This place is such a complete mess. Their drinks are way over priced for what they serve you and the overall service is not pleasant at all. I went with a group of friends(7 people to be exact) over this past weekend to see Dj Fedde Le Grand. We spent $ 50 on tickets to see a dj that never showed up. The dj that was playing before Fedde kept saying that he would be out on stage in 30 minutes and each time he would say that, nothing would happen. Needless to say I will never go back there again and I would not recommend it to anybody. I just wish I could get my money refunded and all of my friends’ for such a poor experience.

Very, very disappointed in the quality of this club. I will start with the few positives. The lighting was nice, the sound system was respectable, and 2 out of the 4 dancers put in a decent effort and didn’t look like they hated their jobs. Aside from that, it’s a piss poor club that’s a complete and utter rip off and waste of time. If you’re not getting bottle service at a table, prepare to feel like a smushed in sardine. The dance floor is literally the size of a hallway, because either side is so heavily roped off for tables. The rest of the club is not just jam packed, but sticky to the touch(even at the beginning of the night) and vaguely smells like vomit over the fist-bumping crowd’s BO. If you do purchase a table, be sure it’s not the ones far behind the bar. You won’t be able to see the stage whatsoever, and the music is reduced to muffled bass bumps. With hardly any room to move, you’ll be snaking through beefed up bros spilling $ 12 well drinks on you as they grab your ass and their girlfriend jabs her pin point stilettos into you with a «bitch you stole my man» glare. Word to the wise: don’t awake the beast within. I know in AC, NYC, or really any club in a major metropolitan area, you can expect to pay a good amount. But I certainly wasn’t expecting to buy a $ 50 ticket online, only to find that it was $ 30 at the door?! That is completely shocking and either a vapid oversight or total extortion. Likewise, water should always be available for free at clubs and events. It is literally illegal to not have free water on premises. So to say the least, I was quite disheartened to find that water was $ 6 for a half-sized bottle of water that was apparently distilled from the heavens. TL;DR — Fuck off, Mixx

Great nightclub. Certainly reminds you of a Vegas club, but instead it’s on the East Coast. If you are into EDM, this is one of the better spots in the mid-Atlantic. Not too crowded, and a good layout. Decent sound system, good bottle service area. Everyone was dancing and having a great time. The drinks however are WAY overpriced, even for Atlantic City. I would go back depending on the DJ, but it’s certainly worth staying in the Borgotta again.

First time here… My girlfriend & I was already bored :/not even an hour into this place. So we left and ventured somewhere else. Paid 35 $ cover charged just to leave. Maybe next time, maybe not.

Came here for my brothers bachelor party and had a blast. If you come with a group larger than 4 – 5 you should get the bottle service. Would have probably gotten five stars but we had to wait 40 min on the vip line to get in. I have never seen that anywhere. Once inside we had a blast but definitely do the bottle service.

Went for a birthday celebration for the Jermaine Dupree DJ event. Mixed reviews made us skeptical but we are the type to have a good time anywhere. Having been our first time, we asked our security about the layout as we went straight to VIP. Turns out all but the dance floor and surrounding areas aren’t VIP so no chance to sit at all if you pay the $ 30 to get in. The DJ before the main event was good so no complaints there. Our VIP was on the dance floor level so I can’t comment on the upstairs part. We had enough room for the four of us plus room to get loose dancing and not being bothered if we didn’t want to go to the dance floor. The waitresses were friendly and upbeat. Brought a cupcake and fireworks for my friends birthday which was nice. I would go back and my friends agreed we had a great time!

If you are in AC and you want to have a good time, you have to come to MIXX!!! I have been here a few times and have not once been disappointed. I have only been on Sunday nights, and most recently went last month. I typically go around 12 ish and I have never had to wait on a long line. I also get free entrance being a Borgata card member. I suggest you get a card, because it is free and there really is no reason to pay to get inside MIXX if you don’t have too. The bar area is on the right side and is pretty big. The bartenders are friendly and make good drinks. Prices are typical for AC. After I have a couple of drinks and a shot, I head straight to the dance floor. People typically dance all over, but the actually dance floor area is big and in the middle. They normally have different celebrity DJs and play a variety of different hits. This is definitely the right place to have a good time.

Was here last weekend for my friends bachelorette party! She got free entry but we all had to pay $ 35 to enter. Bottle service started at 310 per bottle and we had to take 2 coz we were 9 girls. Might have turned out the same price wise but the VIP areas were really shady(only boys groups) and excluded. So our option for entry was much more fun. We had a very good time! Drinks are not too pricey but at the same time not too strong. I would def recommend this place for a bach party!

I never have a bad time clubbin in AC. I think it’s because I don’t have such high expectations of nightlife in NJ(I mean it’s NJ). Having been to clubs all over the world I’ve had some pretty awesome experiences mixx wasn’t horrible but I’m a girl, I always ask to get in free and my friends and I know how to dress for success. I would never spend crazy money to club in AC unless a very legitimate DJ was coming and there were capacity limits . We waited for a bit but got in for free and danced the night away to rev run and ruckus. I personally prefer murmur but it wasn’t my celebration and it also wasn’t Monday . 3 stars because the bathroom was bad(like unacceptable bad)

Craziness! I came here to see Steve Aoki and they packed this place up to the point where it wasn’t even safe. The lines are always super long, even with advanced tickets. I wish that Borgata guests would have some sort of VIP treatment but they don’t. However, the bottle service rooms are amazing. They’re far from the stage, on the second level of the club along with a bunch of other VIP rooms but they’re nice and private and the music plays loudly. There’s also a balcony to peek down from. It’s a fun place but head to mur. mur for a more mature crowd.

Mixx is a hot AC nightclub and good place for a bachelorette party. My friend’s bachelorette party brought my group of 9 there last Saturday night. We were on the VIP guest list so got to go to a special line since we got there around 11pm. It’s up to the discretion of the club door manager, but he let our group in without paying the cover charge. I was expecting to pay through the nose for drinks, but it turned out a vodka club was only $ 10. That’s not a great price for a vodka club but I also thought it would be closer to $ 20. The DJ played a great mix of top 40 and other popular club music. I don’t frequent the club scene too often so I’m not sure if there’s a certain name for that type of music, but I know it wasn’t EDM. I feel like Mixx has more space than MurMur, however I recall the Mixx dance floor being larger. There were tables surrounding the dance floor and it didn’t leave a ton of room for people who wanted to dance. For most of the night we ended up dancing in the space around the bar. Speaking of the space around the bar, this past Saturday night it smelled weird. It definitely wasn’t BO and unfortunately seemed ingrained in the bar area. Being at a bachelorette party, my group got a lot of attention from the gentleman at the club. We met two guys who offered to bring us upstairs to their VIP table. Even though the guys we met said it was okay and escorted us to the area, for whatever reason security were not cool with that. Maybe there wasn’t enough space upstairs, but it seems like a poor business decision. An extra 9 people could have easily meant an extra bottle or two. In any case, we had a blast and it looked like the rest of the club did as well. The clientele seemed to dress and act the part of an upscale nightclub. As I mentioned, I don’t hit the clubs often but I would certainly recommend Mixx for a bachelorette party and would be happy to return for a special night out.

Visited Mixx(inside the Borgata) for the first time last weekend for a friends birthday party. My friend reserved a table and purchased three bottles so that our group of 8 could truly enjoy our AC experience. Let me detail what went down upon our arrival… One would assume, that after spending over $ 1300 on bottle service, our group would have been treated well and had no problem gaining entry into the venue. Unfortunately, things did not happen that way. The one black male in our party was told that his white dress shoes RESEMBLED sneakers and he would not be able to enter. To avoid killing our friend’s birthday vibe, we told her to get her table and let both myself and the male in our party purchase shoes in the Borgata(our hotel was not close enough to travel back to change). I thought to myself that maybe white dress shoes just weren’t acceptable. Maybe they did resemble sneakers? Upon purchasing black dress shoes, placing the rejected shoes with the coat check and entering the club, the young woman at the apologized and we entered the club. Right next to our table, was a group of young white men. THREE out of the FOUR white males standing next to our group were wearing SNEAKERS. Not shoes that resembled sneakers. Nikes. One pair had graffiti graphics! Needless to say, this group wasn’t the only group of white males dressed in much more casual clothing than our friend. This experience left each of the members of our 8 person group in disgust. We’d spent a lot of money to enjoy the«VIP» experience, only to be discriminated against. Although my friends and I made the best of our time at the club, there is no way I would ever visit Mixx again. I will definitely make sure to spread the message to any others who need to know where to AVOID when clubbing in AC.

Location: Inside the Borgata. Located by the Bread and Butter restaurant. Service: My girlfriend and I purchased tickets online and had to pick them up at the box office. The tickets said that we would have until 21:30(9:30PM) to pick up our tickets or else we wouldn’t get in. We ended up coming at 22:55(10:55PM) and had no problems whatsoever. Additionally, the ticket receptionist told us we still had five minutes to enter through the express line. Inside: The inside of Mixx was actually pretty nice. Being from the OC/Las Vegas area, I didn’t know what to expect at first. Atlantic City, so far, seemed to be a PG version of Vegas. There was a dance floor immediate where you enter, two bars — one to the left and one to the right, and an area upstairs. The bottle service tables are a bit small and circle the club. There are also a couple at the dance floor. The music is different from what I’m accustomed to, but it got the people moving. The only problems are with the dance floor and the sound system. The dance floor did not accommodate the number of people in the club, and it got packed ridiculously fast. No one people here only fist bump. There’s no way you can dance on that thing. The sound system needs some retuning. That thing is overtly sharp and pierces the eardrums. Overall, I had a good time. I ended up people watching most of the night.

I was not impressed with this place at all. Go to Mur Mur Mondays if you wanna have a good time. All the drinks are extremeyl expensive, not even that good, and there was NOGIRLS!!! it was a straight dude fest when i was there on a Sunday night. i had no fun. They had someone from MMG performing but he wasent that good at all, the music was mediocre and honestly i wouldnt go back at all. Espeicially for the $ 25 entrance fee too.

Mixx is one of two clubs located inside Borgata. It’s on the small side but I guess one should never expect Vegas-sized clubs in this city. My partner in crime for the evening and I walked over to Mixx after seeing the ridiculous line for MurMur. To be honest, the line for Mixx wasn’t that much better but we decided to go with Mixx since we were feeling lazy and didn’t want to walk back over. Note to men: heels make girls lazier. Plan accordingly. Being the ballsy and slightly cocky type once I’ve had a drink in me, I instantly went to the front of the line and asked the bouncer if there was any way he could please let us in. Like now. Right now. He said sure and opened up the velvet rope for us to cut the line. Then a minute or so later we arrived at the very front of the line and I heard words that were unfamiliar to my ears: «It will be $ 20 each ladies.» Wait, HOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLD up. I don’t pay cover. I’m what you want to get INSIDE the club people. Men pay to go in and see this *points to self* and I mean that in a totally, non-stripper kind of way. Hell no. I said no thanks and immediately went back to my bouncer and asked him with a very coy smile why two cute girls were being charged to get into a club. He acted surprised and instantly took out a comp card that would give us free admission. Thank you, good sir– that’s all I wanted. So lesson ladies, you CAN get in for free. Just be persistent, not a total butter face, have a personality and treat the bouncers with respect. Oh and do not come with a group of guys. Voila, no cover. Once inside the club around midnight it was a little empty but as the night wore on it got ridiculously packed. The ground was covered in liquid(I pray it was alcohol since I was wearing open toed shoes) and I kept getting knocked around by the aggressive dry humping happening all around me. The DJ did a pretty good job of keeping the music fresh and my crazy coworkers and I danced till 4 in the morning. At one point the club even did an actual recording of the Harlem Shake. Wow… Overall, fun times. My review is more of a 3.5 since I ultimately compare all my club experiences to the crème de la crème in Vegas but I’ll be nice today and round up since I’m stuck in Jury Duty.

I love Mixx at the Borgata. It is a great club. But I especially love it when a great DJ is playing. Mixx is the place that I first saw Alesso live. And he had me at hello. I can’t wait for his return… But Mixx is always a good time.

So how do you know you are in VIP? You are with 4 other guys trying to get laid. If you are another douchebag trying to get laid do yourself and everyone a favour and stay away from this place so that normal people can enjoy the dance floor. Wait, what is there is 1 girl with a group of 8 guys? Or what if I hold a bottle in the VIP table that I just got for us and yell and jump obnoxiously? Yes, you are the shit! If you think it makes you look less desperate you are wrong. The ratio of guys to girls is one of the most disturbing I’ve seen in my life. Not that I cared much; but when I went to the bathroom or a bar, about 6 people hit on my gf within seconds. She is a hot girl but still… Desperation index: 11 on a 10 point scale. There is a stereotype that this place plays electronic music. Well yes, only if you consider Will I Am and Chris Brown electronic music. But it’s really just your crappy Top 40 and typical Poppy Hip Hop from a resident DJ who switches songs every 90 seconds(I absolutely cannot stand when DJs do that). FYI Techno starts about 2:30AM. Pros: –Good vibe, nice layout if you want to stay at the bar in the back –Nice décor –Amazing lights –Go-go dancers –Bouncers in VIP work like a clock and don’t let outsiders in so if you want your space — get the VIP table. Cons: –The sound is ridiculously loud for the size of the place –The dance floor is tiny; there is no room at all –Fat go-go dancers that are rocking it like they own the night!

My friends and I had an absolute blast here. If you’re in Atlantic City and craving a Vegas like experience… this is as close as you’re going to get. There are trapeze performers, hot men and women go-go dancers, fog machines, confetti falling from the ceiling, and one hell of a good DJ. Mixx is inside one of the nicest casinos in Atlantic City… Borgata. Unlike Vegas, it charges pretty ladies cover. 25 dollars per EVERY person to get in. They don’t care who you are, who you know, or if you are as ridiculously good looking at Derek Zoolander. You are paying 25 dollars. My friends and I had never paid that much to get in anywhere. I explained to the doorman that this better be the most mind blowing experience of my life or I wanted my 25 dollars back to waste on the craps table. However, it was pretty mind blowing. The dance floor was amazing. You can totally get lost in the music and with all the craziness. I don’t know how much drinks cost, but they were very strong. My rum and coke was ideal. The crowd is much more upscale than the rest of Atlantic City. Meaning I wasn’t trying to run away from all the weirdos while I was there(it’s not the Tropicana). I honestly did not think I was in Atlantic City during my time at Mixx, it was just too fab. So, if you’re in AC… wait on line and pay 25 dollars… and get ready to dance in confetti, fist pump, and raise your glass to good times!

I came to Mixx on a Saturday night and the $ 15 cover although a tad steep didn’t seem too bad for what was there. They played good music and had a nice«mix» of different types(see what I did there?). The girls working there were cute. The drinks were strong and expensive. Whatever, you pay a premium to be in a premium spot. Coolest part was definitely the girl on the trapeze who would lift up from the center of the dance floor and do her thing. I must have taken 30 pictures and videos of this. Had a great time. Stay positive about you night and you will have a fun time here(although that could be a lot to ask when in NJ, and more specifically in a casino and down a couple of hundred dollars.) Minus one star for the fact that my ears didn’t stop ringing until the next day.

Mixx’s ambiance makes for a decent party, but it’s small. It has two floors, but much of the second is reserved VIP seating. You’ll get hot, so check your coats at the front lobby — or leave them in your car or hotel room. When we walked in around midnight[1], the party was in full swing. Above the dance floor, an elaborate hydraulic lighting system with an impressive rack of lights moved above the dancers, providing plenty of visual pyrotechnics. DJs kept everyone entertained, and didn’t spin 80’s hits all night long. Bartenderesses wore tastefully vampy outfits, and all were quite friendly. Be aggressive when ordering, or you’ll have to wait awhile to get served. Drinks are expensive — should be no surprise — so pregaming is advisable. No time to pregame? Try their lychee drink. Worth a visit, especially if you can avoid cover. Thanks to the Borgata for providing comp passes. [1] Not all of us, not right away. Security thought my friend was drunk(she wasn’t), so they had her cycle through the line several times before letting her in. Demerit for Mixx.
