Convenient for getting together with friends for beers after work if you work in that area or live north-ish. They don’t serve food. You can order food from Schlotzky’s or the pizza place next door by calling them(you might have to step outside because it gets noisy inside sometimes). Not the kind of place to get a cheap appetizer or anything like that, but for straight-up beers etc, they have a decent selection. The waitstaff are friendly and pretty fast about service most of the time.

I was informed by my waitress that the bartenders couldn’t make me an Old Fashioned because they were«too busy». That’s a first.

Checked out the new little Woodrow in tech ridge and service was great. ILLIANA was sweet and attentive. The place was roomy and lots of TV for the games. Like that I have a new place in the hood to go to.

Not really a fan, but since it’s close to my office, I can swing on over for the occasional happy hour romp, and shoot some pool on the small sized table. For some reason they had all the doors open in the place, the giant outside seating was open as well on the right hand side, but it was super hot inside… made no sense. posted up outside, waitress was prompt and on point, beer list is never updated on the menu itself. which is a huge pain! Somewhat dirty inside, could use a cleaning, I know I’m not at the Four Seasons, people… but you could clean every once in a while, especially being near a ton of corporate parks… This location, can we use the word Dank???

Staff is friendly, different games to keep your party entertained(shuffleboard-although there’s only 1 table, foosball, 1 dart board, bar jenga, pool table, tvs everywhere). The patio is fairly large and easily accessible. There’s garage doors that open up to it. Drinks are cheep. During the summer they set up a band on the patio and the place gets packed.

Service here is hit-or-miss. Sometimes staff is friendly, other times not. I went in recently and asked about their $ 6 Old Fashioned which is advertised on their website for the month of NOV and I politely asked about it and the bartender told me «No buddy, that was LAST month!» So, I ordered a beer and she came back and tossed my change on the counter and said, «Here you are, buddy» and walked off. To rephrase Donald Trump, she had blood coming out of her eyes and she had blood coming out of… wherever and was a bit off-base. I only stayed for one drink before the rabid bartender could return. Maybe she’s usually okay, but I think it was an «off-night» for her.

Their good beer selection and close proximity to my house is about the only reason I used to go to this LW’s. The reason I will not return is simple: the bartenders are not friendly and rarely do they smile. I’ve seen some of the wait staff working the tables act friendly, but not the bartenders. If I’m going to spend about $ 5 per beer and tip a dollar with each beer, I expect my bartender to be nice. There are many other places to go in NW Austin with friendly staff.

This was our happy hour spot when I worked near 183 and Mcneil. This might be the most average spot I have been too. There’s really nothing that stands out and the lack of in-house food kinda made me dread coming here. I’m the kind of person who needs some food when I’m drinking, or pretty much doing anything. Food just makes everything better, you know? If you want to eat, you can order pizza from the place next door but I recall that being expensive when I just want some appetizer item to munch on. Now when I say average I mean average. I don’t recall any bad service here but it’s not great either. It’s just at that point where you need your drink refilled but no one is there but not waiting long enough to get bad that no one is coming to refill.just.average.

Solid 3-star neighborhood watering hole. Tons of beer on tap, however, you’re better off ordering a bottle here. The glass washing technique leaves a slightly detergent taste on all of the drafts. Order pizza and subs next door and they will deliver it to your seat. That’s kinda cool.

Okay, so this place is literally 2 minutes away from my office. That makes it the perfect place to go to drown my sorrows and work stress away. The bartenders are nice, the servers are quick and friendly. There’s a pizza place next door that delivers right to your table or wherever you’re sitting at the bar. There’s a nice outdoor area with plenty of seating. They have fans and mist machines outside, that work most of the time. This is a great happy hour spot.

Less than a 5-minute drive from our house, this is what one is referring to by «neighborhood bar.» We arrived shortly after 5, and were pleased to see a sizable number of people were already in happy hour mode. We grabbed a table outside on the patio adorned with misters to keep the summer heat at bay. Among the Friday specials on offer was their Woody, a frozen concoction made with Tang, that orange-flavored drink powder that accompanied Astronauts on their missions to space. The added bonus was that its taste was of tropical mango goodness. A word of caution about these cocktails: imbibing these too quickly may very well result in a case of brain freeze. Menus from the establishment next door are placed on the tables, allowing you to call in your order for pizzas, subs, wings, home made spinach artichoke dip, and the like. Deliveries arrive at your table shortly after the order is placed. The shopping center itself is home to a wide variety of pretty stellar businesses, and the vibe of Little Woodrow’s only adds to its appeal.

By far the worst bar in Austin, and I’ve been to almost all of them. Never once did a server visit our table. You have to call a neighboring restaurant on your phone and have food delivered to you, and pay a delivery fee even though they are next door. Even ordering at the bar, I ordered a couple draft beers and stood there for 20 minutes to get my drinks while«bros» waltzed right up and the barmaid flirted and immediately made them buckets of beer. I’m a woman, I tip 25% or more regardless of your chest size. Please don’t ignore me. We moved to the patio because the sports TV broadcasts were blasted so loud that we were yelling and not hearing each other. No servers on the patio, either! Two dog fights later, and many trips to the bar, I decided to play some songs on the jukebox. Minimum you can order was 12 songs – a lot of money! I requested 3 of my 12 credits. A few seconds into the song I requested, a barmaid went up to the jukebox and made her own playlist, canceling previous songs, so I didn’t hear the overpriced song I’d payed for. We bought plenty of drinks(me picking them up in bulk at the bar because severs were nonexistent) and I wasted $ 5 on the jukebox and $ 4 on a «delivery fee» from their menu delivered from next door. I knew I was in deep, and I felt like a sucker that I’d wasted so much time and money in that bar. My friend had only been able to get one beer after trying to flag down servers all night. She finally asked one woman(in a 10-minute discussion with some bros) to help her close out her tab. The server said she’d bring her a check. We waited 20 minutes, no check, so we all three helped her flag down a bartender inside. The barkeep was the same server to whom she had asked for the check outside. She did not say a word, just slapped the check into a beer puddle on the bar. Pros: mediocre-to-decent selection of beer, like most bars in the city Cons: No good drink deals, ABSENT servers, rude service, NOFOOD, all jukebox songs I saw others PAY for were cancelled all night, loud, full of d-bags You will like this bar if: You are a d-bag dude bro and love sports too much You won’t like this bar if: You like being able to get drinks, you want to eat while drinking, you still have ear drums, or you are a normal person I love bars in Austin from total dives to microbrews, but we all hated this abhorrent place and wasted so much money on their bull crap. Worst bar I’ve ever visited and I’m horribly let down and annoyed. Wish we would have enjoyed the expensive night for which we paid a good price.

Pretty cool neighborhood bar, just don’t expect marble floors or granite countertops. They have a good selection of draft beers and a nice patio where you can just chill and relax. Only downside is the smoke which can be really strong at times…

I can see why this place would be the ideal hangout for a group of men, because they are all the waitresses are interested in serving. After trying to make eye contact with one of the girls walking around to all the other tables but ours, I went to the bar, ordered a drink, and asked for the manager. I told Terry the manager my friend and I were having a hard time getting the waitress’s attention and he told me there were only 2 girls working the whole floor and that this is not a restaurant, «we’re just a bar.» I thought that a completely empty table with people sitting at it(on a Friday night) trying to make eye contact with the waitress would be an obvious indication that a table needs service. Do these very busy waitresses HATE tips? Why couldn’t anyone even say hi? It really wasn’t that busy. If you want to see what I’m talking about, search the hashtags #SittingOnHerAss #iOverTip #iCant on Twitter. There’s a picture of our waitress relaxing with her other customers.

I have been to almost all of the local LW’s, and this last one has made me consider not going back. We scheduled a UWE — Happy Hour for a few coworkers. Checked the menu and decided that we would post. First to arrive and the place is pretty big on the inside, we pick our seats and IMMEDIATELY are met by our server… we shoo her away(nicely), telling her that we are waiting for the rest of the party. Member 3 of the party arrives and we decide to sit outside instead(they vape). Outside is very dog friendly and not too crowded(or smoky). Server appears and we order… I get soda(cuz I dont drink) and the missus gets a LS. The rest of the party arrives and, a couple of rounds in, I decide to get food — they dont serve it(it comes from next door). They don’t even order it for ya(LOL) Luckily for me,(1) Mi Pizza is close by and(2) LW’s is a BYOF establishment… Great time is had by all until… we close the check. I had one soda with 2 refills(5 bucks and change) the missus 2LS(4 bucks). REALLY? Charge for EVERY fountain soda? AND its almost as much as a beer? Party foul. Paid, tipped and left. Won’t return.

Not sure why I ever gave this place five stars. It certainly isn’t one. Three at best. This is a dog friendly, beer guzzling, friendly place to hang. It is a sports bar, with no kitchen. Not to worry, Brooklyn Pie Co. is right next door, and, they will deliver to the bar. Why wouldn’t they? They are literally on the other side of the wall. I’ve always enjoyed my visits here. Love the variety of music. I love hanging out on Sunday afternoons on the patio when the weather is nice. I guess you could consider this place the dive of sports bars. If you’re gonna be a sports bar, you should offer some sort of foodage. Just my opinion. My biggest complaint with LW is the smoke. Yes, cigarette smoke is everywhere. Some days worse than others. They have those garage doors that they open during nice weather. They open to the patio, where people are smoking, and, dogs are chilling. I am a reformed smoker, so, I tend to be a little harsh at times, but, something smokey is going on here. With the garage doors down, you are hit with smoke smell. Raise the doors, beg for a wind gust, and, you get more smoke(depending on the crowd size). I think they should do an overnight scrub down on the wood to see if they can get rid of some of that smoke. Meanwhile, they have some good beer selections, including Harp(bottle only :(). They have a 50 club to get your name on the wall, but, I haven’t done that. They are close to my home, and, I will continue to go there despite the smoke. Another thing I’d like to point out is that they don’t seem to have a themed crowd. Not sure why that is. Depending on the times you go in, you are gonna get a different vibe.

Great beer selection but the place smells of mold and lysol. Possibly the ice maker. A good place to hang outside. If you are sensitive to deodorizer… stay outdoors.
