Right after we checked in at the Taj for a 3 night stay we discovered that the buffet is permenantly CLOSED ! This really annoyed me because they still advertise it on their website & on the hotel info channel. We planned on eating breakfast & dinner there everyday but instead we had to walk to another hotel that had a buffet.

I stopped by here as part of a dinner for the first night of my bachelor party. Meh, it was ok although to be honest the whole place felt a little dirty. I think that my favorite part of the buffet was the pizza which at a casino buffet should tell you something. The main attraction of the buffet the night that we went were the crab legs but those felt a little dirty and old to me as well. The bottom line for me is that I would probably not head back here again in the future. I was very underwhelmed here especially for the price.

Wow, what a fatal mistake coming here for dinner. If this is what a Sultan eats, the peasants must be starving. Poor selection and overpriced, like WAY overpriced! Crab legs must be all the rejects from the seafood distributor, mushy and salty. You need a damn chainsaw to cut through the steak, unless you want to separate your shoulder by using a knife to slice through it. Not even sure if it’s beef to be honest. It was so tough that if you have dentures it’ll pull em out of your mouth regardless how much denture adhesive you got up in there. But you’ll be able to gum your dessert. The soup smelled like week old gym socks and tasted even worse. I was trying to get my $$$ worth but it didn’t happen. Just poor quality all around. Don’t go here even if it’s comp’d. I’ve had better food at truck stop cafeterias. If Trump himself ate here he’d be pissed off too. OBTW, the buffet at his casino in Vegas blows too! I guess no one from management here monitors Unilocal reviews, because nearly everyone says the same thing, yet nothing changes.

Went as part of a day trip here for work. I’d say its a notch above the run of the mill buffet and the salad bar was pretty nice. The best part to me was the steak which they cook there in front of you, how you want it with various seasonings. The wait staff are very friendly and will bring you whatever you need — utensils, condiments, beverages. The main thing holding this place back is the high price, almost $ 30 per person, that’s way high. You may be able to get some vouchers to cut down the price but that full price alone will drive you to try other food spots even if their menu has less options. Unless you’re starving or are actually Donald Trump, I’d eat at the other food areas here.

No real Indian food here! Just a typical Atlantic City hotel American buffet. Staff/waitresses were really nice though.

The crab legs and steak were ok. However, the grill man hit on my girlfriend in front of me… That was weird… Everything else was below average. The pizza was a complete abortion. I swear it made square school lunch pizza seem like gourmet fare by comparison. Seriously, I don’t know how you could make a worse slice… Possibly a slice made with white bread, ketchup, and plastic wrapped off brand american singles cheese product might be worse… But that still might be a close call… The salad bar was standard. It boggles my mind how the Donald could let a place with this kind of food bear his name… Don’t pay full price… Hell don’t go unless it is free…

The buffet just like Trump is absolutely horrible. I despise Trump but the wifey saw that they had crab legs and was craving some, so I was like fine… Big mistake, this is the worst buffet I’ve ever been to. Tried several items and they were either cold or bland. Even the crab legs was crap. Service was non-attentive. Choosing to eat here is exactly why I don’t listen to the wife. This buffet, Taj Mahal, and Trump blows.

It was my first time eating at a buffet in Atlantic City. I’m so used to the Las Vegas buffets, where you get tons and tons of everything. We mostly wanted to make sure they had seafood; and they had crab legs and peel your own shrimp. The food is just ok; I’ve definitely had better. I’d like to say that for $ 27/person for lunch I was expecting more and better. They have a nice deserts bar, but some of that stuff didn’t taste very good either. But again, this isn’t Vegas, so I guess I should keep my expectations accordingly…
