I’ve been seeing Jackie for the past couple of years. She does a great perm and I recently started doing color with her. My mom owned a salon and Jackie is the only person I would trust with my hair. She’s been doing hair for a long time and knows what she’s doing. She asks you what you want and then lets you know if it is going to work for you. It’s a laid back atmosphere, no snotty hair dressers who think they are«it». If you want a great cut, color, or perm go see Jackie.

Stylists are friendly. I wish they would find someone that was better at waxes though.

I have been a regular customer of this location for nearly a year and a half. My last 2 attempted visits have been unfortunate. About a month ago I stopped by about 10 minutes before closing and was told that they were already closed and could not cut my hair that day. They all appeared to be busy helping customers so I didn’t make a big deal of it. I can understand them not taking any walk-ins if they are already booked up to work beyond closing hours. Today I once again attempted to get my hair cut. It was 6:45pm and the open sign was still lit up. When I walked in one of the hairstylists was sweeping and the other greeted me at the counter. I was once again politely told that they were closed. THEOPENSIGNWASONANDTHEIRHOURSSTATEONTHEFRONTDOORTHATTHEYAREOPENUNTIL7:00PM! This time they were not helping any customers. They clearly just didn’t want my business. The stylist at the counter told me that despite the hours listed on the door they always close up 10 minutes before 7:00pm. When I pointed out that it was 15 minutes before closing she changed her story and said they always close 15 minutes before 7:00pm. I only required a basic men’s haircut. Short on the sides and just long enough on top to make it messy. It LITERALLY takes 15 minutes to cut my hair. I am sorry that I showed up just before closing. My work hours make it very difficult to get to Fantastic Sam’s before 7:00pm. Regardless, my haircut could have been finished by closing with ease. And had it been only a couple of minutes before closing I wouldn’t have even bothered to walk in because, I understand wanting to get home at the end of a long day. Fortunately, I was able to drive just down the road to «Hair Nook». They are in the old«Take5» location on Parmer Ln. I was in and out in no time. Renee did a great job on my hair and was very pleasant. I will NEVER go to Fantastic Sam’s again! And you can bet that if anyone asks me where is good place to get a haircut, I will tell them that anywhere is better than Fantastic Sam’s!!!

At this location, I have gotten the best hair cuts, and service for a reasonable price. I went in, one day and told the stylist Jackie to do whatever she wants. I ended up with the most beautiful asymmetric cut, that worked wonderfully with my super fine, curly hair. I love this place! Jackie is awesome!

I got a good haircut here and the woman who cut my hair was friendly. With the Unilocal coupon it was about $ 17 for a haircut, plus tip. I was glad I went here and will probably go back in the future!

I don’t think you can find a better place to get your hair cut for the price. I walked in and ended up having Cherri cut my hair. I showed her a few pictures of what I wanted and she completely nailed it. She took her time and made sure I was happy with the cut before sending me on my way. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a good, affordable cut!

At one time I went to this salon on a regular basis and was always satisifed with the cut and style. My last visit was a disaster. I took whoever was available since I was a walk in, and regret my decision. I asked for a layer cut and do not take any off the ends since I’m trying to figure out what style I want to settle on. When I finished, my overall hair was much shorter and the layers looked like a weed eater got hold of it. I told the stylist my disappointment and frustration and asked what part of not taking off too much did she not understand. Guess this is what I get for trying a walk in and using some stranger. Never again, Kathy Brown

Can’t really go wrong at this Fantastic Sam’s location. It’s typically a quick in-and-out experience and I’ve never left dissatisfied with my haircut. The stylists there are all professional and have good suggestions for me. Today I was debating doing something drastic and cutting off a large amount of my hair and the stylist(Cheryl?) was quick to talk me out of it, saying I had a good head of hair and maybe I should wait until summer to go really short. There are certainly better overall experiences for getting a haircut in the city – places that will give you a free massage or hot towel or face you towards a TV with sports, but for a decent no-frills experience I am happy coming here.

First time I been to this place was Wednesday 02⁄04 it’s clean, and Ms Jackie cut my hair and she’s so awesome. I felt that she knows what she was talking about and she did a great job. She listen to me what I wanted and now I know who will be doing my hair next time Ms Jackie! Thank you for the great haircut!

I’ve been trying to find someone who can do pixie cuts and I called Fantastic Sam’s and asked if there’s someone who has experience cutting them. Jackie said yes and to come on in. Fifteen minutues later Jackie is asking me all the right questions and making me feel very comfortable. Within minutes of her starting I knew it was going to come out perfect and it did. I recommend her to anyone that goes here. I will definitely be back!

Walking into this salon, the first thing I notice is how clean, bright and tidy this store is. The stylists are cutting hair like mad and the floors are spotless! Robin greets me with a big smile and invites me to have a seat in her chair. She listens to everything I say as I describe the look I’m trying to achieve. Then she examines my head of hair and makes some suggestions and then we are off to the shampoo bowl. Their line of products have a herbal scent and the entire experience is nothing short of heavenly. Robin then added product to my hair and started cutting. She is focused entirely on the job at hand and the end result was simply«fantastic» ! This salon is a gem and I’m so happy to have found it. Couldn’t be happier!

Not usually a fan of chain hair salons but I stopped in today and got a great cut from Jeff. He listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. His attention to detail was excellent. Definitely will return!

I had my hair cut today by Kim Marie. I was nervous about going to Fantastic Sams since I wasn’t sure if it was more of a place for men to get their hair cuts(it’s my husband’s regular place). But Kim Marie definitely proved me wrong and did an excellent job. She really listened to what I wanted — and she did a better job than my last hair cut with a high-priced salon! And we had a nice conversation too :) I never got bored and got a long hair shampoo, cut, and style for under $ 45 including tip!

I have been here several times to get my daughters a haircut. They are great with the girls and do a good job with their hair. After going to fancy salons and paying top dollar for my own hair I decided to give them a shot. I’m so picky with my hair and I hate getting cuts as they never listen when I tell them I have curly hair and it should be cut for straight and curly styles. Robin at Fantastic Sam’s listened to me and cut my hair exactly as I asked. I was thrilled and I loved the haircut. Plus, it was so very affordable that I think the fancy salons that smell like hair dye can kiss this wig goodbye! Ill be back to Sam’s soon! Kudos Robin, you rock!

Got a cut from Jackie earlier today. I’ve put off having my hair done for months, due to not having enough for a salon cut and having never had a cut at one of these 20 $ places end up in anything but tears. Jackie took care of me right away, and gave me one of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten. She really took the time to ask the right questions about how my hair sits, how it waves, and came up with a great cut that is going to be a breeze to maintain. I’ll be back, for sure.

I stopped by today to get a trim and try a little something new with my bangs, I immediately was noticed when I walked in, seated, and on my way to a cut. Kim took her time to listen to what I was interested in, discuss it with me so I knew we were on the same level, and get to work. I have never seen a hairdresser work so unhurried, she checked to make sure everything was even constantly, then after the cut was done I wanted things a little shorter in the front and she happily changed it and made it look awesome. I got the exact cut I wanted, with casual conversation and a relaxed atmosphere. I will happily return on my next needed trim! Oh! And you really can’t beat 20 $ for a shampoo and stylish cut :)

Got an excellent cut with Jackie, who was fun and very amicable. She gave me a good mix of what I needed(which was to chop off enough hair to make it healthy again) and what I wanted(to maintain my long locks). My hair looks amazing now — needless to say, I’ll be back again!

Can I just say they are magic workers on tangled tresses. I should know because I went in there with some gnarly hair, and came out looking like a million bucks! My stylist Christina was amazing! I had over long hair with huge amounts of breakage from over processing in the past. My expectations were low knowing how badly I had damaged my hair(hey it was for my wedding totally worth it) She convinced me to put in some layers, which are usually a no-no for me and rarely look good… BOY was that the right thing!!! She could have played it safe with the blunt cut I thought I wanted, but my hair just wouldn’t be this amazing! I went in looking like a sad frumpy house-frau and came out looking cute again, so cute my husband is insisting on a date night tonight ;) This may seem over the top to some… but it amazing what a good haircut can do for a girl! I was super excited when I found out that she has been there for 2 years, and had no plans to change that… I know where I’m going for hair from now until forever!(Or until I move again) next time, keratin treatment and highlights!
