Chase Bank

Went in to cash a check written to me on an account at this bank. Was treated like a pariah because I don’t have a Chase account (I use UFCU and BB&T). The snippy teller informed me I’d be assessed an $ 8 fee for cashing the check without holding an account. Very uncool. Was looking for a new bank for my very lucrative small business. This will not be it.

I just spent 30 minutes sitting in the lobby trying to open an account, and finally had to leave to get back to work. If it’s that hard to give them a bunch of money I can’t imagine trying more difficult tasks, or even trying to get my money out. They said they were short staffed but it seems like someone could have given me some papers to start filling out. No warm fuzzy feelings here.

I usually stop by at night to deposit stuff. I don’t really enter too much. I have to agree that there’s a sense of discomfort here. It’s a bit too quiet for my liking. Although, the customer service has always been great.

This banking environment is uncomfortable. I been to many banks in many parts of the globe and this bank has the most annoying environment of ANY I have been to. The bank itself, appears clean with the carpet so new, you get high on chemicals walking over it. But that’s not the the issue.
Everyone at this branch seems to be overly fake-​friendly, yet condescending, nasty and effing weird. Their smiles are snears!
It was between the rude, slow clerk or the quicker, rude and nosy clerk… who was it going to be? After being ingratiated by the Manager herself, I continued to stand in line. Finally minutes of standing in line I was sneared at by every person working in that bank. A weird tension pervaded, like they sensed me about to yell «I have a weapon, put the unmarked bills in the bag!»
Nope just trying to make a deposit, still waiting. It wasn’t the wait, it was too unpleasant. I decided to leave. The Manager CHASE-​d me outside to say to me «WhaaaAT?! I SAID „Hello“ to You?!!»
Bottomline: I don’t let psychos or catty 13-​yr-​olds fondle my money.
