Are you flipping kidding me? I ate here about 6 months ago and I still haven’t been able to clean all the love juices out of the underwear I wore that day… So I went to look for this place and found out they closed down indefinitely. You just don’t understand the level of heartbreak I am experiencing from this. This is a 5 star turned 3 star because the disappointment I feel right now equals a 1 star. Get your s**t together 5 o’clock bistro. I need you back.

The ambience is very good, very French. You can tell the menu was small with intention. Do a few things right and do then well. We ordered Pork belly, escargot, mussels, and scallop small plates. We also had three wonderful salads. All very, very good and innovative. For drinks, we had a sazaerac(perfect), a Black walnut Manhattan(outstanding), and a gin and tonic(very good). The meals were comprised of shellfish and grits with a cream sauce, sword fish in a beurre blanc and an order of mussels in white wine and buerre blanc. All very good. Service was attentive and corrective. Not fawning, but not ignoring. This is a must do in Augusta. Great restaurant with great pricing. We’re from Chicago, so we’d expect a restaurant like this to charge a lot more. You should go. Good, solid service, amazing ambience, and a great area. The food is wonderful.

I stopped by 5 O’Clock Bistro for brunch with my wife and some familiar faces since the prices were much better than for dinner. I don’t stop by King’s Way often, and mostly I find myself driving through it on the way to downtown Augusta. The exterior is unsuspecting but inside, the very roomy restaurant looks fabulous. I was surprised how nice the staff was and pleased to find a place that could handle a large group since most places downtown can’t. We started with Pimento cheese($ 5) served with spiced crackers that gave some added flavor. The cheese was creamy and there was enough for 2 – 3 people unless you’re a greedy eater. I ordered the Tournedos & Eggs($ 10) which was beef tenderloin tips in Dijon whiskey sauce and topped with a fried egg. When you mix the egg yolk and the Dijon sauce there is a fantastic flavor. My wife ordered the Shrimp N’ Grits Bowl($ 7) served with dill Cajun cream sauce and Andouille sausage. The stone grits were creamy and the sausage added some great texture. 5 O’Clock Bistro is a great place to have a casual meal on the fancier side and not break the bank while enjoying some delicious food.

Awesome time with the Augusta brunch bunch! The ambience was very inviting and laid back. I ordered the shrimp and grits as I always do for brunch. The flavor of the entrée was very great. The dish had jumbo shrimp and very tasteful. We ordered a few mimosas but they couldn’t be ordered until 12:30. Our server was very nice and handled us greatly. Not a very large place but has great space to offer if you would like to bring a group. Overall great experience and I will be back.

We stopped in to have brunch and meet some local Unilocalers. Mimosas were a very nice start. We had Linguini Carbonara. We split the plate and the server was most accommodating by splitting the plate for us. Also, I asked about cold coffee when I came in, she let me know they don’t serve cold coffee, however, she certainly surprised me by returning with a cold coffee she will sometimes make for herself. I must say, it was certainly a most delightful surprise and quite tasty! Most enjoyable was getting opportunity to meet Natasha and Ron, fellow Unilocalers.

I love this place. The best word to describe it is «Consistent». The staff members are always pleasant. I have never had a bad experience. They always do their best to accommodate their guest, the food is great and the pimento cheese is to die for!!!

Create place to take colleagues after work for a nice happy hour, but even better place for an evening of fine dining. It is quite evident that the owners/management takes pride in this establishment. Highly recommended

Enjoyed ladies night out at 5 o’clock Bistro last night. Wonderful atmosphere, food and service. I had a Bellini to drink, and stuffed chicken as my entrée. Our table shared appetizers; calamari and seafood bruschetta. They were both delicious. A must try restaurant in Augusta, Ga.

Ate there for lunch. It was okay. A little expensive. I ordered the soup and sandwich. The soup was delicious. Potato soup with truffle oil. The sandwich no so much. It was a chicken salad sandwich. They ran out of croissant. So gave me texas toast. Not a fun. Id go back if i was in the area. But not go out of my way to eat there.

Another TOTAL win for Augusta. Their service is pronominal, the food is top notch and prepared by a true chef. A local woman owns the place and has a back story along the lines of teaching culinary students and decided to open a restaurant. Whatever the story, THANKYOU! Fantastic cheese selection, great beer selection, drinks were great. Now to the food. Me: surf and turf… Delicious, perfectly cooked. Him: of course the scallops. Perfect! The is place #2 on favorites for Augusta. Great place that ranks up with the best I’ve had.

What a wonderful Easter dinner with my new bride. We started off with European olives, bacon wrapped scallops, Green Jacket salad and a weary good bottle of Napa Valley Merlot. Our main course of filet mignon and lobster was cooked to perfection. We ended our dinner with a bourbon crème brûlée which topped anything we had in Paris a few yeas ago. Our waiter, Andrew, gave us excellent attention(we expected nothing less). One of the owners, Barbara, made a special effort to speak to every table(Great Southern Hospitality). If you are in town for the Masters, be sure to make reservations. You will not regret it. My first visit. I’ll be back again.

Great service, and food. The prices are very reasonable for lunch. Filet burger was probably the best burger I’ve ever tasted.

Good food at a good price with really top notch service. I’ve been here a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The menu is a bit seafood heavy but it’s quite good. Lunch prices are absolutely phenomenal for the quality of the food. Dinner is a bit more but well worth every penny. two thumbs up from me!

Had a great time! Went there for our anniversary dinner which also happens to be New Year’s Eve. Reservations were easy and they seated us right away. Atmosphere was intimate and classy. Had live music which made the night perfect! Food was great and service was good!

Really ****½ rating. Great little brunch place on Sunday. Small menu but everything was good and reasonably priced. It was way cheaper here than I expected. The drink prices were a little higher though. I got club sandwich with pomme frittes. Ausgescheisnet :) The brunch burger was great and so were beef tips with eggs. My only issue is waited long time to order. We had group of seven and there was a several minute wait in between orders coming out. They weren’t that busy so just create a little awkwardness for folks who got food first. Overall it was very enjoyable and I will be back :)

This place makes you want to never eat anywhere else ever again! I had the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection and the dish had just the right portion to make me full as well. Yes it is a bit pricy, but it is worth your money. The pomme frites I believe that’s the name, are to die for! Our waiter was extremely nice and had great service.

I love this place. First off, the costumer service is phenomenal. I’ve visited on several occasions and they’ve always been consistent whether I was seated or waited at the bar. The venue is nice and dim. Honestly, it has a romantic type vibe, but it is recommended for dates and meetings because the atmosphere is calm and not noisy. However, they have LIVE music on a day of the week. I’m not sure the weekday, but it’s usually Jazz so nothing that would bother your experience. On my most recent visit, I enjoyed the Pimento Cheese as an appetizer. I enjoyed it. Even my friend who initially didn’t want to try it, liked it. It’s a must, so check it out. For my main course I had the Scallops and potatoes. I thought it was amazing. The scallops were perfect. The Chef got it right. The portion is good too, especially if you partake in any of the starters. They restaurant has outdoor seating. The parking can be difficult, but it depends on the crowd. Overall, great spot.

Very good ambiance. Started off with one of the special small plates, roasted oysters. They came out in a very rustic fashion. Shell on, had to ask for oyster knife to open. Despite all the hassle, loved the «rusticness» and they were delicious, juice and all! Entrée included special of day; halibut with lobster tail, 5 stars for the freshness. My friend had the seafood Bouillabaisse that came with a home made bread to dip, yum.

This place deserves 3.5 solid stars. The ambiance is great. Very welcoming, open set-up. Central large bar, open kitchen, plenty of seating, busy. Went here on a Saturday night and the place was packed. It’s really nice to see more fine-dining, non-chain options in Augusta. I did get the sense that the waiter was really pushing for the most expensive items on the menu. I suppose I can’t blame him, but the service staff should really be careful when walking the line between suggesting and insisting. Tried the French 75 cocktail and the Black Manhattan. The black manhattan was STRONG. The French 75 was fine. Seafood bruschetta appetizer with lobster claw was delicious. Although it was essentially bread buried in a seafood fondue. Heavy dish, flavorful, good portion. Plenty of seafood. Mains: Duck and the sea bass fish special. My duck was perfectly medium rare, but the kitchen didn’t sear the fat/skin to a good crisp. The butter poached parsnips were good, and the portabella/cheese bread pudding was wonderful. Very rich and dense. The fish, according to my dining buddy, was cooked well with a somewhat bland creamy sauce. No room for dessert. I’d return for drinks/apps at the bar. Reasonable pricing though.
