I had the grilled cheese sandwich with whole avocado and bacon. It was amazing! I have a mini mouthgasm just thinking about it!

This evening the kids and I truly enjoyed sitting outside in this beautiful weather. I had the Brie and apricot sandwich my daughter had the bacon avocado and tomato sandwich with the delicious tomato basil soup! My son who is not adventurous devoured his cheddar cheese sandwich. The owner was so warm and friendly! We can’t wait to return and try the rest of the menu!

Just visited here for the first time. My 11 year old daughter loves the breakfast taco and I could not be happier with my mozzarella, tomato and basil grilled cheese. Convenient and gooood. Must do.

Holy cheese! This is THE food trailer I’ve been looking for. I loved the Mac n cheese and the Brie with apricot served with an amazing balsamic reduction. This will be my regular lunch place.

Just had the Farmers Favorite breakfast sandwich, and OMG, I wasn’t expecting to love it, but I did! I was taking my dogs on a long walk looping around a few neighborhoods in order to swing past the taco truck on West Gate for some Sunday morning breakfast tacos… Sadly, they were closed(bummer), but the truck that sits on the other side of the lot wasn’t. Thank goodness! I was hesitant, sure, I’m not a grilled cheese breakfast kinda gal, but I was game to check out the menu, and there it was in all it’s yummy glory: the Farmers Favorite: scrambled eggs, applewood bacon, and cheddar on toast. Sounds ‘Meh’ but it’s def not. And it’s not you’re typical NYC baconeggandcheeseonaroll either. It’s in a word: FABTASTIC! such wonderful flavor and it’s all Austin! So happy to have this little place nearby! I’ll be back!

We absolutely loved this little slice of cheesy heaven! It was clean, delicious and the chef was extremely personable. He makes a heck of a great sandwich. I got a grilled cheese with bacon and avacado! My 9 month old wouldn’t let me take a bite without him having some. We love cheesy bistro and will be back often. Favorite food truck now! Thanks

Loved it. Grilled cheese is one of my favorite foods and this place delivered. Not only was the food great but the service was as well. I will be going back for more.

We can walk here from our house, which I love! Both sandwiches that we tried were high quality and delicious. The iced tea was better than the green tea I get fr Starbucks. It was perfect because I like my tea strong and just the right amount of sweet. The people were so friendly and we felt very well taken care of. I recommend trying it out!

This little metal box of goodness on wheels is a goldmine of fantastical cheese wonder. The Cheese Bistro — 5 star dining in a Shell /Pawn Shop /Car wash parking lot at Slaughter and Westgate — will serve up gooey, gleaming, treasure sandwiches that blow your mind. On a whim I took my kiddo there for pre-dinner dinner after our post lunch snack. CB was manned by a single gentleman who immediately handed us fresh squeezed lemonade to make the heat more bearable. The smell of bacon emanates from the window when he opens it to talk to you. I ordered the Texas 2 Step — a Brisket Sandwich smothered in generous amounts of melted cheddar. Kid opted for just a side of a few strips of bacon — Because she’s my awesome little carnivore. If you come when the sun is at the right angle and you can get some shade off those umbrellas, it’s actually kind of a quaint and peaceful little concrete environment; The fact they’re able to provide seating at all is nice. And if you can bear to eat right there when everything comes out fresh and hot, that’s the best way to go, IMO, rather than taking it to go. You don’t want that melted cheese to congeal on a drive. Get it while it’s hot! The brisket is tender, slightly sweet with a hint of bbq sauce flavor. Its nestled in grilled toast and smothered in the perfect portion of drippy gooey melted cheddar cheese. And that’s it. That simple. That perfect. It’s so good. And for the kiddo’s meal: Bacon is bacon is bacon. And this was perfectly cooked bacon. Their menu includes a mozzarella & tomato & basil sandwich, there’s a play on a BLT, and plenty of other creative options(Like Brie & Pear!!! Yes.) I’ll be eating my fill of Cheesy Bistro over the next few weeks before I lose the chance to come back! Give them a try — I really hope this little cheese peddler succeeds!

This place opened up in front of my neighborhood and once I finally mustered up the courage to go try their gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches I wondered why I had waited so long. My boyfriend and I walked up with our dogs and were immediately greeted. The owner was very friendly and offered us both free ice teas after we placed our order. We had decided to split one South Austin BAT and it was incredibly delicious. After we finished we waved goodbye and told him I’d be back to try the rest of the menu. I am super happy to have this new lovely little food trailer in such close proximity!

We ordered the Texas 2step — -good mix of bbq brisket with cheddar cheese(not franklins BBq but still good!), mac and cheese sandwich — super cheesy, the bread toasted with it was the prefect combo, and a regular grilled cheese sandwich with lots of avocado my 6 yr old ordered — he’s a little picky but kept saying he wanted to come back and how good his sandwich was. The bread was toasted and buttered perfectly, the food came with chips and a drink, fresh lemonade and tea with refills. Overall, great experience with fast service. Well be back!

This place rocks!!! Their menu is straight forward and doesnt deviate from what matters, in this case uniquely grilled cheese sandwiches. Everything is worth a try, especially the BAT and PIG. Keep it up.

The wife and I passed this place the other day and were kind of interested so I stopped by today to try it out. After standing there for 5 minutes and realizing no one was there, I started to get in my car. They guy came running over from the gas station, and caught me before I went to the carwash. He seemed unsure if they had any brisket for the«Texas 2 Step» and went in to check. This kind of raised a red flag for me right away, but I proceeded with my order, and went to get my car washed in the meantime. When I came back, he had my food ready to go. He was unable to make change for a $ 20 and gave me back $ 10 even, leaving me unable to leave a tip for him or the carwash guy(who was awesome). Despite the menu saying the sandwich came with a pickle and a bag of chips, I had to confirm that it came with chips and ask for them which made me feel he was going to leave that out, as it turns out they only had 4 bags to their name. The brisket was chopped up, dry, and sparse; clearly either old or not of good quality. The sandwich was absolutely drowned in BBQ sauce, making it extremely messy and difficult to eat. The lemonade was just a lemon squeezed in some water it seemed, nothing special. I ended up ditching a third of my sandwich and declining the multiple offers for a refill on my drink. I will not be returning here for another ten dollars of meh.

I’ve been here twice and have absolutely loved each visit. Daniel is kind and a great server, and he doesn’t skimp in the sandwich department either. I’ve had the South Austin BAT and the Cheesy Pig. Both were absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to try all of the sandwiches here. Oh, did I mention I drive from Kyle as well? Definitely worth it!

Pros: nice guy, great service, nice seating area Cons: solely based on the food I am giving a rating of 2 stars… I tried the B.A.T. and the cheesy pig… They were greasy(which I expected from the cheese), and the ingredients were nothing special… something I could’ve thrown together at home. Lemonade was okay… Everything was edible, I was just expecting something amazing from a new business.

Deeeelicious! I got the South Austin BAT(bacon, avocado, tomato) and my fiancée had the Cheesy Pig(pear, mozzarella, bacon) and they were both so frikin good! AND they have fresh, squeezed lemonade with FREE refills! It’s a small menu but all the choices look mouth-watering. We’re definitely returning to try all of them!

Pros: The Magnificent Mozzarella tastes like a margherita pizza sandwich. Freaking delicious. Cons: No tomato soup! This little food truck is adorable, but it’s easy to miss. It’s in a sleepy location, right at West Gate and Slaughter, in front of the«LASERWASH». Probably not the best location, considering that I’ve never actually seen anyone use that car wash. Anyway, the potted plants and garden tables are cute, and they really make the place look like a little outdoor bistro. The menu has 6 or 7 different grilled cheese options available — none of which is «American cheez on white bread», thankfully. These are the real deal. I thought that $ 7 seemed a little steep for a grilled cheese, but it came with a bag of chips and the sandwich was HUGE — mine came with basil, tomato, and a gigantic hunk of gooey mozzarella. And they didn’t skimp on the basil, which was nice. The tea there is pretty good, too.
