Stumbled upon Marmi women’s shoe store(apparently a chain) for the first time yesterday. Product: The store is pretty small but they had a large, tight selection. Styles ranged from a bit more conservative to slighitly funky. Lots of Van Eli’s, Sesto Meucci(if you haven’t tried the latter, divine on the feet!) and some miscellaneous. They also had some nice purses. Did it blow me away? Did I find the coolest shoes ever? No, but I found some nice basic shoes, including a simple yet fabulous Donald Pliner sandal knockoff for at least half the price. Additionally, from the prior review and what I learned when there, they specialize in hard-to-find sizes. Some of their in-store shoes go up to 13, for example. Well done! Service: Listen. The guy who helped me — admittedly — talks nonstop. I was in a mellow, private mode — this was not what I wanted. At the same time, he was nice and incredibly thorough: he offered to call other stores, order stuff from the warehouse, wrote down the shoes I passed on in case I wanted to change my mind, etc. He’d be great to work with if you needed someone to help you move forward! A woman(the operating store manager?) and I chatted later as well. She was sweet as can be. All the customers that came through seemed very familiar and happy with the store. I warmed up to Marmi’s over time. It might be worth checking out!
