I have to tip my cap to Mike at the store here.
He was both knowledgeable and professional as he helped me navigate through the opaque science of choosing a new mattress.
I rarely feel clueless when shopping. However, a new bed (along with women’s clothes or jewelry) is one of the categories I’m flying blind.
Enter Mike
Enthusiastic and easy to talk to, he’s a low pressure salesman who disarms any fears you might have of a pushy experience or a salesman up-​selling you.
Fast forward: we scan a few select beds based off my sleeping position, weight distribution & comfort level before deciding on a cushion-​firm model.
Delivery scheduled for next day.
Excellent experience for something I’d been putting off, and I’ll definitely recommend this zilker store to my friends.
I’d almost venture to say it was fun.

Mike at this store is so kind and so helpful! My husband and I ran into the store 15 mins til close on a Friday evening, feeling like total jerks but in desperate need of a mattress, and Mike was just the man to help us! He was so kind and patient and helpful and knowledgable.
My husband and I made some mistakes in ordering the correct mattress, too… we ordered a full, thinking that was what we needed… and then when the mattress was delivered we saw that we actually needed a queen. We are idiots, I know. Nevertheless, Mike was SO helpful is facilitating the exchange and helping us get what we needed, without treating us like the doofuses we were. Thank you, Mike!

Ashley, thank you! Yesterday, I was on the hunt for a good, affordable mattress for my guest suite. Thank you, again, for taking me into the «value» room. You were very patient as I played Goldilocks– too soft, too hard, just right– and kept suggesting until we found the perfect mattress at the perfect price point. And it took what– 20, 30 minutes, start to finish? Cool!
I will be back for our master bedroom new mattress. Thanks for all the advice on your company’s standard promotions– replace every 8 years, and how to get a bit of a price break, etc. We’ll be on the main showroom for that one, and I can’t wait!
And HELLO-​704? We no longer have to drive to East Jesus nowhere to get name brands, good prices and great customer service. Woo hoo!

I came into the store and was greeted by both associates immediately. Allison worked with me to understand my needs. She went over pricing options and the type of mattress best suited for me. She was extremely helpful and very nice. I am recommending anyone in the downtown area who needs a new mattress to synch up with Allison. You won’t be disappointed.

My husband I responded to an ad we got in the mail for a king size bed. We were greeted by Ashley when we walked in. She showed us exactly what we were interested, we tested it out, bought and paid for it within 30 minutes! It was a super easy process, and Ashley was extremely helpful. Excited to get our new bed! And even more excited by the awesome price and value!

Stopped by Mattress Firm on S. Lamar yesterday. It’s fairly new, only a month old I think. Where the old Taco Bell used to be. Anyway, been having lots of back pain and decided it was time to replace my 20 yr old mattress. A young man named Garrett greeted me the minute I walked in the door.
He asked about what I was looking for, how I sleep (back, side, stomach), and then explained their color coded system to me (different colors represent different firmness levels). It was pretty interesting because I walked in pretty sure that I wanted a firm mattress but after trying lots of different beds in a wide range of prices, I ended up buying the second bed he showed me, but it was a soft mattress. Whoulda thunk?
I ended up getting on that mattress about 5 or 6 times, and I’d lay there for as long as I wanted (he was patient and didn’t seem to care how long I laid there) until I was sure it was the one I wanted.
The mattress I bought was not the most expensive one I tried out, but it also wasn’t the least expensive. Like Goldilocks, I feel like it was just right!
Being a new store, everything was fresh and clean. Garrett was very personable and helpful. And I got exactly what I wanted (even though I didn’t know it’s what I wanted!).
All in all, a great experience.
