I don’t know where that other picture of the shelves of games is from but that is NOT what the store looks like at all. There are about 4 aisles of games and each side of the aisle has maybe 1 – 2 copies of 20 games. The selection is extremely sparse, I was looking for something specific and couldn’t find it. I didn’t get to talk to a staff person as they were busy but this store seems better suited to regulars who game on the tables at the back. If you’re a casual board gamer looking to pick up a new game, you probably already own/have heard of most the games they have there.

Shep’s Games is in the old Attactix location on Hampden and Chambers. The new store is super friendly and the games are great. Board games for families and children, RPG’s for those so inclined and game nights at the store! Look ‘em on Facebook and you will get the game night schedule automatically.

If you played table top games and were from anywhere around here, you know the location. Since reopening, the owners have been super enthusiastic about trying to bring back that same experience. Now the shelves are VERY bare right now, but should they make it for a while, I could see it regain its former glory. Also they have weekly events, which is a great way to try out a new game.

Soooo glad that this store has reopened! It used to be Attactix, but now it is under new management and much simplified compared to before. It’s got a great location, right across the street from Dry Dock on Hampden. The store is brand spankin’ new, and it feels like it. Recently remodeled, the shelves are largely empty and there’s not much decoration on the walls — but the new owners are trying to make it work and I can only applaud them for that! They have a decent selection of unique board games and role playing games, so this is definitely the place to go if you’re looking for some quirky fun. It’s not just nerdy stuff like Magic the Gathering or LotR, either; just today, we wandered in during a Dominion tourney. Shep’s is a great place to meet new friends over a card game or a role playing get together, and we love this kind of participation in the community. This area of Aurora is really turning around and becoming better and better for local small businesses, so I encourage you to support this development and give Shep’s a try.

Excellent source for all things gaming. Opened under a new name and new management, Sheps Games is a huge step up from the former shop. Obvious care and effort went in to the new carpet, fresh paint, and clean industrial bathroom. The shelves are a tad bare but that will no doubt change as the business grows and flourishes. There are tables ready for a quick game of whatever tickles your fancy and a weekly Magic game already in progress. Please stop in and support this local gem so Chris sticks around and continues to provide us with the e-nerd-tainment we need here in Aurora! PS: LFG Shadowrun
