E.A.T. East Austin Trailer Park & Eatery

E.A.T., or the East Austin Trailer Park & Eatery, had its grand opening on June 5^th, 2010. It opened with much fanfare, managing to get plugged in the Chronicle as well as on the websites Austinist and Thrillist. I wish I had been able to make it, because I haven’t seen a single one of their little trailers open since then. I have dropped by at all hours of the day and on many different days of the week, but no luck. I have seen the trailers come and go, so it seems that some of the vendors are using it as a parking space/​storage location for their trailers while they are closed, but they move elsewhere to actually sell their food. It’s a shame because I was interested in trying some of the food that is supposed to be there, such as the Upscale Slider Guys, A Little Dippy Doughnut Company, and Beso de Luna. As a food destination, the place is a flop.
