Dog friendly, beer friendly, pizza friendly, great beer selection! I rest my case! Good people and good atmosphere, what else do you need?

I would give more stars based solely on the ability to watch plenty of sports at LW… Decent spot, outdoor area with TVs outside as well, big bar area and plenty of booths and bar seating. They don’t serve food but there is a pizza spot right next, literally share a door pretty much. We didn’t eat but it smelled awesome ! I noticed they had a few waitresses however no one ever came to the table, not once in the 3 hours we were seated at our booth. I have no idea what the set up is exactly, maybe they only tend to the outside and patrons are expected to walk up to the bar if seated inside … I really don’t know and I wasn’t drinking so I didn’t really care to ask. Just found it odd, but like I said, we were there to watch the game and there were plenty of TVs to do just that… The bartender was nice as we closed our tab too. I would go back to watch sports for sure !!

Bleh. Smells like sweat and beer and even on a Tuesday early on in the evening it seemed all the patrons were already wasted. The place felt divey without the charm. Music was outdated, in a bad way.

Little Woodrow’s has the best bartenders. Everyone is so friendly & the drinks are delicious. Always a great time!

We decided to leave so we didnt ingest glass. Bartender broke a glass into the the cooler of other glasses. Obviously knew she did it and continued to serve from that cooler. Not interested in chards — Jon Taffer would be pissed!

Great friendly neighborhood bar! I’ve been going here for 8+ years and I love it(although the big Beer nights can get a little crazy during the week days ^_~) great prices, the staff is very friendly as well! As soon as I walk in they know exactly what Beer I want(lone star) and bring it to me right away! Highly recommend little Woodrows if you haven’t been!

Great place to sit, talk and have a couple. Pizza next door is not too bad either. ;)

Little Woodrows is a very chill spot in SouthPark Meadows. They have a very nice selection of beer, and the atmosphere is cool as hell. They have a very laid back vibe with a ton of outdoor seating. If you get hungry while enjoying a delicious #LiveOak Heffe, you can swing over to Brooklyn Pie for a huge slice of some delicious New York style pizza. The parking is pretty is decent since its located in the SouthPark Meadows shopping center. The prices are pretty standard and the beer tour card is something you should probably ask about. #Austin #Texas

I think I was a bit cruel when I left my first review so it’s about time for an update. Little Woodrow’s is a staple in the South Austin bar scene. It’s easy to get to, ample parking, outdoor seating, dog friendly, and they have a huge indoor space that stays well air conditioned. It’s perfect for summer. When it gets cold out, they fire up the pits and let you gather around and make new friends. On Tuesday they have a special on big ass beer. It’s a pretty good special, I think prices vary depending on what you get but that’s normal. The bar staff is really nice and I have a lot of fun taking to them. I’ve realized that the crowd is a lot more laid back than some of the other bars down south. People are mostly young professionals. It’s nice to get away from the bro crowd that’s exists in Austin. I’m glad I revisited this bar a few more times, they’ve def changed my mind.

Great place to grab a drink on a weekend night if you’re not up for insane crowds. Very laid back, fun music, nice patio and decent service(not fantastic). Also, all shiner bottles and drafts are $ 3.50 all day Saturday! All-in-all, an excellent choice for a drink close to home.

I just wanted to say that Little Woodrow’s is the place to go when I’m down south!!! I really enjoy the awesome service I get from the excellent staff, especially from Cindy and Leigh!!! there’s no doubt in my mind that LWSPM is the place to be every night, especially Sunday’s, Monday’s, and Wednesday’s!!!

One of my favorite places to grab a drink. It is just a great environment to have any kind of night. I have never had a bad experience here with service or drink selections. I am currently working on trying all of their beers to receive a piece of wood with my name on it hung on their wall, it is quite a challenge… to remember my hole punch card.

Really cool place to have a few drinks. They have golden and shuffleboard. The shuffleboard table has sand instead of wax which is a little frustrating. Lots of tvs and a great outdoor patio with a stage and bean bag toss. Pet friendly. The adjoining restaurant delivers food to the bar you just have to walk a few feet to order.

The jukebox at this place is toxic. It was absolutely the worst music I have ever heard at a bar in Austin outside of a Sixth street club. Pure and absolute garbage. And the staff was helpless — they all hated it along with us. We live in a region famous for music. If Woodrow’s isn’t willing to celebrate that part of our culture this bar is dead to me. The place is nice enough and the bartenders are sweet but this joint has no soul or heart — it’s like looking into the black eyes of an Opossum. I never should have walked across the street from Ginny’s. Shame on me.

I think it is a fun place to come. I love their Sunday deals for beer. Then environment is perfect. I love food from Brooklyn pie. They do not disappoint. They have a lot of games to play; dog friendly. I will come back.

Definitely not as nice as the one downtown. Their service is never consistent and I’ve actually been there when only one bartender was working — no wait staff. Their mix drinks are mediocre but at least they keep their beers cold. One nice part about this location is that Brooklyn pie is next door and their is a side window adjacent to Woodrow’s that you can order from. The crowd at this location is interesting. Not the youngest crowd, which is a big change from the downtown location. I will say they have a lot TVs, so if you want to catch a game far south, this might be a good option.

My first time ever at a Little Woodrow’s. My husband and I seated ourselves since no one seemed to give us direction. We waited for a short time and he decided to find us some menus. After no server approached us I went up to the gentleman that checked our ID as we came in and asked if we were supposed to seat ourselves. The employee told us yes and our server was a woman wearing a «overall thing or something» and she was somewhere and we should flag her down of we saw her. I went back to the bench out front and we waited. Every few minutes my husband and I made eye contact with the before mentioned young man, but he was chatting casually with other patrons. He was very nice, but not helpful. We left and experienced fantastic service at the Texas Roadhouse. My husband has had better service at this establishment before. Maybe they were understaffed tonight?

I’ve seen Bob Schneider more times than I would be happy to admit. The thing is, it’s the same experience every single time, even if the set list undergoes minor modifications. Also the crowd, the people are always the same, right?! However, the fiancé really enjoys that dude a lot and his buddy requested a hefty dose of live Bob Schneider during his birthday weekend, so we all obliged. We arrived super early, hoping to snag a table in close proximity to the stage. No such luck! This we settle for a wooden booth in the roofed main bar area. Fiancé’s sister and I pretty much glued ourselves to the booth all night, intensely fearing that some late arriving seatless Bob-loverscwould adversely possess it if not for our vigilance.(Just kidding, we simple share the same attitude towards Bob — «Oh, this guy, again.») The others felt inspired to be more active, challenging some random dudes to shuffle board and jamming to some familiar bro music. I threw back wine glass after wine glass of bland house wines, which our server was always very prompt and excited to bring out to me. I periodically felt sympathy for her, as she frantically scuttled around from table to table to keep up with drink orders on this particularly packed night. Sure enough though, that glued on smile never left her face which I found pretty darn impressive. So the bar/venue itself might not be the most comfortable on mosquito-dense nights. Or maybe the walls are adjustable(?) or something like that? I was spared from Dengue Fever, Chikungunya, and West Nile this time, but you betcha I live my moments outdoors in constant fear. Mosquitos apparently love that vegan blood. So right, this was an all right sort of place, but I doubt any of us would ever return here if not for a special event.

This was my second visit to Little Woodrow’s and, while I can’t speak to the midget wrestling, I can say that this appears to be a fun place after dark. Unfortunately, both times I was there late afternoon. Every place has its pros and cons. On the downside, you have to order and pay for your food at a window. You make your order, give them your table number and your server brings it to you. I’m sure they do it for reasons of efficiency but it has it’s drawbacks. On this visit my son paid for the snacks and I bought the beer. When the beer tab came I forgot to add the cost of the chips and salsa to the tip, thus the server got screwed out of the additional tip which probably would have been about a dollar extra since I round up. If this happens regularly over the course of a shift it can add up. Maybe management factors this in. I don’t know. On the plus side, they have a great selection of craft and national beers. They even have Lone Star on tap. What’s not to love about that? What that tells me is that LW’s is a comfortable place for beer snobs and bubbas alike. And, although I am significantly older than their target demographic, I would return again in a heartbeat.
