Amped Austin

We love Amped. My husband went to UT and bartended at chupacabra so we’ve been to all the spots and Amped and Thirsty Nickel are two of our faves on dirty 6^th. The owner Frosty is great peeps and the drinks are reasonably priced, fast service, there’s a roof that opens to the sky or can be closed for weather, and a dance floor that lights up. Too fun!

Check out Amped on 6^th. It’s a great spot to grab a beer or enjoy the authenticity of Austin. Make sure you ask for the bartender Brian. The service was 5 stars and a great guy. Will definitely be back. Brian was awesome

This place is so much fun! Bottle service is on point and they love having girls so if you have a big group of girls then it’s perfect you’ll get free drinks and bottles of champagne. The dj was my favorite part.

I love Amped! One of my favorites on dirty sixth. When you walk in, it is clean smelling and the front door guys/​gal are always really nice and funny! The bartenders are amazing, fast and make great drinks!!! This place gets an A++!

One of our first stops for a bachelorette party… The guys working upstairs were super fun and had a good sense of humor. Loved how we could see the sky from the dance floor even though it was indoor. I wouldn’t go before 11:30 p.m. though. Wait until it gets a little more filled up.

Amped is a must for any and every 6^th Street adventure. Quality staff/​bartenders, awesome DJs, slick atmosphere, an absolutely kick-​ass sound and lighting system, and one of the only real dance floors you’re going to find on Dirty.
It’s obvious that Amped never settles for the guaranteed tourist traffic that comes with being on 6^th Street, as many bars seem to do. The place is constantly finding new ways to create an addicting and memorable nightlife experience; every time I visit, something in the building has been upgraded or improved.

Stopped in Amped early one night for a few quick drinks with friends. Really cool bartender. Modern décor/​vibe. LOUD. Didn’t experience Amped during «peak time,» though.

Had bottle service here the other night… fun place! If you’re into AZN girls and EDM this is the place to be.

I gave this place one star because of the douchebag bouncer at the door. This place would have so much more business if it wasnt for him. The guy didn’t let one of my friends in even when she is actually 21 and using her real id. To prove it, we even asked another one of their employees for confirmation but the asshole bouncer wouldnt listen. Ive heard of multiple people getting rejected for the same reasons. Amped, you are losing business cause of this guy. Fire his ass!

I’ll have to say this is one of the better clubs here in Austin. They play mainly EDM. They do have 2 floors, which is pretty cool. Drinks are more expensive here compared to the other ones on 6^th street, but you obviously have to pay more at a nicer place. On the 2^nd floor, there are stages where you can go up to and dance, and they let guys on it. I had a good time here.

Great bar, great staff, and great events all year long. This space has evolved into one of the best clubs on traditional 6^th street in Austin, Texas. Make sure to check out upstairs too with the retractable roof, light up dance floor, and great music.

Hosted a club party for my organization here, and I am glad I chose this place. It’s very different from your typical bars on 6^th. This place is more of a lounge/​club. On Sundays they played lots of edm/​trap and that’s my type of music: D Bartenders and management were really nice and fun. I love the atmosphere and vibe here! Clean bathrooms, and awesome trippy décor. So much like New York. Will definitely be coming back!

This. Place. Smells. Like. Vomit. GROSSSSSS. the lights are neon for a reason. The bathrooms smell like swimmong pool and vomit.

I honestly really like this place! I would say it has to do primarily with the fact that they have Bud light Lime, which is my favorite white trash drink no matter what. And because upstairs Loki is one of my absolute favorite DJs in Austin! Honestly, the crowd here isn’t my scene. I think It could be with proper marketing and better bartenders. But LOKI! Makes my night every time I dance here. My friends always want to «bar hop» but I could dance here aaaaallll night and drink my white trash beer until I can only fall down the stairs.

This place is AWESOME! Unlike anything else you will find on 6^th street, they took an old Austin bar and completely revamped it. Some of the best monthly parties I have been to were here (specifically their Gogo competition, Maskerade Ball and Victoria’s Secret party). The new clean build out on the building has really added an upscale feel to the 6^th street scene, without jacking the prices of drinks up or having pretentious service. Great mix of EDM between having a dj on each floor which adds to the fun. Keep it up guys!

One of the best nights in Austin, TX I’ve ever had!!! I’ve partied in Austin before but dreaded the lines and cover charges. No line, no cover charge & a great looking crowd. Amazing!!!
I actually got to go to a club that I wouldn’t otherwise ever go to because I would not ever attempt to wait in line. I thought the walking was going to be the worst part from WEST 6^th to East (dirty) 6TH but we went to clubs that were within blocks of each other. This was good on my feet since I was in heels all night.
To top it all off the host we’re so much fun & the bartenders got us our drinks quickly. They made sure that everyone was having fun.
If it’s your first time in Austin it’s a great place to dance and drink, go to AMPED! There are 2 floors, the first floor is more chill talking kind of area with dancing around 1am, the 2^nd floor is the more rowdy & dancing starts when you get up there. &&& the roof opens up, by far the greatest idea for 6^th street. This will give you the Austin experience everyone always looks for. I had an Epic night.

Seriously: they need some better façade ideas. Whoever «designed» the front has to re-​think that blend-​into-​the-​backgound thinking. You can blink and miss it (and I do, almost every time I’m on 6^th). It’s a corner location, which is great, since you have only one neighbor to compete for attention with. And still Amped manages to blend in. Gah!
On the positive, the music is always great, the bartenders are friendly and quick (oh, and some of them are really not hard on the eyes), and, in general, I leave with a good impression every time.

Great ambiance! Nothing like it on 6^th Street! It’s all brand new with fresh décor and the best sound system on the block. Amped features live bands and incredible DJs. Swing by any night and get some adult beverages from the baddest bar staff on the block! It’s definitely my new favorite…-M–

I usually try to stay away from 6^th street these days, but a friend told me about this place and that it was better/​different than all the normal bars in that district.
I was so happy I ventured down there because it is Awesome!
I don’t make it down to 6^th street much anymore, but if I do go down there it’s going to be because I want to go to Amped. Everything else is just so grimy, but not here, super clean and a lot classier than the other bars around it. Oh, and the roof opens so you can get that outside feeling and dance under the stars! (I love to dance!)
