make it taste less and meat turn hard, sausage with potato soup is really really salty its like 50% salt and other 50% soup(whoever have high blood pressure will have blood pressure go straight up. I do wonder if Chef had taste it before its been serve. Reason I offer one star is they offer more steam vegetables. As for now, I am avoid this Boardwalk Buffet.

Wow. I’ve never seen any establishment screw up food as bad as this place. We had a party of 17 people. 512 bucks. I think the only okay thing was the mashed potatoes. Long lines, dirty buffets, huge crowds, tasteless food, overcooked food, and nasty floors. The lobster we were all excited for was overboiled, dry, and chewy as hell. You do get half of a chewy ass lobster though, I’m still not sure if that’s a good thing. I think we paid 33 bucks per adult and 17 for each child. Even though I didn’t spend a dime, I still left pretty pissed off. I missed the Fourth of July fireworks show for this crappy buffet because we had to wait an additional 30 minutes after we paid for the buffet. Not worth it at all. It’ll probably be cheaper and better eating somewhere else. It’s sad seeing all the wasted food and the best thing you’ll probably get at this place is soda and juice. Oh well, back to the suite in Caesars I go.

You’ll have to add me to the underwhelmed. Food was fairly tasteless, and rarely at the temperature that was appropriate for the dish. Specifically poor was their take on General Tao’s chicken. Frankly an embarrassment. There desert area was the better of the sections, and that failed to impress. Atlantic City unfortunately continues to decline most likely as a function of the economny and disposable dollars being a thing of the past. Their effort at this buffet surely won’t help revive Ceasars.

In terms of space, Caesar’s La Piazza Buffet is smaller than Tropicana’s La Fiesta Buffet. Even after I paid, I was still waiting in line just to get a table for two. Finally, when the crowds started to leave, a manager signaled us over and I was able to secure a small table for two with fancy chairs and a marble table. I thought having fancy chairs and tables were a special touch, but it wasn’t practical because the waiter did not come often enough to clear the plates and I find myself trying to figure out where to put my plates. Though I sat close to the buffet line, I did not even eat an hour when the buffet was closing. Unlike at the Minado buffet restaurant, nobody came by to tell me that the buffet was closing. I was ready for dessert and I was standing in front of the dessert section when the employee behind the counter just took them away right in front of me before I could think to get anything. I thought I didn’t get my money’s worth because I didn’t get any dessert. At least, they should have a frozen yogurt machine I can play with when the desserts are all taken away. I really did want ice cream and this buffet didn’t have any. This makes me appreciate Tropicana Hotel’s La Fiesta Buffet even more, which offers great frozen yogurt ice cream and soup. While we ate, we spent time looking at how other customers were treated and it seemed that the waiter was more friendlier and more efficient with other guests. Maybe it was a bad night or something for us, but anyway, I would still rather go to Tropicana’s La Fiesta Buffet for their good soup and desserts. PROS: fancy tables and chairs CONS: servers do not tell customers when the buffet is about to close, no ice cream/frozen yogurt for dessert, table is small for two people and plates are not cleared fast enough

Considering it’s Caesar, I had higher expectations but this buffet was mediocre/poor. For the price of $ 22 for lunch, it was definitely not worth it. I think this price is cheaper than Caesar buffet at Vegas though, but the Caesar buffet at Vegas is SOMUCHBETTER so the cheaper price does NOT compensate. Points off because: — the silverware was dirty. The spoon had coffee stains! — The waitress asked us for our drink orders and brought us the wrong ones. She was a nice lady though… — the food selection was so poor! the seafood section was about the only good thing(loved the mussels) but everything else was subpar. They had a few pasta dishes, some sausages, a big salad bar, small(I suppose you can say modest if you want to be nice) dessert selection… hmm. lots of chicken plates– fried chicken, kung pao chicken(but you can get this anywhere). The taste itself was alright but nothing that blows your mind. Honestly, though, I haven’t tried any other buffets in AC so I’m comparing it to buffets in Vegas which may not be a fair comparison, so that this review with a grain of salt.

Worst buffet I have ever been to! And $ 80+ for two people I was expecting so much more. The glass of wine and lobster per person(included) is a joke. They can keep their crappy«complimentary» garbage and work on giving a good selection of quality food. I heard from 3 different people that the steak smelled funny, including my boyfriend. If you like crab legs and dried out shrimp, they have plenty of both– otherwise I’m sure there is a slot machine you can dump $ 80 in quicker and feel better about getting nothing for your money. *the three men playing live music– they are the only reason this place got a star!

WORSTBUFFETEVER. We didn’t want to go here but for some reason all the other buffets were closed until after xmas. This buffet is overpriced! I was shocked by the $ 41 price and even more in disbelief when I actually walked in and saw the buffet. I’ve been to better Chinese buffets for only &7.95! The selection was DISMAL. Some salad, some mac and cheese, 2 craptastic chinese entrees, & a crappy carving station. The only«attraction» is the all you can eat lobster & crab legs but that’s only if you’re interested in overcooked seafood that’s just been sitting in hot water waiting to be eaten. The lobsters are also TINY. The only reason I wasn’t so furious that we spent so much money at the crappiest buffet ever was that we won back the money at the casinos.

Discounting all the negative reviews I see here I have to say my meal at La Piazza was not bad at all. It’s not the best buffet I have ever been to, but it’s surely not the worst. As Ceasars tries to instill an upscale image to it’s patrons it’s also reflected in the pricing. I thought it was well overpriced at $ 37.99 for what that actually offer, as the food selesctions were limited overall. Good thing we used some freebie coupons we received in the mail as I would not have paid for this. The seating area itself is ok, but not the largest I have seen at a buffet. It just looks dated to me. There were unlimited jumbo crab legs and shrimp which was a plus. Some other seafood choices too. The carving station had at least five different meats to choose from. The Italian food station was forgettable. The fresh veggies were good, along with the fried chicken which was thick and juicy. The dessert bar was just ok, but lacked much of a choice other than some cakes, cobblers, cupcakes, and candies. A nice selection of fresh fruit was also available. Overall, I was easily able to put together 3 – 4 plates of decent food. They even had some live music being played by three men in suits on piano and stringed instruments. I guess maybe this is their way of justifying the higher cost for this so-so buffet.

What a fail of a buffet. Maybe I was spoiled by what I have experienced in Las Vegas, but honestly, I think Golden Corral buffets would probably provide higher quality food than this. Our server was sweet but that could not make up for paying $ 20 for a worthless lunch.

I loved the all-you-can-eat buffet here. They had unlimited amounts of SHRIMP and CRABLEGS. Anything that serves that is a slam dunk for me. I will admit that I barely looked at whatever else they had there. Also, at one point they ran out of crab legs and didn’t refill them in a timely manner. It took like 8 minutes and we were hovering around the serving sections like hungry beasts. Other than that the crab legs and shrimp were delicious. Dock one star for the crab legs not being refilled quickly enough and because I didn’t like having to wait in line to get into the restaurant. Still, if you like simple seafood you will love this place. That’s all.

I came here for lunch on the buy-1 get-1 free coupon and I’m SO glad that I didn’t pay $ 17.95EACH to eat here. The selection here stinks! I had trouble finding what I wanted to eat as the only thing worthwhile to eat during lunch time is shrimp cocktail. Other than that, I had trouble finding what was good. The fried shrimp was okay but everything else was really mushy, probably to cater to all the octogenarians(with or without teeth) at Atlantic City. And the desserts? The worst selection of desserts I’ve EVER seen at a buffet. What’s with all the cupcakes?! They have all these small and medium sized cupcakes with different frosting on top. Is that what they call variety? It’s either that or some nasty pie. The only dessert that I had was the soft serve, which was okay, but looking at everything else made my stomach turn. I know it’s unfair to compare AC to LV but why does AC buffets suck so much? They’re overpriced, the quality is poor, and the worst part is you have to pay $ 5 to SELFPARK your car — which adds insult to injury.

There seems to be many negative reviews on this place. However, my experience at La Piazza was an enjoyable one. Everything tasted delicious. My roast beef, italian sausages, and corn were all cooked to perfection. Loved the Chinese food. Pasta section was average. However, my complaint is that the selection is very limited. Not sure if it’s because I came here for lunch, but I was done looking around within minutes. Also, the ice cream was the ones you’d see at a low end buffet such as Country Town Buffet. the Vanilla, chocolate, and the mixture ones. What hotel buffets only offer soft serve these days? GIve me my gelato please. Other than that, my waitress was very attentive and I fairly enjoyed my dining experience here.

I only went to La Piazza because Café Roma decided not to seat me. I usually don’t eat buffets, but there aren’t many options at Caesars during the day. I stayed at Caesars because I was RFB and would receive the meal complimentary. If I had to pay I would have gone elsewhere. Having said all of this, the service at La Piazza was good. I was seated quickly and served a drink just as fast. My trip to La Piazza buffet was horrible. After I sat and grabbed an iced tea everything was downhill. Nothing was good. The best of the foods was average at best, and that’s a stretch. The best was one of the unlabeled items from the carving station. I think it was turkey, but it might have been roast beef. The taste was non-descript and the temperature was barely warm. Nothing was good, from the meatballs to sausages to everything else I sampled. Maybe it was the early afternoon time I ate, but nothing was good and I’ll stay away in the future. I’d rather pay for a burger somewhere else, than use a comp on this crap-hole.

The Buffet here is not bad. The steak was a little tough but the prime rib was good. The crab legs were a bit too watery and the shrimp was overcooked, though. Chinese food was too oily. And the dessert selection was, at best, meager. The chocolate syrup tasted like caramel? Too odd. Mac and cheese was probably the best part of it. Cake apparently was okay. Much better to go to a real restaurant and get your own money’s worth for $ 28.88 a person. Lines for Diamond and Gold members. Alcoholic drinks are extra. At least they always have space for larger groups.

I didn’t get food poisoning and I left full but nothing was all that great. The did have all you could eat peel your own shrimp and crab legs if that’s your thing. The deserts were the only thing i kind of enjoyed. Not worth the 27.99

For the money this place is an utter waste of time, money, and most importantly belly space. For those of us who’ve been to AC several times, we know that the quality or even quantity of casino buffets rarely justifies the cost. I didn’t want to go here but the rest of my party did. Seriously for almost $ 30/person for a weekend lunch buffet, I’m not kidding when I say the thing I enjoyed most was the mashed potatoes, coke, and ice cream!!! The ice cream machine didn’t seem to work very well. It looked like a typical soft serve ice cream machine. Pull down on the lever and the ice cream comes out right? Well not this one. As you moved the lever down a little bit of ice cream would come out too, but as soon as the lever hit the bottom position, the ice cream stopped coming out. Here comes the funny part. Confused as to why nothing is coming out, I lifted up the handle to the«off» position, but as I lifted it up, the ice cream WENTBACKUPINTOTHEMACHINE!!! I’m like WTF??? **looking around to see any candid cameras around** I try a few repetitions of moving the lever up and down, up and down, and the ice cream does the same thing, in and out, in and out. It looked absolutely disgusting in the most intriguing sort of way. Me and my friend started laughing at this very unusual pump action ice cream dispenser. We must have confused the machine because after we moved the lever to the off position the ice cream still kept coming out. Apparently there is a little bit of lag in the system… and you are supposed to hold the lever down and wait several seconds. Same for stopping the flow of ice cream. The ice cream was so thick it wouldn’t pull apart. I just kept telling my friend pinch it off… pinch it off man. Pinch it. There was just something so unintentionally inappropriate about the whole incident but to their credit the ice cream actually did taste good… not $ 30 good but good. My experience here was a blast, but it was because of the friends I was with and not because of the food. Bottomline…avoid eating here unless you want to create memories with the ice cream machine.

I’d rather eat at Old Country Buffet. I have never been so disappointed in an AYCE buffet until I came to La Piazza. After all, how can you go wrong with all you can eat meal? At some point, the quantity of food consumed negates the necessity for the quality of food consumed. Of course, this is Atlantic City and I probably should have known that nothing is ever done properly. Come to think, I can recall no worthwhile buffets in the entire city. Here’s my problem with La Piazza. The food is terrible … and terribly expensive. I wouldn’t go as far to say that its inedible but it was most certainly prepared poorly. At some point, I understand the dry chicken, the tough-to-chew stir fry pork, the cold meatloaf, and the over-whipped mouse(you’re really eating air at that point). They even messed up the soft serve ice cream with its pump action lever. I don’t have high expectations when I’m paying $ 8.99 because $ 8.99 won’t pay for a Michelin-starred kitchen. But La Piazza isn’t a cheap buffet, it’s $ 25 to $ 30-per-person buffet. For that amount of money, you’ve got to measure up to AYCE steak buffets like Fogo de Chao(lunch menu). The only dishes that I enjoyed were the cold chicken strips for Caesar Salad and Italian Sausage & Peppers. Again, I reiterate that I’d rather eat at Old Country Buffet or even Golden Corral for that matter. The food is pretty much the same but at least its not costing me an arm and a leg. If I were you, I’d eat elsewhere and gamble away the savings. [Last Visit: January 16, 2010]
