This is kind of one of those places I really wanted to like but just doesn’t stand out as anything special. It’s a chill spot for sure. I enjoy going from time to time. It’s a bar… on the corner! I mean, come on! I’d say the best part is that on Sundays once you have a $ 10 bar tab you can get a free plate from Brown’s BBQ truck out front. Now that is a steal! Alos can be a good place to watch some sports.

Went and had dinner and drinks with my best friend. Very nice outside seating with tables, and out side bar area. We choose to sit inside. We were sat at a boot, I thought the boots were to far apart from the table. The food was excellent. Started off with salmon with point toast and house made bread and butter pickles. Superior. Then I order shrimp and grits. Can only say wow. Could not finish it, had to ask to take it home. The only down side to this was no daily drink specials or happy hour.

One of my most favorite watering holes! The vibe is so good, friendly fun staff! I also love the «rockbot»! We can play anything WE want to hear! I frequent corner bar atleast 3 times a week. Ring toss & good drinks makes for a good night, any night!

Came here for a day drink while I was waiting o go to an appointment across the street. Madison was my bartender and was super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately I came while the keg lines were being cleaned, but I’ll be back next time when I’m in ATX to try the local drafts. Love the Texas Tuesday promotions. Appreciate that state pride!

I met one of my girlfriends to get a beer and catch up. Bartenders were very friendly and they have pretty good beers on draft. Overall, cute bar that met my expectations. :)

The clean smelling Bartender Jaime is the jam. Drinks are cheap. Crowd is real weird, excellent people watching. BBQ trailer is all tasty and junk. And they offer up free yellow salty movie style popcorn if you need a snack. I like that.

Quaint beer bar that was suggested to us by a local bartender. Nice chill laid back vibe with friendly bartenders. Several Local brews on tap to enjoy out on there front patio or inside while you watch the games. They also offer a side patio for a good ol’ game of cornhole among friends. Oh, and Free popcorn is always a plus too :) I totally dig all the paintings displayed throughout the bar too! Almost offered to buy the Willie one. This was a great spot to end the night on.

This is the bar for my various co-​ed sports leagues and thus I’m here many a weekday evening. Great little bar with TVs, affordable drinks/​drink specials, and the best bartenders in town.
There’s an outdoor patio for smokers and gamers (cornhole and Bimini Ring) and you can bring in your own food; highly recommend the taco truck in the Austin Pizza parking lot (they deliver the tacos into the bar).
Not much else to say other than, «cheers!»

Very friendly staff, definitely the neighborhood «cheers» perfect laid back spot for visitors to experience what Austin is actually about! Free popcorn daily. Amazing free BBQ on Sunday’s (when you spend $ 10)

Our group loved the zucchini cornbread & trio of dips (salsa, poblano queso & guac). I also had the short rib tacos (which came with three large ones), and the Corner Marg. It’s a beautiful restaurant, with decent food, but the service was a little slow on a busy night. This is inside the JW Marriott.

Solid bar. It has a great vibe, good drinks and a decent beer selection. The bartenders are on point and get you your drinks quickly. Definitely a place to hit up if your down on south Lamar.
They have darts, corn-​hole and a couple other bar games outside on their patio. They also Browns BBQ in the parking lot which serves up some pretty good food.
They have some TVs in the corner but I wouldn’t say it would be a great place to watch a game. It’s more of a grab a few beers before dinner place.

FREE BBQ! Who doesn’t love free BBQ? With an easy $ 10 tab. The food is good (Sunday’s only) and $ 2 mimosas haaaay! So everyone is happy. Holla atcha girl. I definitely recommend Sunday fun days here.

Can’t believe I forgot to review this place! This bar is at the intersection in which my hubs and I cross lamar on our adventurous walkabouts, (we never drink and drive), to go from horseshoe (rip), to Gibson, waaaay on down. Corner has a great bathroom, the bartenders don’t mind if you ask for water with your drink, and a lot of times they have beer and shot specials. I’ve never been in a way that’s like «yes we are meeting Craig and Amy at Corner Bar», but it’s a great in between. Now that horseshoe is closed and highball has reopened, we may rethink our route but I’ll let u know :)

Lots of drink choices. Full bar. Usually have good specials. Staff is nice. It’s a small place and not by many other places, but if you’re close its a good spot. Also they have free popcorn! Thanks Corner Bar! BBQ place out front is awesome too!

The one thing I loved about this place was that if you didn’t sit at the bar, there is a particular place to order at the bar so that you don’t have to fight your way to the bar if they’re busy.
It was very quiet for a Saturday I felt, but still a cute place. Everyone was friendly and they have an outdoor deck, and the inside opens up to the outside, so anywhere you sit its a cool atmosphere. Drink prices were okay, and they have Strongbow Cider-​SCORE!
I’ll definitely have to check it out again on a different night.

There isn’t anything outstanding or amazing about this place. It’s a small bar with a small patio but, a good location so I am sure they get plenty of traffic.
We came in between lunch and dinner for one drink before heading home. I feel like this is what this place is for me, one last drink stop before heading home.
The bartenders are friendly and pour atiff drinks if you are getting a whiskey and coke, tequila and sprite or something of that nature. I had a margarita and it was so sour I had to ask for a small glass of soda and another shot to make it good. On the bright aide they do hace Espolon tequila which I love.
They do have an amazing food truck outside. Parking can be a nightmare since they only have about 7 spots in their parking lot.
Not a place I would go out of my way to go to.

Corner Bar is WAKA kickball’s official bar this year (or something like that. I don’t read the fine print, I just go drink), so I often times find myself here on a Wednesday night. While I do tend to regret the visit on Thursday mornings, by the time my eyes open all the way and my head stops hurting, I am remembering all of the fun times I had. The drink specials are good ($ 3 fireball), and the mixed drinks are strong. The service is always friendly as well.
Bonus: If you come on Wednesday, you get to be surrounded by a bunch of over-​hyped, sweaty kickball players!
