I was Christmas shopping at the outlet mall and I walked into Saks. It was a very clean and beautiful store. I found great deals on name brand designer merchandise. I couldn’t ask for more.

I found several adorable festive pieces with less than 20 minutes of shopping time. That said, the prices were not deeply discounted, but most Off 5ths are not. Typically there are sales on occasion and the clearance racks will have a few bargains if you can stomach the crowded racks of clothing. The store is spacious, organized and carries most brands carried in their regular store. It also has a nice size section with formal wear, party dresses and men Blazers which are especially useful this time of year. As for gadgets and accessories, it has those as well. And there’s a huge selection of Shelia’s Brownie Brittle which is some of the best junk food ever. Check ‘em out!

New store, anchor location at the Chicago premium Outlet mall. Quite frankly, I am not impressed. No designers. Very basic if you ask me. Plus, the layout looks more like a TJ Maxx or Kmart with the shopping carts at the front of the store. If you go to other Saks off fifth locations you’ll notice the layout of the store is quite different, and higher end. No service. If I’m going to drop some serious money, I expect at least a hello. Nope. Sales associates were chatting up a storm with one another. No sales. I found better deals at Neiman Marcus full retail store.
