Big outdoor area. Inside has about three sort of sectioned off big lounge areas for multiple groups to chill. Seating is mostly long, firm divans(like backless couches) against the wall with lots of pillows. Great for laying across on less busy days. Staff is very attentive, walking around checking on and changing coals. Lots of different, sweet flavors. BYOB, just check them in at the front. A very accommodating lounge, and super chill!

I love this place the prices are consistent and hookahs are reasonably priced 15 bucks for flavor of the night and 18 for any other and 2 more dollars for an ice hose I believe. I miss this place since moving to Houston !

Kasbah is a great hookah lounge! It is two stories with outdoor seating. I recommend sitting on the second floor on their patio with a view of the drag. I was an employee here for a short while and I promise you the staff is absolutely amazing. The employees are chill but are very attentive and not to mention are ALWAYS on their toes checking on customers or finding a task to do. The coals are replaced promptly and the price is not bad. I love getting a mix of something that is both minty and fruity and usually let the employee play with the flavor. However, if it is you first time coming you can never go wrong with Blue Myst! Keep in mind that it gets packed on the weekends!

Total waste of money. I was excited to come here for y birthday until I paid over $ 20 to sit in a room that smelt like piss with a hookah that barely smoked or had flavor and be ignored and given attitude by staff. I’m sticking to Austin Hookah Lounge which has far better prices, quality and staff.

I’ve been coming here for 3 years now and I don’t smoke hookah anywhere else. I even drive all the way down from round rock. That’s how much I like this place. The staff are always attentive and helpful with what ever you need. Coals are always replaced promptly and the price is just right. I also recommend the Moroccan mint tea if you want to add to the experience.

Great place to do some last minute studying for that accounting exam. Inviting atmosphere, cordial and knowledgeable staff, and clean amenities. Shisha is very high quality and has a smooth and refreshing taste. Kasbah’s plethora of endless flavor options makes this place the premier must revisit destination on the Drag. Only a 10 minute walk from the UT campus. Make sure to select the flavor of the night to get $ 2 off.

Great customer service! All the employees come and check on the customers very often making sure everything is okay and replacing the hot coals. I have the pleasure to be from Houston. Home of the shisha cafes so I have had my experiences with these types of places and this is the best it gets in Austin. I do have to say, I do not suggest this place for families. It is more of a place to hang out with friends as the majority of customers are ACC and UT students. That is what makes it different from the Houston cafes. It is not family oriented and there is no food(besides the snacks). Ordering a pot of Tea is a must. The tobacco used in the shisha is very high quality and they now accept credit cards. The music can get a little loud but its a nice variety and the atmosphere is great. Give it a try, it’s a blast in saturday night because of how busy it gets. I just wish they would fix the lock on the woman’s bathroom.

Great customer service! They took care of us when we were complaining about our shisha tasting burnt early on. Kasbah has a nice atmosphere with good vibes everywhere, definitely my go to hookah bar over the sub par Arab Cowboy. I also love that they have happy hour on the weekends.

kasbah is a great place to do hookah with friends. staff is really friendly. once, we tried a new flavor they suggested and didn’t like it at all. they had no problem changing the flavor at no cost for us. it’s a good place for a good time. we love that it is really close to campus. walking from and to west campus is no problem. we don’t sit inside though because the building is old and upstairs can get a bit too hot. but the outdoor seating is nice. we think the staff changed recently because the most recent times we have been there, we noticed that more staff was walking around ready to help. we decided to write a review because the staff had no problem changing the flavor for us when we were disappointed. thank you!

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and smooooth hookah. The white gummy bear and mango flavor we got was the best yet. The vibe was trill; I would definitely come here again next time I’m in town. On another note, I would suggest the sitting areas and tables to be more clean though; I was afraid to touch anything more than necessary. Also there’s no real food or desserts so eat beforehand.

My friends and I came here and was interested in sitting upstairs but noticed the sign that says, «Employees only, ask about upstairs seating». I asked if we could please sit upstairs and was told, «No. We have a guy up there that tips a shit load so only if you have a lot of money» Wow what great customer service, I guess that’s what happens when you let a bunch of kids run a hookah lounge.

Walked up the counter to get some coffee while waiting for a friend before smoking hookah. Asked the guy behind the counter if they made Americanos. He said«no.» Looked next to him at the espresso machine and said, «isn’t that an espresso machine?» He said«yes.» At which point I said, «in that case you probably make Americanos.» He looked me in the eye like I was totally ruining his counter time by actually engaging him in conversation and he shrugged and said«I don’t fucking know.» Then asked if they had decaf espresso. No. Decaf coffee? No. He didn’t offer any alternatives. He asked if I had hookah already and when I responded I didn’t, he didn’t offer any, just looked away. Struck me as kind of a jerk. Hookah was alright but the music was way loud. Also there were holes in my chair outside. Convenient location but terrible service, overpriced, and messy grungy atmosphere. Not coming back any time soon.

Kasbah has been a place that I have frequented over my years at UT and it is a great outdoor atmosphere for smoking hookah. It is great for large groups and Allah is very nice and accommodating for large groups. They typically have $ 15 specials of the night and they will sometimes give you an ice house upgrade for free. The one downside to this place is that it can get very busy sometimes, making it hard to get your coals replenished in a timely manner.

Kasbah is rustic which gives it a laid back kind of feel, the staff were nothing but friendly and accommodating to me and my friends. $ 2 for a cork fee(highly reasonable), cash only(but there’s an ATM inside) overall pricing is reasonable(for me, it is). had a blast and even had fun meeting and conversing with a few of the patrons. preppy, hippie or whatsoever if you’re pleasant most people would be too, all this on a busy Friday night. had an awesome and enjoyable experience and definitely will be coming back.

Been going to Kasbah since I was a senior in high school. I still like to smoke shisha, so I thought I’d head back and see if it was still the same. Décor, same. Service, good for the amount of traffic they get. Got two flavors throughout the night and both gave a decent buzz. The major downside to this trip was, well, everyone there. I know it’s on campus but oh my goddddd, the crowd was so young and hip I could practically smell their youth and could hear fucking Imagine Dragons songs buzzing inside their burnt orange heads. Yeah Kasbah is good for people watching, if you want to see a) members of Greek life in their neon tanks, fanny packs, and Sperrys parading by every 5 mins, b) watch hot shots in Dodge Chargers speed down the Drag, or c) see more flowy tops, strappy sandals, and satchel bags than all of Urban’s inventory COMBINED. I’m being harsh. Shisha was decent. Kinda overpriced, but whatever. Would have enjoyed it better earlier on a weeknight or at least not in a Friday before game day.

After my previous review, the owner reached out to apologize for our experience and offered a free hookah to compensate if we’d come give it another shot. We decided to give it a try. We went in to order our free hookah and also bought two lattes, but the guy at the counter said the owner wasn’t there and he could not reach him to verify. So he said he would«compromise» with us and give it to us at half price. While our experience was better than last time(which I rated quite poorly), the additional service anomaly did not prompt a change in overall rating.

Horrible customer service. We had to wait about fifteen minutes for the cashier to stop flirting so he could seat us. Overpriced for broken Hookahs. My hose wasn’t attached correctly and when I asked about it the guy said«You dont know how to smoke it.» *excuse me* I’ve been smoking for years. The place is dirty, you might catch something if you sit down on the mats. Mud all over the place, employees were too busy flirting. Darband off Anderson Mill is amazing. I went ahead and gave it two stars because the owner contacted me and seemed very concerned about my experience, I thought that was a nice gesture.

My friends and I always seem to end up here when there’s nothing to do. I don’t know why. One of the waiters is this skinny white guy. I hate that guy. He’s too damn rowdy and acts like he’s a boss. I’m like yo why are you shouting so much. Stop your shouting. He’s also really terrible at bringing you coals, super slow. The selection of tobacco is pretty good, they have anything that I’ve ever really wanted. They also offer ice hoses for $ 2. There are some pretty comfortable couches inside, but it’s hard to get seating inside during weekend nights. They play good music sometimes, or they play Pitbull. I hate Pitbull. During peak hours, they’ll use quick light coals to speed up the process, but they make your tobacco taste like crap, which really pisses me off. You can ask them for Coco Naaras, but they will take a while to get out. One time, this stupid girl threw up at my feet, and got some of her nasty on my nice shoes, so I was pissed, right? But then they replaced our hookah for free, which was dope. I hate Pitbull and that skinny white guy.

Still love this place. Sami is awesome. New kid with the curly brown hair making the hookahs is nice. Allah is doing what he does best. lol Only –1 star because of the smaller glass for the Iced Chai… it was maybe 12oz instead of 20… I’m not sure… but it was Tiinnyyy : p Anyway. Keep up the great work!
