This is the best teriyaki joint in the south Auburn/Lakeland Hills area! The woman who runs the place is very sweet and polite and the food is great! My wife and I recommend the Mongolian beef and Kung Pao chicken

Love this place. Split a special tonight. Teriyaki chicken with breaded chicken and gravy. Instead of white rice, we had fried rice. The dinner was $ 13 and perfect for two. They lady is always so nice and friendly. She apologized for being slow when the people in front ordered 10 dinners to go. I didn’t care. This place is always good.

Best teriyaki I’ve ever had. Always fresh and hot. Very clean restaurant to. Would recommend the chicken katsu.

We got spicy chicken teriyaki and it was really good. The teriyaki had a slightly sweet taste to it, which help cut out some of the spice. The sticky was good and not undercooked. The salad dressing you get with your meal was really creamy and tasty. My only complaint I have was our drinks. We got our order to go and I grabbed 2 drinks from the cooler. When we got home and opened them they were flat. My husband checked the expiration date and the sodas were expired by a couple of days. I have never got expired soda from a restaurant before but I am sure that isn’t a good thing.

This is your typical teriyaki joint. Located in a strip type shopping area nestled between a laundromat and a UPS shipping center kinda place. It has the air of most teriyaki restaurants and that seems par for the course. I’d like to see more fine dining teriyaki establishments one of these days but for now I guess they’ll just go with what works. The food was pretty average. If individual teriyaki places were a chain, you could almost count on this type of quality across the board and for me, that is just mediocre. Nothing really stood out as being any better than anything else that I ate there nor any other place that I’ve eaten for that matter. The chicken wasn’t dry so that was good and their gyoza were good but those are kinda fool proof. The sauce was almost too sweet and for teriyaki, that is saying something. I ordered the lunch special of teriyaki chicken and General Tsao’s chicken and I can honestly say that they need to figure out how to make General Tsao’s or just stop altogether. The cincher on this visit was the price. Nearly $ 30.00 for 2 of us to have lunch? It wasn’t good enough for me to justify spending that much and because they charge so much, I won’t be going back again. Sorry Ginger but your food better get a lot better or your prices better come down a bit before I come back. Thanks for reading.

Teriyaki is one of my favorite to-go foods(behind maybe only a well timed pizza delivery from Papa Johns during a Hawks game) and I can easily say This is my most favorite one. I can’t come out here as often as I wish since I live in Tacoma but there is no better spicy chicken teriyaki in the business than at here. I don’t even know what else is on the menu because I already know exactly what I want when I come. The portions are perfect size for an adult male(meaning if you’re with your family, looks like dad’s gonna get some seconds!) as I’ve never left hungry. And if you’re worried about spicy being too spicy, fear not it doesn’t require as high of a pain tolerance as you would think. Just try it and be amazed. Also it’s owned by the sweetest family that’s been running it for so many years. I got to meet them a while back and I’ve always been greeted with the most welcome of arms and smiles. Talk to the mom and be prepared for a conversation of authentic kindness or her son who actually comes by after working at his daytime job because he loves supporting his hard working parents. And you’ll never see Dad the cook slaving away in the back but know that the best compliment you can leave him is an empty plate. All I can say is I wish this place was closer to me but whenever I make the trip out there, I never leave disappointed. Hopefully you can have the same experience as well!

Came here tonight for the first time on a whim and got take out. I ordered chicken yakisoba and kung pao chicken. The salad that came with the meals was fresh and came with a yummy sweet dressing. When it came to the main dishes, I was pleasantly surprised. This is pretty much the best teriyaki around here. The service was great too. My 7 year old daughter rates her food from 0 – 10. 0 being bad and 10 the best. She gave the food a 10 out of 10 which is very rare. I couldn’t agree with her more. We will be returning for sure.

Just called to place an order and the man told me he is closed. It is 8:31 and they don’t close till 9. We have our family in from out of state and I wanted them to eat their food the last night here. We eat there once a week but I will not eat there again due to this. I told the man that we eat there every week and that we won’t ever order again. This was a huge disappointment from them.

Amazing food at great prices. It’s been my family’s favorite for years. Adorable and sweet owner. The portion sizes are generous and the food is consistent. The salad dressing is addicting!

My family and I have been going here for years and it has always been awesome. Other teriyaki places just can’t compete with them. The gyoza are great and they always give a good amount of food with the different dishes. The Mongolian beef is very good and I personally like the chicken yakisoba a lot.

Maybe I came on a bad day but my chicken teriyaki was dry and so was the pork teriyaki. We ordered the family meal for 27.99. Good value for the amount of food you get, just wish my food wasn’t dry and crunchy. Not the texture you want with teriyaki

I’ve been going here for years ever since my wife introduced me, and she has been going here for even longer. Every time I go in here, Mama(that’s what I call her) greets us and offers us free soup. Everything I have ever tried here has been delicious! I can’t believe it took me so long to post a review here! If you want the best teriyaki in town, guess what? This is the place. That is quite impressive seeing as how teriyaki is on every corner. Even better is the price. For my wife and I to PIGOUT, it is less than $ 20. I can’t wait until next year when my daughter is old enough to try it. Her head is gonna explode! I can’t ever decide what I want when I go here. I usually end up getting either the chicken teriyaki(sometimes spicy), the beef teriyaki, or the Mongolian beef. Their sushi rolls are awesome too! California roll!!! I’m not talking about the one where you roll through a stop sign either. Speaking of stop signs and stopping, now that all of the red light cameras have been taken down in Auburn, I can run ALL the red lights on my way to GINGER! It’s the BEST!

I stop by here for lunch about 1 – 2 times a week. Walk in sit down I get a small bowl of peppery garlicy potato soup… Yumm! I usually get a lunch combo of ck teriyaki and something else. Always crisp salad and nice sticky rice along w/the meal. I’m out the door for under 10 + tip. Super nice and friendly staff.

I’ve been wanting to venture out to different teriyaki shops in search of a place that had tender moist flavorful chicken teriyaki. I found this place on Unilocal and I was under the impression that the 5 star rating meant that this was going to be excellent. We ordered a few items for dinner: Chicken teriyaki — It was ok. They gave a lot of rice and a lot of chicken. Chicken wasn’t as tender as I like. Chicken yakisoba — Husband ordered this, I didn’t try this but he said it was ok, not much chicken and he had to add teriyaki sauce to add more flavor. Bento — Chicken teriyaki, again it was ok. 2 gyozas, it was drenched in teriyaki sauce. A little soggy, but it was fine. 2 shrimp tempuras. Not much flavor but had dipping sauce for this. California roll, it was mushy and the rice fell apart easily. Didn’t taste like much even with soy sauce and wasabi. Overall everything was mediocre.

My husband and I were in the area for a wedding and came to this place because of its high rating. On a Monday afternoon we walked in and their was only one other table with guests. The woman working immediately brought us a little soup bowl. When we placed our order, our food was out within 5 minutes. The serving sizes are huge! I couldn’t finish mine, naturally, and the woman asked if I wanted a box to go. I told her I couldn’t because we were getting ready to fly back home. When we paid our check she gave us a free package of gum for the airplane ride! I told her she had great reviews and she said they had been open for ten years and have great customers.

3.3 stars Not often an individual that dines at Teriyaki style eateries, the perfect 5 star rating achieved by this mom and pop establishment forced me to give it a shot. Lunch time rolls around, what to eat, what to eat? The bento box option sticks out like a sore thumb so I order that and a side of hot and sour soup for sharing. The nice Korean lady greets me at the counter and takes my order. She brings out a cup of an odd looking soup while I wait; this soup looks like gravy with potato bits in it and didn’t have much of an appeal. It’ll do for now. Bento box sections: Scoop of white rice, iceberg lettuce with dressing –fresh, a California roll — average, Teriyaki chicken — okay, and a couple of gyosas and tempura shrimp –no issues here. The hot and sour was HUGE, like a small bowl of phở. The liquid was loose, not spicy hot and not thick enough to be a hot and sour soup. Perhaps a better term for this could be tofu soup with veggies. Not great but not bad, either. Overall impression: not the 5 star everyone is raving out. It is on par in terms of the teriyaki around the area; I would not order the soup again. I have yet to try the other«amazing» things my fellow Unilocalers have talked about, but on the other hand, I am not a teriyaki fan anyway.

I’m new to Washington, and hearing about the accolades of the other surrounding Asian restaurants, I figured there would be some hit and miss places. And I have to say, ginger teriyaki is the place to go. Big dishes of chicken with generous helpings of rice. There prices are extremely well placed for the food you’re paying $ 6.99 for an entrée. I’m leaving in a couple of weeks to go back to the Midwest and I have to say, I’ll miss this place. I recommend teriyaki chicken with general tsao’s chicken… stuff is amazing.
