It was the only place open very late in the night. We were seated fairly quickly. The hostess and server was very nice. I ordered mussels and crab cakes. Mussels was fresh, the crab cake delicious, but nothing out of this world. The price is definitely on the higher side, but to be honest, we did not expect any other since its a nice place, and hey. its Atlantic City. This restaurant will be definitely on the list of places that will be an option to go for dinner when we come back again to Atlantic City.

Awful. Absolutely awful. I’m not sure if the management changed or what happened, but the food quality appears to have gone majorly downhill since most of the photos were posted on this site. I stopped in for an afternoon snack during my recent visit to the Water Club at Borgata, and I found the food to be on the verge of inedibility. The chicken tenders were bland, presumably frozen chicken tenders lacking crispiness, crunchiness, or any of the other characteristics that usually make the fried treat appetizing. They were served at too hot of a temperature, causing me to burn the roof of my mouth when I took the first bite. The honey mustard sauce appears to have recently changed, as it was a muted brown color that was as off-putting as its sour taste. And the french fries were frozen crinkle-cut Ore Ida french fries you’d find at the grocery store except not cooked through fully. This, however, did not prevent the signature Borgata mark-up: $ 5 for a side of frozen fries. I won’t be back.

The breakfast is great here. Food is nice and fresh and the staff is great. Our waiter got side tracked because of a big party that came in so it took a bit for us to get our check, other than that it was great.

When in rome right? You’re at the borgata… which is(atm) the nicest AC spot. Why not go all out. Seafood tower is where it’s at!

What happened to this tried and true restaurant I used to love so much? I’m guessing that this was just an off night or our misfortune. For years I’ve come to the Metropolotan late night or before going gambling for an enjoyable meal. I really hope that our last experience was completely out of the norm, because they have done so much better over the many years I’ve been coming to the borgata. During our last visit, our food came very late, and cold to boot. We are very forgiving but it was literally cold. We saw the waitress and let her know that we would neither be eating our food nor staying to let them try again. It’s a shame as it has some great seating areas either outside in a «patio» area or traditional booths and countertops or tables inside. I hope that they bring it around again.

Yes this is an all purpose place for sure. Bigger than I thought too. Hostess didnt seem extra pleasant or extra rude. Just there. Food is slightly overpriced and without flavor. We had the turkey burger no bacon, salmon blt no b, asian wings & apple crisp. Fries came out luke warm. Had to add salt n pepper to EVERYTHING! Server was too busy. There should have been more help. Bottom line is, if i didnt have $ 68 food credit, I would have never gone in there. Id rather go to NOW for veggie rice and spring rolls or order delivery from outside. Would give it 2.5 stars if I could.

Food here was great. The cheese board was my absolute favorite. I also got to try the clam chowder which was really good and the garlic chicken pasta. The sauce they used was amaaaaazing and I tried to get every piece of garlic with a s poon! If you’re at the borgata stop by for a quick bite and some good easy food.

Wow. I had been here before(maybe a year or two ago) and remembered this place being pretty okay, but holy god was the service terrible this past Sunday for brunch. Like probably top 2 worst dining experiences ever. We were seated fairly quickly given the wait… and it was all downhill from there. It about 11AM, and a friend wanted to order the mussels, but that was only offered for lunch, at 11:30AM. That’s fine, I can understand that, though my friend tried to take to the waitress and the chef, but they didn’t budge — also fine, I get that. We order some coffee and waters… waters never came. We were then ignored by our waitress until 1130… at which point my friend ordered his mussels and the remaining three of us ordered our meals — 2 friends order the breakfast burger and breakfast burrito. I order the Florentine omelet with chicken. We then asked for water again… and our waitress finally acquiesced. The mussels came out in 10 minutes. The breakfast burger, omelet, and breakfast burrito came out… an hour later. We tried to flag down our waitress… but she was either sprinting right past us or just no where to be found. And, much to my luck, there’s no chicken in my omelet, tasted pretty bland, and the greens were ‘dressed’ with oil… nothing else. At that point, my stomach was eating itself, so I just ate it begrudgingly because I just wanted to leave and go home. To their credit, given that I relayed this tragedy of horrors that unfolded to the manager, they did comp my meal… but no one else’s? Clearly they though the my missing chicken was the worst part of the whole experience… but the whole experience was awful, so what gives? Worst brunch decision ever. The Borgata has some fantastic eateries and restaurants… but this is NOT one of them.

Pros: they are open late. Casual dress. Cons: slow customer service. Food is tasteless. They act mad if you charge to your room. Drinks were weak. Across from a very loud bar– you can hear the overbearing music, but can’t see it. Waiter was unfriendly. Overall, okay since it’s the only late option at The Borgata. Just don’t expect to really enjoy it.

I found this place to be mediocre. The service was extremely slow and the waitstaff wasn’t very accommodating. I would consider this to be an upscale diner. The food was decent at best. It is conveniently located inside the Borgota. While walking out a line had begin to form to get in, thankfully I missed the dinner rush!

This is the Borgata’s all purpose restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and there is even an oyster bar. It’s a solid go to if none of the other options seem appealing. I usually come here with a group of friends on Sunday mornings. We skip the buffet next door because they have the gall to raise the price on Sunday only to $ 28 a person for«Sunday brunch» vs. regular breakfast($ 20/pp I think). I’m sure the food comes from the same kitchen and you don’t run the risk of over eating. Service is good and the menu is large enough to suit most guests. If there is something you want to order that is not listed they may be able to accommodate you since it is somewhat«diner like».

I had a New York steak with a side of vegetables and a glass of wine. I asked for medium rare and it was pretty close to that. It’s not the best steak I’ve had, but not the worst either. The server was very polite but the service was very slow. Out probably took a good 5 — 10 minutes for the server to greet me… Then another 10 minutes for my wine. Considering that I was a part of 1, I expected faster service.

I went to the metropolitan recently when my boyfriend and I were out at borgata and looking for a late night fix. It was September on a Friday night but surprisingly very empty. Despite there being several open tables they decided to plop a family of 4 right next to us. It has a bit of a diner feel without the diner food. I was quite pleased with my shrimp risotto and matzo ball soup. Boyfriend got a burger which was decent. Service was good overall– they stay open late so that’s a plus, and I would go back just for the shrimp risotto.

The Metropolitan is one of the many restaurants offered at the Borgata Hotel and Casino. Mediocre at best, I’d say. My friends and I were seated in their little patio area on a Saturday night, which provided us with a nice view of the casino. Lines were starting to form outside of the restaurant and we had just missed the dinner rush by a couple minutes. Burger — I was craving a sandwich and decided to order a burger with bacon. Now when I ordered my burger, I expected it to come with the usual burger toppings — lettuce, tomatoes, and maybe even onions at a minimum. When my burger came out, it had NOTHING on it except for the patty and two pieces of bacon that I had specified. Seriously? I was left speechless for a couple seconds. The employee who had brought out my burger must have noticed my gaping mouth, because he immediately asked me if I wanted other toppings on it. UMYES? I mean I do consider myself a carnivore but not to that extent. Apparently their menu states that all toppings needed to be requested. But keep in mind, the server DIDNOT ask nor inform me when he took my order. I would think that a customer ordering a burger with just bacon on it was unusual, but I guess not. The beef patty was quite large at 10 ounces. Flavorful but not spectacular. Spaghetti and Meatballs — Bland and dry. The pasta was so dry that my friend had to request additional sauce to be added. Chicken Quesadilla — The quesadillas came with a side of sour cream and salsa, and were surprisingly well-portioned given that they were considered appetizers. There were four large pieces with chicken and melted cheese sandwiched in a toasted tortilla. Much more flavorful than the burger and spaghetti. Overall I’d say there are better places to check out if you are staying at the Borgata. Typical casino prices apply and you can make a tastier investment elsewhere.

Given only a handful of dining options at the Borgata Resort and Casino, my friend and I came here for dinner. Not expecting much from the restaurant, I decided on the chicken noodle soup and the bacon cheddar burger(which comes with a side of fries). The soup was sadly way too salty. The burger was not bad, but I wish it was just a tad thinner! It was not very proportionate comparing the meat to the rest of the ingredients. Nonetheless, it was quite tasty, but the fries was a major disappointment. If they were to give me such poor quality fries, I rather they didn’t give it to me. It was barely hot or even warm, not crunchy or fresh looking. The service was good. She came by often to check on us. we sat there for a while after eating, but she didn’t rush us to leave or anything.

Sorry to say it, but this is terrible food. And terribly expensive at that. Almost cafeteria quality, at hotel restaurant prices. Ribs were amazingly greasy and fatty yet somehow tasteless. Crab cakes were ok. Large portions but what does that do for me when the food tastes terrible… The only thing it really has going for it is sheer convenience, for the times you don’t want to take too long to eat, and prefer something a little better than fast food in the food court. Oh and service is decent.

A group of my friends and I came here the day we were checking out of Borgata. We were able to be seated as a group of 6 with no wait, which was nice. The waiter brought waters to the table right away. My brunch was really good, I ordered an egg white, pepper & onion omelette, that came with a potato and sausage on the side. I love chocolate milk, so I ordered one as well with my meal, and it was soooo good, definitely one of the best chocolate milks I’ve had(yes chocolate milk can not taste good from certain places LOL) Everyone else I was with also seemed to enjoy their food. The menu itself has a lot of options, so The Metropolitan can be good for lunch as well as dinner. I would come back here next time I am staying in the Borgata.
