Lakeline H-E-B Plus!

Super huge store… so many choices its almost overwhelming, but that’s a good thing. I actually shop at another location, but coming here did not fail me when I knew the larger selection would get me what I needed (since my regular location was out)
*note* I am bias as well, because I really do appreciate the HEB brands that taste so great and are very affordable. The meat selections are superb, along with the seafood.

Very nice! Better selection (at least much more shelf space) for gluten free than many other HEBs.
Just wish there was a map to help shoppers get back from the store to their car (which after adding those extra items not on the list, you cannot locate…).
Tip – when coming from N 183 make a U turn at Lakeline Blvd and then turn RIGHT into the center; trying to turn left off of Lakeline is truly not possible at 4:30 on a Friday.

The cashier didn’t bag my groceries, explaining you don’t get a bagger in the Express lanes. He did point out that he put a sticker on my water, tho. After standing there watching me bag my own groceries, which held up the line because I didn’t realize I had to do it myself until the transaction was complete, he had the nerve to ask me if I needed any help out. Poor service, HEB! I hope this isn’t a new policy.

I love this HEB! The staff is so friendly, courteous and helpful. They always have just about everything I need. I wish they would carry Veganaise here, but other than that I cannot find one fault with the store.
The produce ladies are great with their helpful tips. I have bought a lot of yummy guacamole and fresh squeezed orange juice from this HEB (not items I had any intention of buying) because of their very generous and irresistable samples.
So lucky to have this store as close as it is to me. If you have a choice of stores and this one pops up on a map of stores near you, do not miss the opportunity to shop here at this terrific HEB!

The store is gorgeous. However, last time I went, I couldn’t find one piece of gingerroot that was not moldy. A sales associate was very nice and came to confirm that fact. Unfortunately, it was probably a bad shipment and there was no other gingerroot in the store for me. Oh well !

This H-​E-​B Plus is quite wonderful. Its huge, new, has great staff and its just so convenient. Nearby are lighted gas pumps, few stores (e.g., Michael’s, Starbucks, Stein Mart, down the street from Lakeline Mall & a Barnes & Nobles and a new ALAMO DRAFTHOUSE).
I can be biased since they are sponsors of the «Former but soon to be again– World Champ Spurs.»
Aside from the many things here; Terrific Staff (I’ll update in the future), just wanted to point out a few neat things.

Out of my favorite things like movies, basketball, long walks on the beach, great deals, and the shooting range… I love to order fresh cut deli-​meat.
1. Take a #
2. Browse the meats or cheese/​can request sample
3. Make your request (meat type/​quanity (e.g., half a lb) and how thick the cut. I love it at 1.5″.
4. Run away happily
*Tip order half a pound of 2 different meats per visit to begin venturing out. The boars head pastrami is bomb along with the newly discovered «In-​House Turkey Breast Provencal». Freaking thanksgiving with more impact and flavor! No need for the gravy, so wonderful.

When I moved here a few months ago, it was ok. But now its getting so comprehensive! Various selections of noodles, sauces, and such.

«House Foods’ Curry House Sauce»!!
Ok, so its a big deal. Its like when Salt Lick and Panda Express began selling their sauces to stores. Its such a fantastic brand/​franchise.
Background:
So Curry House CoCo Ichibanya is a top curry rice restaurant in Japan and they opened a few locations in LA’s Koreatown, Little Tokyo along with some other SoCal spots. Its really fantastic. I had the curry plates on a few occasions there among other competitors and so its the real deal.
*I was so so lucky to find out they are distributing their stuff now!

Oh, baby, I love it when you talk like that.
In summary: Just finished 2 large bowls from 1 packet at home. No powder, just pour the sauce into about ¼−1/3 boiling water for 5 mins and throw in your rice. Wow. I’m so glad I don’t need to search for it in the restaurants here anymore. 1. Because they suck, 2. Overpriced. I don’t need to take a gamble on my health at the Asian Supermarket where god knows what they expiration dates are/​what kind of brand you’re dealing with.
«Authenticity»? If I find out its from China I might flip. And forget the plane ticket. They’re doing something special with the Japanese curry houses on the West Coast in the good ol’ USA right now and I’m so glad I found a piece of Heaven at my Local H-​E-​B.

Less worry, and more Curry folks.

This is our go to grocery store. This is the store we shop at when we have a full list of groceries. The meat and produce is always good. Their beer selection is usually very good also. My only complaint is that they have begun to carry more of their own HEB products and slowly pushing out the name brands on more and more items. Some if the HEB products are good, but some of them don’t compare to the national brands. It is a shame when I can’t find the name brand in a product. Overall a really good grocery store.

This is a great big new store. Has a lot of extra things besides food. Toys section is good and there is an electronics section as well. Only beef I got was my 2 year old got done wrong on the buddy bucks! Lol see photo.

In all honesty, I love HEB. Better than Wal-​Mart, Randall’s and Kroger’s ever was.
But this location is just TOO BIG. My goodness. It is hard to navigate and heaven forbid you go on the weekend because so does everyone else in Cedar Park.
I would says it’s miserable to try and navigate to get to what you need. Because of the layout, there seems to be no certain direction everyone should go. It’s a free for all.
Still love you HEB — just love your Anderson Mill location better ;)

Outstanding produce department.
Outstanding fish department.
Outstanding meat department.
Everything you need under one roof. And you can eat lunch here :)

When checking out the weekly sales flyer, my HEB sometimes doesn’t have the same sales as other stores. Actually each HEB can change their front page price grabbers from the corporate suggestions. So when I saw Coho Salmon on sales but my HEB had only Atlantic salmon. I went to this HEB.
Compared to my regular HEB, this one is huge. So huge, it took me ten minutes to get to the other side. The layout is the same as other HEB Super Stores. Maybe I am old fashion and prefer grocery stores to be just grocery store.
The employees I noticed were smiling and happy, but they were only conversing with other employees.
I will come back here again when they have items on sales that my HEB doesn’t. Otherwise, I will stick to my HEB down the road.

Grosser Supermarkt direkt am Autozubringer ins Downtown von Austin. Riesen Angebot nicht nur für den Haushalt. E Bediente Metzgerei zusätzlich zur Selbstbedienung. Apotheke ist auch vorhanden. Riesiger Parkplatz vorhanden mit eigener Tankstelle zum günstig zu tanken. War schon oft hier. Immer wieder gerne!

Its too big, I’m anxious going through this place, its too spread out. I think their prices are higher than their 4 points HEB, it must be because they have a much higher A/​C bill. Stop building this megastore crap, why must we expect excessiveness? Overall, yes nice store, but its a bit much.

Hands down, this is the best grocery store EVER! I am new to Texas and the whole HEB experience. After visiting this HEB several times, all i can say is that for everyone without a local HEB is truly missing out!
HEB is awesome for several reasons. here’s my list of coolness:
1. Great prices! The prices are very reasonable and fair. Plus the coupons around the store are usually fantastic and always seem to be on items I was going to get anyway. i do love a good freebie!
2. Great selection! This store is huge and has everything! If you need it, chances are this HEB has it! I have found everything i wanted and more each time I have stopped in.
3. The deli is great! The deli is huge, has a great selection of meats and cheeses! And has a tortilleria attached to it! Yes, fresh made tortillas are made right in front of you. Yum!
4. Everyone is so friendly and happy. Everyone must be drinking happy juice before their shift because they are all smiling and really seem happy to be there. Great customer service FTW!
I could write a novel about how cool this store is, but i will wrap it up now. I can say without a doubt, I love being able to shop at this HEB!

There is always a method to the madness and I found the method to beat the madness. Yes, parking here sucks but I have figured out a system to lessen my «wow this parking sucks» issue. Getting out of here still posses a challenge. I am totally against going the opposite direction to get away from the hectic and anxiety induced maze. So I just take a deep breath and weave out of the maze.
However, the store itself — AWESOME! The layout is perfect and they do offer a lot more selections than other HEBs I frequented.
As an example, you know the awesome «cooked in house Central Market Roast Beef and Turkey» Central Market sells? Well your drive to Central or South Austin to buy this food is no longer necessary. This HEB sells it! If you’ve never tried the Central Market Roast beef –give yourself a V-​8 pop on the forehead for being left out of something so amazing. You’ll never default to the Boar’s Head, HEB, HCF brands again.
I finally trained myself to bring bags — this comes after buying them over and over again for a long period of time. I probably have 50+ bags now. As a Cedar Park resident I had to learn to unpack and throw back into car so I would have to buy more.
I love this store so I do drive further to have a better experience (that is once I’m out of the crazy parking chaos).

This HEB is bigger and shinier than most HEB stores, but shopping here makes me so, so angry. How angry? Impotent Unilocal rage 1-​star tantrum review angry. For such a great store, this store really sucks.
Accessing this store is a cruel joke, especially if you make the rookie mistake of trying to make a left turn from Lakeline Boulevard. This section of road features a bizarre combination of traffic flow, oddly-​timed lights, and old fashioned congestion that makes getting into the parking lot a nightmare of futility and frustration. Now that I am a veteran of this exercise in sadistic traffic planning, I know the top secret way to enter the shopping center from the 183 access road.
This is negative review, so I am contractually obligated to complain about one to two more things.
Next, this location features an unacceptably low number of «kids» shopping carts. Now, all you cool people who were smart enough to stay childless and wealthy may not understand. When you are shopping with a couple of toddlers, said toddlers really like to ride in special shopping carts. This is no problem in like… every other HEB on the planet. However, I’ve never once seen a modified kids cart available here.
The amount of «family» carts is inadequate for a store this size, and it’s frustrating to start a shopping trip off by telling the kids that they have to jam into the boring metal cart together.
Finally, this location features the most annoying refrigerated beer cases in the world. In theory, we all hold hands and the whales and salamanders thrive because HEB didn’t waste lighting on beer coolers that nobody is looking at. The lights only turn on when a customer is there. In practice, the stupid lights don’t turn. I just want to see the expensive craft brews that I am supposed to be buying. That’s not too much to ask.
In summary, this is a big, fancy HEB with traffic like a Delhi rush hour. You will be so, so mad that all the great stuff that HEB sells will just barely make it ok.

Well, golly-​gee-​willikers, this place sure is big!
I just started my new job this week, which happens to be right down the street from this HEB. On my lunch break, I drove around, looking to see what was in the area. Seeing the «HEB Plus!» sign made me pull in, because I figured buying something from the grocery store was probably slightly healthier than hitting up one of the restaurants.
Upon walking in, my ADHD-​riddled self was like «Ooooh, shiny! What’s that smell? SQUIRREL!» I went from the café to the produce, to the little cooking demo area, over to the artisan cheese area, browsed the beers, and surprisingly kept myself from buying a 6-​pack. (I’m guessing that would have been frowned upon at the new job.) And then, low and behold, there was a freakin’ electronics section right there in the dang ol’ grocery store! What what what!!!
After the shiny TVs distraction, I headed on over to the pharmacy area, and picked me up some allergy medication. (Death to cedar!) From there, I swung back over to the grocery side and grabbed me some hatch chile hummus and pita chips, some juice, and then rang myself up and headed on out. My distracted self spent 30 minutes just walking around in there, so I had to inhale my food. Whoops!
So clean, so pretty, and not particularly busy. I’m guessing I’ll be here often. Yay, fancy-​pants HEB!

At the same time my son got a flu shot!
The store is always crowded… The parking lot is hard to get in and out of… The plaza around the store has lots of great eating options and a Starbucks!

Whatever you believe in, it’s pretty remarkable that we have these amazing HEB’s available to us and other people don’t have shit.
