This was one of the worst McDonald experience we’ve ever had — husband and I stopped by on our way to Seton, needed something quick. Get to the 1st window and the girl not only doesn’t say a word to me as she takes then hands back my card, but also literally SCOWLS at me when I make eye contact. At the second window a second girl wordlessly hands us our food and drinks, but at least feigns a smile at the end and mumbles a «Have a good day.» As we’re about to get back on 290 I say, «Oh great — no straws?» and my husband looks in the bag, asks, «Did you order fries? ‘Cause they’re not here…» So we turn around, I park and go inside. There’s already another lady waiting to complain about something. She ordered two of something but only got one. Lady behind the counter glances at her receipt, then CHARGES her for the second item. Then I tell her we’re missing a medium fry and our straws. She says she’s sorry, then goes and scoops some fries for the drive-thru orders while I stand there like an idiot. A minute later she brings me my fries, says she’s so sorry, and walks off. So I sigh and go get my own straws from the drink station. As I’m leaving — not kidding — ANOTHER lady comes in and tells the lady who dealt with me, «I just got this tea from the drive-thru, but it tastes awful. Can I get something else?» Geez, folks — get your crap together!(I’m a manager at a food place — for me this would have been a quick group huddle, «Come to Jesus» kinda pep-talk.) Being in the food industry myself 10+ years, I noticed other things — they weren’t busy while I was in there but several of the employees were just sort of standing there, despite one person waiting to order and me and the other lady waiting to complain. The window where you pick up the food was filthy, the windows to the front doors were filthy, there was a wet floor sign at the front doors but dirty footprints all over the floor. My take-away is this — it’s McDonald’s so what can you expect? As a corporation they have way too much money to care, they’ll still get business. Also, maybe if fast food workers were payed more, they’d care more? I dunno, just hate being angry with myself for choosing McDonald’s all the time, for one, but also that they just don’t seem to care, at all.

The few times I come to McDonald’s is for a sweet tea. On occasion if I’m in a pinch I may get some fries. The other food items I’ve long since retired for healthier options. However, nobody does it better than McDonald’s when it comes to fast. I can always get in and get out in a minute or less. My old park and walk in side works best for me, because I don’t get burger meals from here. The sweet tea is very sweet but for any size @ $ 1 it works for me. Remember to ask for lemon so you can add it to your drink!
