I stopped by Kenneth Cole over the weekend and the women who worked their were so rude. When I asked for something in my size they tried to sell me something different. If your planning a trip to Kenneth Cole go to the one in Oakbrook, they know how to treat customers.

I went to the outlet mall today but I didn’t check in on Unilocal in every store I went in, except this one just because it was NOT up to par. I’m pretty sure many retail stores are struggling in the bad economy and need to go over and above these days to reel in the customers and make $$$. This was probably the 5th store I went in during my shopping excursion. I was looking for shoes. Apparently the Kenneth Cole accessories store is no longer there, this store is a combo clothes-accessories store. So I walk in to find one sales associate up on a ladder moving shoes around. No greeting… nada. I guess he noticed that I was looking for the shoes to try on to match the one in my hand so he was nice enough to find it for me as he was in the process of re-doing the entire area. I’m sure it’s tough to be the only person in the store on a slow Monday afternoon but a female made her way from the back only to turn around and head in the back, and while I was still trying on shoes, another guy came in and was assisting him. At least 10 customers came and went while these employees were moving boxes of shoes around … No greeting, nothing. Hopefully their stuff has censor tags, it wouldn’t surprise me if someone stole half of the store’s merchandise… these guys didn’t pay attention. After browsing the store(shoe box in hand) I had to ask the guy if he could ring up my purchase. So yes, I agree with the reviews below… horrible customer service!!! One star for the guy finding the shoes in my size(one of the three pairs I tried on) and one star because this store has great deals…30% off shoes, 50% off purses, sunglasses, etc

When you get this deals, you get the 5 stars! Including good customer service getting almost every shoe for me on the top shelve. Two pairs of fabulous KCR for less than $ 70. Sold and Sold! Can I get a second pair of each? ;)

I am a fan of KC and have been to several stores and outlets. By far, this has to be the worst with merchandise practically dropping to the floor. Sales associates are not useful. The manager was extremely rude. I wanted to return an unused belt with tags all intact(from a previous shopping spree) and couldn’t find my receipt. As I was looking through my purse for the receipt, she made impatient and rude noises and told the people behind me that she was held up coz I couldn’t find my receipt. The people behind me were very nice and didn’t mind. When I told her that I couldn’t find the receipt, she looked at me asked me if I had purchased the product form that store!!! After that she proceeded to tell me that the store will not accept returns without a receipt. I told her that my phone number and address were in their system and she could look me up but she refused to do so and told me that it was not going to happen. Before I could step away from the counter, she asked the people behind me to step up. Terrible customer service, bad experience… leaving a poor taste and much to be desired.

Good prices and I have been a Kenneth Cole buyer for many years… With that said, let me telly ya about my experience. I live in the city and was out in the burbs for a family visit. Its about a good 1.5 hour drive each way to this store. Well I get home and find the security tag still on my suit. What is frustrating is that the sensors kept beeping when I was going through security and the manager even came by and inspected the garment and said that it was okay. I call up the store and they offer me a coupon for an unspecified amount off my next purchase. With gas at $ 4 a gallon and the zoo of a shopping mall you have to navigate to get in and out of the store, the response to their mistake is disappointing to say the least.
