Damn fine burgers at an affordable price. It’s very good and speedy service plus they do an event at Easter that’s fun for the kids

I would say if your looking for an old fashioned style burger with fast service you could do worse. What I like about them is they keep it simple and don’t drown the burger in sauce. They are underwhelming but good if that makes sense? When we see one and are hungry it’s an easy decision over the fast food chains and the stainless diner look is always cool.

Amazing bacon cheeseburger! Warning though: not a ‘while you drive’ burger. Very messy! The bacon was crispy and the patty is seasoned well. The prices are great too. The reason they lost a star: the fries are not very good… They are thin and get cold quickly. I didn’t get dipping sauce because you have to pay extra(and I already paid extra for tomato) Overall– will definitely go again. I would recommend this place unless you only want fries.

Very yummy, buy very greasy. Fries are usually cold and too crunchy. it’s alright sometimes, but not something i’d eat often.

I haven’t been here in a year but nothing has changed, even the menu prices. I still like their food-the burgers are decent size & tasty, the bacon add-on is actually cooked to order, the fries are always fairly fresh(albeit somewhat oversalted), but I detest dealing with the brain-dead employees. How many times does someone need to repeat something? Any slight deviation from the norm seems to send these people into fits.

Great little drive-thru only burger joint in Auburn that serves up delicious old fashioned burgers. We stopped by after a hike and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger. It was everything I expected — crispy bacon, melted american cheese, well season patty and all the standard fixin’s(lettuce, tomatoe, pickles, ketchup & mayo.) I espeicially enjoyed the pickle chips which were bright and crunchy. Service was also very fast as well. I splurged a bit and ordered a «razzleberry» shake which was just ok. I would have like them to have used a raspberry ice cream, but instead, they just mixed raspberry syrup with vanilla ice cream.

When I pulled up to the drive thru I almost kept going as I was the 6th car back… glad I didn’t. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger & it was delicious! I ordered within 3 minutes and had my burger in another 2 – 3 minutes. The burger was perfectly cooked with real melted cheese.

I love this place the only thing is when the lunch and dinner rush hit you’ll be waiting in line for a while

The burgers are always good and the fries are nice and crispy(must get the fry sauce). Also, the shakes are very yummy. I’ve only had one negative experience and that was them forgetting a couple items but, that’s all.

I can’t think of any other time I’ve eaten a burger that tasted so amazing. This burger is intense, with a fantastic price and will satisfy your taste buds.

So disappointed. As a native Californian, I am very familiar with In-N-Out. Frugal’s doesn’t compare in the slightest. The burgers here made me very sick and didn’t taste that great to begin with. The fries were bland, cold, and small. I’m sorry but I will not be returning to this place, unless the food’s quality takes a massive turn.

After seeing many good reviews I decided to check out this place. I’m not sure how this place has been awarded«best burger in Auburn». The buns were on the dry side, and there really wasn’t much to the burger – besides also being a bit dry. Overall, just not very memorable. If you’re in search of a good burger, head to Kent as they have a few more options. They do have good late night hours, however, as everything else in the area closes earlier.

Great burgers and great prices! You can’t go wrong with Frugals burgers. Drive thru only, but plenty of parking spots nearby and you can eat in your car. Blackberry shakes are GREAT! My husband and son got the bacon cheese burgers. Yummy fry sauce to go with awesome hot French fries. My only complaint is I ask for tomatoes on my burger, paid extra and there was one super thin slice of tomato. Everything tasted delicious. Not close to our home but we will stop if ever in the area again. Good service!

First: Terrible B.L.T. Hardly no lettuce(had yo take the sandwhich apart to find any lettuce) and the lettuce was shredded bag lettuce not leaf. Not fresh, no cold lettuce crunch. :(Tomatoe was fine, too much bacon! Call it a bacon sandwich. Just too much bacon. The bread was a hamburger bun, too much bread. Should have been toasted sliced bread for a proper BLT. Fast food, friendly service. The fries could use a quality update, small and cheap. Disappointing. The friendly service is the only reason this place gets a 2 star not a 1.

Yeah the cashier was super unfriendly and looked mad at me. I have to drop it to 2 stars for that. If the food wasn’t so good it would be 1! Unique drive through in auburn, food isn’t cheap but it’s better than Mcdonalds or Burger King ect. The lady on the intercom tonight doesn’t sound too happy.

Its a drive through only not a sit down and take a lunch break place. The burgers here are ok I’ve had better but they aren’t bad either. Cant complain it is what it is

As far as fast food goes in Auburn this is the spot. Great service & nice people. The burgers are are made fresh with fresh ingredients. Definitely a way better option than any other burger drive through within a 10 mile radius. The prices are also really very moderate. Two cheeseburgers, fries, drink, & two xtra fry sauce is under $ 10.

The burger is pretty decent, and good size, so I would get one of those, but one thing i hate is they will charge you extra if you want tomatoes on a burger that doesnt have one, they also charge extra for their fry sauce, which I wouldn’t get anyway, since I dont care much for their fries– their fries are bland and tasteless and in general cold. They do have a good selection of shakes, and always have a interesting flavor of the month, so if I get a drink here in general thats what I will get since they have Coke products and I dont like Coke. They only have a drive through, and its on both sides of the building– but if you go to the drive through on the left its kinda wonky, you have to give the cashier the money through your passenger window lol, and get the food from that window as well– so if you have issues bending over for any reason go to the drive through on the right.

I thought their burger was ok. I got the ¼ cheeseburger. The party was too thin for me. It was also very salty too… French fries on the other hand needed salt. They tasted like any other frozen fries you could make at home. The price is quite fair. $ 9 for 2 burgers, fries and a drink.
