best carnitas burrito We have ever had, and we have eaten quite a few at alot of different restaurants! Salsa is great, fresh and homemade there. Our new favorite Mexican food place!

Disgusting! Chicken tasted like Chinese food. I know it’s bad when I wish I had McDonald’s instead. I have never had memorable Mexican food in this area, but was just informed that Chipotle just opened on Bell Rd. Yay…

Wow! Unilocalers were right. I rarely give a 5 but they deserve nothing less. I usually drop to a 4 because there is something that could be better but can’t think of one. Location is a little hard to find as it is crammed between two others in a strip mall so they placed a sign in parking lot to help. It is not something you would ever see driving past. Service was attentive and friendly. Menu is vast. They serve more than just burritos. Ingredients are all fresh. I especially liked that they had real pico de gallo in salsa bar. The guac was real and not the green goo you see at other places. Now the food… meat was very flavorful. Veggies fresh. Really liked the rice. It was light and fluffy and enjoyed the sprinkle of melted cheese. Place was kept very clean as well. Prices are very comparable to any other taqueria.
The only unfortunate thing is that it is not closer to home because I would love to come more often. I will definitely be back! Job well done guys. Support this family business!

Came here after a hike to lake clementine. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of ingredients. I ordered the two shredded chicken enchilada plate. The chicken was some of the most tender and consistent chicken I’ve ever had in Mexican food. I like that it seemed like they put thought into everything on the plate. Some places will not put much into the beans and rice, but not here. Not sure if the person working the counter owned it but she was excellent. She checked in to see how the food was and was very sweet. The place was also impeccably clean. My boyfriend even said how he wished we had a place like this in midtown. I would come here over tres hermanas any day! In closing I will definitely be back and this place has given me a new respect for food in auburn :)

I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. Not only is the food excellent but the owners are delightful. As the parents of a toddler its important that a restaurant be kid friendly and the people working there not be baby haters… which seems to happen a lot. This place was so friendly and accommodating to us and our little girl. It made our visit there even better. Our food was quick out and delicious. I had the carne asada tostada salad and my husband had the nachos. We both had more then enough food to eat and share. The salsa bar is excellent… and just a word to the wise… the label shows 2 as «hot». One of them… is extra hot… and we can eat HOT… this was really really HOT. We will be back without a doubt. Thank you for the awesome service!

So my friend and I went here for dinner after golfing at the Ridge. What a great find!(Thank you fellow Unilocalers for the reviews) We both had burritos (Fajita & Breakfast) and were very impressed. Delicious and piping hot. Salsa bar was great with various fresh salsa’s. The cashier (owner) was very friendly and helpful. All in all, a home run. We will return after the next golf outing.
(Side note: It is located in a shopping center on the North side of Bell. Our navigation spazed out trying to get us there… but it was well worth a u turn or 2)

The place is perfect. A whole in the wall experience but it’s clean and everyone is very pleasant. The food also so amazing.
I love the steak nachos.
The breakfast burrito is also awesome. Some have said my husband is a purveyor of the best breakfast burritos and they make them the best in auburn.
The family that owns the place is so incredibly sweet, takes Sunday off to spend it with each other. Pretty cool these days!

Great food, atmoshepere and most of all friendly staff. I got the enchilada plate w/​a carnitas tacos and my boyfriend got the fajita beef burrito. Everything was great!!! My new favorite spot in the area

First I have to say as far as finding a great spot to have a taco or burrito, this place is by and far incredible. I am impressed for many different reasons, and will try to cover the ones most important to my criteria.
First the staff were wonderful. The owner when not cooking would come out and talk with the patrons making sure everything was excellent. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. The aroma of cuisine fills the air.
Next, I love the homemade chips and salsa bar– hot home made corn chips along with several salsa choices make for a wonderful start.
The food itself is fantastic! We had chicken and asada tacos, and an asada burrito– the food was Delicious. To begin with, the asada was generously cut into a larger cube and had a fantastic taste that was present in every bite. Perfectly cooked, it was hot and juicy! The balance of the fillings for the burrito included potatoes, beans, and salsa. The size is considerable and well executed. Compared to similar options such as chipotle and free birds, this place is a step above!
The salsas were fantastic and included several options ranging in spiciness. The cheese and sour cream cooled things a bit and balanced the flavored nicely.
As far as location, it’s tucked in a strip mall and is TOTALLY worth finding! I will be back and wish one was closer to my home in Roseville!

Amazing! Best Mexican place in all of auburn and Sacramento area. Do not hesitate to go here, they literally have THE best burritos and a large variety of freshly made salsas! Seriously, go here, you will not be disappointed!

What a find! We’re new to the area and have tried five or six different mexican places with mixed results. Flaming Burrito is our definite favorite now. What we ordered was fresh: chips, salsa bar, burrito and taco ingredients, and meat was quality. The restaurant is kept clean, they show their pride in what they do. Nice.
On our second visit, I tried the beer battered fish taco (cod) which I’m pretty particular about. Slap my face and call me Sally, what a hit! Right up there with Taylor’s Refresher Grill in St. Helena! Big chunk of cod fried just right, well-​balanced, tasty aioli. Server said the battered fish burrito is popular as well, so I’ll be trying that on our next visit.
Only complaint is that they’re closed on Sunday, otherwise we’d be up there two days in a row.

OK me and my fiancé used to go here when they were in Rocklin and when they closed we were so bummed, we tried different mexican restaurants and nothing measured up to this place, we were so excited when we heard they were re opening in aubrn, we live in antelope and trust me it’s worth the drive. Best mexican food ever… and the owners are the nicest people, we adore them

My dad I and stopped by Flaming Burrito and the reviews are so right about this place it was so great! This was by far the best wet burrito I have ever had in my entire life and wasn’t a fan of them until now! They have good vibes.
This is definitely our new spot for authentic Mexican food.

Dropped in a couple of weeks ago after a hike in Colfax. My friend and I ordered tacos, expecting them to be small street tacos! Boy were we wrong! They had huge portions of meat on our tacos. I got the carne asada taco and the carnitas taco.
The carne asada taco was delicious! Sometimes the steak can be too dry if it is overcooked, but their’s was perfectly cooked. It was moist and flavorful. The carnitas were crispy and delicious as well! Just thinking about those tacos are making me hungry again…
The cashier was super nice! She made sure we knew where the water was and asked how the food was!
I’ll definitely be back after another hike!

Delicious food! Unlimited chips and salsa while you wait, the food came out nice and hot, made to order, good pricing and very friendly staff!
My last review was 4 out of 5 because there wasn’t enough meat. Didn’t have that problem again, so I’m updating it. I will go here over the Chipotle that is coming in soon. They have wonderful flavors, the cop and salsa bar, great pricing. Chipotle can’t beat that. And, I love helping unique businesses over national conglomerates. It’s a win-​win.

Stopped for lunch today (4-​3-​2016) on the way to Tahoe. I had the Chicken Tostada salad and my husband had the Shredded Chicken Tacos. The ingredients were very fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly. If you are looking for ambiance you will not find it here. You will find good service and fresh food, though.

I was leaving Famous Footwear when I noticed the new name of this business. So, on a whim, the kids and I stopped by to grab a quick bite to eat. When we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owner. She was very friendly & helpful. I immediately noticed how clean the restaurant was. It smelled delicious and as I walked closer to the counter to order, I saw the grill covered with fresh tomatoes! I was impressed!
I ordered a bean & cheese burrito. The kids ordered nachos. The food was fresh and made within a reasonable amount of time. As the kids were eating, the owner walked up to our table & said that it looked like there was not enough cheese. She apologized to the kids and had another nacho made. It was really refreshing to see a restaurant being proactive. My kids didn’t complain about the food. So, her coming to our table was genuine and organic.
I highly recommend going here. The prices are a tad high, but seeing that they are creating everything from scratch, it’s worth an extra couple of bucks.

Flaming Burrito Grill is worth the trip if you’re in the area.

Excellent service! The owner/​mgr even asked me how my food was afterwards. I asked her what’s their specialty and she said carnitas. I tried the carnitas taco and shredded enchilada suiza. The carnitas were fresh and delicious and not greasy! She said the cook just pulled out a fresh batch and it tasted that way.
