My husband and I just moved to Texas and saw so many of these. Tried it out today and was not impressed. It wasn’t terrible. The best way to describe it is «eh». It was basically McDonald’s. It wasn’t terrible and the service was nice, but it’s not worth $ 12 for two meals.

Lived in Texas for 4 years now, first time trying this place. I ended up here being that I was trying to go to P. Terry’s but the line as too long and I was in a hurry. Figured«what the heck, lets try this place». I had a cheeseburger meal(requested the cheese). Burger came out with no cheese, was sloppy thrown together. Fries were bland and not salted at all. Everything has a sort of fake chemical taste to it along with being bland. Would have at least tasted better at McDonalds or woe thing. Not going to any of these places again!

This is my usual goto Whataburger and it usually has average service and good food quality, but what made me decide to finally wrote a review for it was my last visit this past Friday night. I was going through the drive thru and the guy taking the orders was doing it enthusiastically by adding adjectives to the order when repeating it back to me. He said something like, «so that’s an awesomely terrific #2 meal and what would you like for your amazing drink today?» It made me smile and I hope he takes my order again someday with the same enthusiasm.

The burgers are OK but I love the breakfast options! Honey chicken bisquit is the best. This one by my house is a great stop to work. Short lines and quick service makes it a repeat place! Convenient to get back on MOPAC or go to 290!

The year, 1976. The place Southwood theatre now know as Lazer Blazer on Ben White. I was an usher there and the tall A frame What-A-burger was easily reachable on my 15 minute break. Man, I was 17 and could eat TWO of those huge burgers washed down with a vanilla shake. I’m now 57 and love those burgers just as much as when I was younger. I can’t polish off two burgers anymore so now that I’m older I concentrate on enjoying the one I’m eating.

If you’re wondering why it takes eternity to get your food through the drive-thru, it could be because the order-taker was busy thrusting his hands down the back of his pants and shooting the breeze with a co-worker. We were the first in line and had to wait ten minutes for our food during which time I happened to take a sip from a funky tasting Fanta(that’s not Fanta) right before I noticed the hands-in-the-pants action from the guy who took our order and handled our drinks. As for the food, which was handled by a different employee, I felt like I needed a bib to eat the mess of an Avocado Bacon burger that fell apart like my hopes at having a decent meal tonight. It was delicious but drenched in sauce that made the bread so soggy that it started vomiting onions all over my plate. Fries were cold. Whataburger: Where customers need bibs, and employees need hand control.

Horrible service. They are always out of everything and the shake machine is down for cleaning OK n the middle of the day??? It is consistently bad. I love whataburger but I am going to have to find a new one to go to.

I go to this whataburger at about once a week because I work in the area. Yes sometimes there is a line but for me it is worth the wait as far as burgers go I love the fact that they give you a decent size drink with your combo meal. I hate the fact at other places they ask you if you want a small medium or large combo good burgers good chicken good food

When taking someones order you should listen… I said«#22 with sausage and a Dr P»… Seconds later and what do you want to drink… Get to window and its not even a number 22!

This is my neighborhood whataburger… and I’ve driven through a couple of times. It’s not the speediest, but at least the people are friendly and burgers were good. This weekend, however, I basically lost faith in humanity while at this particular wb. I walked in late night and witnessed two young men causing a scene– drinking beer and antagonizing another older customer in front of the entire restaurant. The staff just kept their eyes down and not one person in the whole place said a damn word. It was messed up. For a second, I seriously thought I was on that show«what would you do?» Basically, I had to shut those punks down and demanded why the manager was allowing this to happen– kick them out, call the police, give them their freaking food so they will leave! Nothing. Lazy, disinterested, man who was so «used to this stuff» that it didn’t even phase him. It was pathetic. Pathetic that the staff and manager allowed it to happen. Pathetic when the manager tried to argue with me and said«they don’t have beer» and I told him to look in the trashcan. Pathetic that people watched these jerks behave so inappropriately and antagonize another human being, and did nothing to stop it.

Service: A+ Food: A+ It was breakfast and the manager on duty this morning was Cliff. He did more than anyone I’ve ever seen! He visited the lobby numerous times to check-in with guests. He made small talk and jokes. He took empty trays from tables and offered to get refills if guests needed them. I will be back! My nephew and I had a wonderful experience at this location. That’s really good because we are huge Whataburger fans and have eaten at several locations in and out of town. Cliff ROCKS!

Local friends took me here, but frankly I wasn’t impressed. Floppy burgers, overcooked hard fries. If I hadn’t been so hungry I would have asked to go somewhere else. Still, the bit of local color was nice.

I don’t give a one star lightly, but the last 4 or 5 times I’ve been here I have had issues at this restaurant. Tonight appeared to be severely understaffed. I ended up having to wait about 20 minutes for my meal which was taken to go. The drive-through line, as usual, was packed. I live within very close proximity to this restaurant, so it surprised me when I opened up my bag to find cold french fries and a cold hamburger. Not impressed with this particular whataburger. Mcdonalds would have been better and I hate mcdonalds!

This was my third time trying the burgers at this location. The first two some how some way I got a fridge cold beef patty between burger buns. I had vowed never to return, however after getting a coupon for a free burger I have it another shot. My Whayaburger with cheese was very greasy as if pan fried in grease. The taste was average and far from mind blowing. The fries was salty and hot and very enjoyable. However I wasn’t impressed enough to be a repeat customer. With so many great burger joints like Mighty Fine, and P. Terry’s there is no need to settle for average. The service was okay. This spot is good for a late night craving because they are opened 24 hours. I can’t recommend Whataburger, but I won’t shun it either

Best burgers we had in Austin. No question! This place was near our friends’ house and we were happy to see it. Not living in the south-central any longer we can’t get Whataburger(in Vegas), so we chowed here. Still one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!

I’ve never had a Whataburger burger in my life, because I moved to Texas after becoming a vegetarian, but I must say I crave the egg sandwiches here! My regular order is an egg sandwich, no bun oil. It’s basically a breakfast on a bun, but half the price(and no meat, of course!). I only visit this fine establishment between the hours of 11pm and 11am(since that’s when breakfast is served), and it’s usually very clean and never too crowded.

I’m sitting at the«pay» window, with drink in hand, when the lady at the window informs me my debit card was declined. WHAT?! Ultimate embarrassment. Kill me now. I have no other form of payment on me except for the assorted change at the bottom of my purse… certainly not enough to cover my $ 4 – 5 breakfast taquito and drink. I hand my drink back and explain that I’m going to pull out of line and call the bank quickly. Unfortunately, that call revealed that someone had hold of my credit card and was going to town(hello, Monday morning!) Needless to say, the bank had cancelled my card and I would not be able to pay for my food. Again, I was so embarrassed but didn’t want to just drive off without saying anything. So I pulled back around(did I mention I was in my jammies?) and explained to the order box that I would not be completing my purchase after all and that I was really, really sorry(if not eternally humiliated.) They told me to go ahead and pull around and they’d just give me my food anyway. Rather surprised, I took them up on their kind offer but also promised I’d come back by and pay them later in the week when I was back down that way. As it so happened, I had actually dropped one of my kids off near Whataburger and so of course, I’d be going back by for the roundtrip. I decided to rush home and scrounge for cash where sure enough, I was able to put together five dollars. After picking up my child, I swung back by Whataburger again. It was 11:30 and the drive-thru was now filled with early lunch people, so I ran inside quickly(dressed this time) and explained to the girl at the register that I owed them«four something» from this morning. Another guy(not from this morning) walked up and they both looked confused, if not amused, by my assuring them if they just gave it to the people at the window and tell them it was from the lady whose credit card wouldn’t work earlier, they’d know what it was all about. As I turned to walk out, the amused guy called out«good samaritan» to me. I turned, and said, «No, it was Y’ALL who were the good samaritans.» And despite the hassle of being without my trusty debit card for a few days, it really kind of made my day— Monday and all.

Best whataburger I’ve been to so far. I ordered the whatachicken sandwich. The bun was warm and toasty on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside. The breaded chicken was fantastic and the lettuce was fresh and crisp. The manager brought my food out quickly and offered a choice of condiments. The fries were also fresh and crispy. Overall a solid lunch experience.

RESTAURANTINSPECTIONSCORE: 84(04/21/2011) Scrambled egg flake bits and limp, greasy, thin bacon were definitely nothing to write home about. Hash browns and biscuit were good, but, after waiting 10 minutes for them, I would expect them to be at least warm. Sadly, they weren’t. Another family member reported the pancakes were very good – and hot. I guess I know which breakfast was made last, and which was held on the counter. This location is very hit or miss. It seems like they’re on the mark more on weekdays than weekends, at least when it comes to breakfast items. This, unfortunately, was a weekend visit, so I got WhatAPileOfCrap.

I’m a Whataburger girl. Probably my favorite fast food burger in town(possibly tied with Wendy’s Jr. Cheeseburger Deluxe). The Whataburger Jr.(add cheese and jalapenos!) is the perfect size and allows me to indulge in a juicy cheeseburger with a Jr amount of guilt. AND when you make the Whataburger Jr into a meal(it’s the #7, I believe), the Jr amount of guilt continues with a small fry and a medium drink. Yay! The other good thing about the Jr is that I usually don’t end up with the dreaded soggy end of burger — it does happen with the regular Whataburger. You know when you’ve been holding on to a burger too long — especially when you keep it in its wrapper — and all the juices from the topping(and probably grease from the burger) end up in that last couple bites of burger? And it’s kind of gross? Or maybe I’m the only one with this problem… Hmmmmm… The cons to Whataburger? Good lord they can be slow! I like to think that it just means my food is that much fresher, but really? Who knows. Oh! Oh! And the other best thing about Whataburger is that I love their ketchup! Two reasons: one, they come in the little plastic tubs so you don’t have to deal with packets; two, their ketchup doesn’t have high fructose corn syrup in it! Whoo!
