Terrific local breakfast stop. Super fresh fruit, hearty omelette and excellent coffee. Great place to catch up on its friends over bottomless coffee. In walking distance to marina.

My friend took me here one morning. We both have one year olds. They accommodated us with high hairs which were clean and in working condition. The place is on the smaller side, and can get crowded on the weekend. The pancakes, pancakes, pancakes! I swear they are such an easy item to screw up and The Hudson Café really does a great job. Their homemade syrup is TODIEFOR. Try try try! Portions were decently and surprisingly filling! The latte was also yummy. They had attentive staff and were very friendly but on a busy day, you’ll need to stay on top of them as they seem to have been short handed.

French Toast is insane here! Orange Juice is really fresh, my husband had the porkroll speacial which was great too! Service was friendly and prompt! Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the seating was a little iffy

Awesome breakfast. Found this place on Unilocal based on the reviews. Had the blueberry pancakes because everyone was raving. It didn’t disappoint. The best pancakes I’ve ever had.

This place is absolutely wonderful. I work in Atlantic highlands, so once lunchtime comes around, I have a lot of options. I tried Hudson Café within a month of me working in town, and I can’t get enough. The breakfast is out of this world. This place puts Sissys to SHAME! The lunch at Hudson Café is amazing also! Just don’t expect any French fries with your order. Plus, the Mac and Cheese can be better. I recommend the Chicken Cesar wrap, your mind will be blown. This place only serves breakfast on weekends so plan accordingly! Lunch is personally my favorite. I love this place!

Super impressive breakfasts. They make homemade maple butter for french toasts and pancakes which is legit. Will absolutely be back!

Hudson Café has great breakfast. They serve breakfast everyday and lunch on weekdays. The omelettes, French toast and coffee are the perfect way to start the weekend. The restaurant is family owned and run and they’re all friendly and attentive. My go-to place for weekend breakfast and lunch on my days off! Try the iced coffee and the chili… so good!

Best. Blueberry. Pancakes. Ever. Seriously, I couldn’t stop talking about them. And eating them, of course. They didn’t even need syrup. Service was great. A commenter below warned vegetarians about the potatoes being cooked in bacon grease… our waitress actually told my sister(a vegetarian) about this when sis ordered a dish sans meat(without sis even asking about the potatoes). The cook offered to make them for her without the bacon. So clearly they’ve improved their methods since that review. The coffee was pretty excellent, as were the egg dishes. My whole party had a great experience here, I’d recommend it for sure. Oh, and did I mention the pancakes?

Pancakes and french toast are amazing. All of the omelets are great as well. If you are there for lunchv make sure to get whatever soup they have as a special.

I gave an extra star just for the pancakes. Don’t miss the pancakes with maple butter very good. A little pricy. Breakfast for two will be over $ 20 for sure. Omelet choice is most reasonable at $ 8.95. Eggs sounds like a bargain but to add any meat will cost you extra. But. Let me end this review like I started. Have the pancakes. Waitress was wonderfully friendly. I told her multiple times I lived the pancakes. Her suggestion: next time have the regular Hudson French toast. You tell me.

Warning to vegetarians and all those whose religion prevents them from eating pork: Your hash browns/potatoes are cooked in bacon grease. My companion was very upset when she took a bite and tasted meat. Part of her omelet was up against these potatoes, and her toast was laying on top of it. The waitress had a nice demeanor but was perplexed as to why we were upset. She didn’t offer to remake the dish. Instead, she watched as we cut part of the omelet away and awkwardly transferred the uncontaminated portion to a side dish. We asked for a new order of toast, which was rushed and not at all browned. She did not check on us again till we were at the end of our meal, which means we sat there wanting to order orange juice, more coffee, and more napkins, but, no dice. Even though the café was totally dead and there was no reason to be ignored by our waitress, I will try it again in the near future and hope for a better experience.

Cozy place with a fresh menu. Not your average breakfast. From what I hear, owned by sisters and each specialty omelet named for each and unique as they are I’m sure. Had the Stephie with kielbasa, mushrooms and cheddar. It was delish and by far the fluffiest omelet I’ve ever seen. The hash browns gave a clue how good this was gonna be. After tasting the crispy oniony delights, I knew I was in a place that got it. They even offer regular or fresh squeezed OJ. Really? If I only lived closer! 200 miles is quite a hike for breakfast!

A exceptional breakfast! The French Toast are heavenly, and the coffee is strong, but not bitter . Scrumptioulus.

I really love a place wherein the dishes are named after the folks who work there. This place has a friendly, hippie vibe to it. The kind of vibe you get at Jersey Roasters or some beachside bar in the Carribean(except, uh, no beach). At least that’s how I feel with the service — you’re always welcome, they’ll feed you loads of food, and you’ll want to come back and try the other dishes. It’s not a huge menu, but when a place serves REAL kielbasa(not, I repeat, NOT Hillshire Farms) you know that you have a gem of place. Those omelettes with the potatoes on the side will definitely keep your tummy happy til dinner. Not just by the sheer size of it(which I must add is considerable, be warned) but the taste. OMG, yum. Think I know what I’m having for breakfast tomorrow. :)

We made a reservation for 7 people at11. We made the reservation so we could meet to discuss a very important health issue as a family. At 11:07 they had given away our table. They told us to come back in half hour. We came back at 11:30. They had given away our table again. They wouldn’t give us the open table right in front of us. Both owners and the cook started yelling at us. They lied. they said i got there at 11:15 when I met the rest of my party in the parking lot after they got turned away the first time and never went up to the restaurant. I can only imagine them being so tough on themselves if they were 10 minutes late getting us a take. This restaurant has gotten to big for themselves. Awful bullies. Stay away.

After an unplanned stay in ASbury Park as well as an unplanned morning Yoga session, my friends suggested we try here for breakfast. Upon arriving we were told that it was about a half hour wait — I should mention now, I had NOT had a chance to have coffee yet, and the fact that 30 minutes was standing in the way of my caffeine had me internally freaking out for a minute. However, one of our party had arrived before us, and they told her only 15… and our party grew from 3 to 5. As the rest of our party was showing up, we were seated almost immediately. The staff apologized profusely for the wait — it really wasn’t that long, especially considering how small the place is. The menu sounds like a healthnut wrote is, and they might have, but it was a health nut with taste buds. The food is really good. I was actually disappointed I did not get the food bowl, which looked amazing! It wasn’t a tiny cup of sad fruit, but a huge bowl of brightly happy looking fruit… with a little topping to go with it. I can never turn down unlimited coffee — which was way better then your typical diner coffee — and the prices are pretty cheap as well. Would definitely love to come back here next time we visit.
