Snelling Center

This place is a great venue for any group, no matter what the size. I have done a couple of gigs here, so I can honestly tell you that it will accommodate a pretty large group. The venue is one of the newer ones in Augusta, so it’s clean and fresh; no wear and tear to report. Some of the local group use it repeatedly which tells me that it’s often available. The entrance has a staging area that can be used by vendors to showcase their offerings, and the middle of the dining area can be used to display you catered showpiece. It’s centrally located and easily accessible from the interstate (I20).

The Snelling Center is a great event space run by the Helms College Culinary School! This event space is located in the Goodwill Plaza next to Edgar’s Grille, Hire Grounds and of course the Goodwill Store. It has been one of the top places to host events since they opened. One of the attractions is the culinary school and many of the students preparing the dishes. I visited for a launch event and the food that was available was great. The space is also very open and colorful. The venue provides large windows near the entrance, which provides great light for the venue. Additionally, the space is outfitted with electronic signage and awesome audiovisual equipment for presentations. I’d recommend anyone using it. I enjoyed my time and look forward to attend or hosting events at the Snelling Center.

Was in the Snelling Center for Augusta Young Urban Professional Inaugural. This space was great! It is in a great location and a nice space for any type of meeting, party, reception, even a wedding. Very clean and spacious! Very nice staff as well!

Great facility for a great cause: At the Snelling Center, a portion of every dollar you spend goes toward education programs and placement services for those in need.
