As a last minute birthday surprise I called bryans florist to deliver a large bouquet to my mom. They were able to deliver within just a couple hours and my mom was so happy with the gorgeous bouquet. It really made her day. I absolutely would recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a great and friendly florist.

I have called this florist numerous times over the past ten years to order flowers for my mother and other family members that live in Auburn. I have also gone in and purchased a few items. The shop is in a old building, probably historic, and it’s nicely arranged, clean, and pleasant. The staff have always been very helpful and friendly whether I go in the shop or call. I think their pricing is reasonable. They never disappoint. My Mom got her Mother’s Day flowers today and she was so pleased with the arrangement she called me right away. I will never again use a national service like FTD because of bad experiences and poor quality flowers. If you’re buying flowers for someone in Auburn California call this florist. My advice to anyone — if you’re buying flowers for anyone out of your area find a local florist and call them directly — you’ll get better service and better flowers because you’re eliminating the middle man. Use Unilocal to find someone local.

I worked with Lana, who made two flower arrangements for an event I put together, and both were absolutely gorgeous. She was very easy to work with and went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. I would definitely recommend Bryan’s Auburn Florist and look forward to using them again in the future!

I was on my way to a wedding in foresthill and stopped in downtown auburn at bryan’s florist to see about a last minute wedding bouquet for the bride and groom. To my amazement the staff was very helpful and creative. I went in with an idea of flowers for a small gift an walked out with a bouquet that was beyond what I could have hoped for. I gave them a $ 50 price range and they ran with it. The creativity was as great as their service. If you’re in the area this is definitely the place you want to stop and get your flowers.

My daughter and her fiancé stopped in to get a wedding bouquet just shortly before leaving Auburn for The Sea Ranch for their wedding. I cannot tell you how beautifully delicate and fragrant the bouquet was that the Bryan’s florist constructed in just 20 minutes, wrapped in the sleeve of the groom’s mother’s and grandmother’s wedding gown(his mother wore his grandmother’s dress for her wedding). They provided a nice small vase to keep it safe and in water until the next day, and the flowers were beautiful and fresh the next day for their ceremony.

I went to Bryan’s Florist because they came highly recomended by a friend. I needed to order flowers for a friend who was having a major surgery. I came in on a Thursday to have them delivered on the following Saturday. The delivery was to be made to Colfax. The delivery fee as I was told was $ 16.00. I thought this was a little much, but they came highly rated, so I went ahead with the order. I wanted to make sure they got to her, so that is why I went for an area florist versus ordering online. The flowers never made it to my friend. At 1:45 on Saturday someone called from Bryan’s and left a message stating they had a question and would be closing at 2pm and would not be opening again until Monday at 8:30! They waited until 15 minutes before closing to leave me a message. I guess they could not find her house! Great! Upon further investigating their web site I find that there hours posted that they are open till 3pm. AND there delivery fee is quoted cheaper on the website as well. When the owner Jeannie called me on Monday morning she explained that they could not find my friends house and that she had actually given me a deal, because they usually cahrge $ 25 for that part of Colfax! 25! Seriously! Wow. She offered to refund my money. fine. but not the delivery fee! WHATDIDYOUDELIVERFORME!?? Nothing. So, not only do they post wrong information online, they do not have a voicemail on thier phone, it just rings and rings when you call. My complaints were on deaf ears. There was no symphathy from jeannie that she was a HUGE disappointment on a very important day. She actually began yelling at me at the end of our phone conversation when I became upset she wanted to still charge me for not providing the service she had promised to do. OHHH! And she took my money from my bank account before the flowers were to be delivered! IS this common practice to take customers money before you give them anything? NO! Bottom line. Do not go here, they claim to have been doing business in Auburn since 1948, but do not know the area well enough to deliver flowers.

If they claim they do «Flowers for all occasions since 1948» you would think they could get it right. WELLTHEYDIDN“T. I went there with the idea of patronizing local business because with all the options with the internet and such… but all I got was a big fat disappointment. I ordered a $ 140 arrangement to be sent to my Grandmother’s funeral out of town. They said no problem. I got my receipt and expected the big pink flower heart arrangement of a to be there at the mortuary a couple days later. WELL… I got to the mortuary and saw nothing that resembled what I ordered. I looked at all the cards that were attached to the arrangements and I saw nothing. There was nothing that said it was from me. I was angry. After spending 140 bucks on an arrangement and not being there is absolutely ridiculous. I called Bryan’s Florist phone number while I was there at the mortuary to ask where was my arrangement and apparently they were not open. Not even a voicemail or an answering machine for them to call me back. I was absolutely fuming! I call the next day before the funeral to ask them what was up with my order and they were very insistent that the arrangement was delivered. I talked to the funeral home and they said everything that was delivered was delivered, and there was nothing with our name on it. I was even more fuming. I was both sad and in mourning because it was my grandmother’s funeral, and I was angry because my arrangement was not there. I was dead set on getting my money back. The next day I went back to Bryan’s Florist and talked to Lana Shevchenko about my order she was saying«I don’t think you understand.» like she was talking down to me. She kept saying«but it was there» and«I got confirmation.» etc., etc., ALL she was doing was covering her ASS about how she claimed the order was delivered. She kept putting it upon the mortuary and the other florist. Why can’t they just take responsibility and refund my money! The fact is… THEFLOWERS I ORDEREDWERENOTDELIVEREDDELIVERED! The service I wanted was not expedited. I was expecting to see a big fat pink flower heart arrangement and with a card saying from me and my family and I didn’t see it. All she said is, «Talk to FTD» about it. and you know what… I will. DON“T EVERUSETHISFLORIST!!! THEYARETHEABSOLUTEWORSTFLORISTINTHEWORLD. They claimed they had confirmation that the flowers were delivered, but then… HOWCOMEWEDIDN“T SEETHEFLOWERS!?! Exactly. Now do you want to use them? If I could give them a no star or a negative star rating I would. but for the sake of this review… i had to give them 1 star.

I got married this past September and I looked at three other florists in Auburn before I chose Bryan’s. The people were actually friendly and helpful unlike the other places. My mom and I were actually ignored in the shop up the street. They took the time to find out what I liked and they helped me come up with beautiful, unique arrangements that didn’t cost me thousands of dollars. If you’re looking for a florist, definitely check them out.

Jeff and Jeannie Bryan owned Bryan’s Florist until Oct. 2005, when they sold it. The new owner plans to keep the name. They have some great traditions such as handing out free flowers on Friendship Day. They’re located across from City Hall.
