ok– but very very pricey. not good value really.

LOVE the Chorishi’s fire. Sushi is fairly good and reasonably priced. Rarely a wait to get a table. Good alternative to Uchi or Musashino if you need a sushi fix w/​o want to pay the high price or wait in line for hours as you would with Uchi or Musashino.

The rolls here are great. We ordered the Chorishi’s Fire, the King’s Roll, the Tuna Naruto, Dragon roll, and the Crabpuff Deluxe. I was pleasantly surprised by the Chorishi’s Fire. Although I am not a big fan of shrimp tempura, the added texture really made the roll exceptional. The Crabpuff Deluxe was similar in taste to the crab rangoon appetizer you find at chinese restaurants. The outside of the rice was fried to give it a crispy texture, which I like. However, I have seen this done elsewhere and I believe they use regular rice rather than sushi rice (probably so it sticks together during frying). The King’s roll was also very good topped with escolar. The Tuna Naruto and Dragon Roll were not memorable. Overall, this sushi bar is above average, especially considering that it is in Texas.
