Really disappointed. Salads are just yuk. There is absolutely nothing to them. Pre-cut refrigerated and water logged chicken is flavorless. All of the salads are the same with a couple of interchangeable options. I have never had an Asian salad this bad. No sesame seed, oranges, green onions or flavor. Same as a Greek salad with cucumbers, peppers and huge stem pieces of romaine. I guess what makes it a Chinese chicken salad is they put wanton strips in it. Anyone can make better at home. Save your money. Two star because it’s nice and clean, but food sucks.

Let me start by saying I grew up in Texas. I find my self living in Portland OR. I miss BBQ. Don’t get wrong we have place that call themselves BBQ joints but most leave me thinking back to Texas and the Q. I grew up with. That said I find myself in Lakeway Tx. Hungry. I was in walking range of Table 620 so I give it a try. I ordered what else but sliced brisket sandwich with sweet potato fries. The counter help was friendly and helpful. I received my food quickly The food was hot. The brisket tender, flavorful and piled on. The sweet potato fries were hot and appeared to be twice fried or at least battered before frying. Very nice. I must add the server that served my food went and got silver wear and napkins from the self serve area because she notice I had not. A manager stopped by to check if everything was to my liking and it was. Today I give would them five stars on service. The three star food rating is only due to this my first visit. In closing, guess where lunch will be tomorrow? Regards, Chris Augenthaler

I was in Austin on business staying at the Hampton Inn and I was looking for somewhere within walking distance, due to not having a mode of transportation, to grab some food and cold beers after a long day of work and travel. The road where this is located is extremely busy, and this place was attached to the HEB directly across the street, so I decided to give it a try. After playing human Frogger, George Costanza style, I made it to the vast parking lot. I came in through the grocery store and was slightly confused. I saw a walk up counter and tables, but all of these looked like to-go or quick dine options. Luckily, I kept proceeding to the right, or back area, and found the bar. It was a buzz of activity but wasn’t super crowded: perfect. I sat at the bar and looked over the beer menu. Plenty of good stuff; IPA, stout, amber, wheat, even a DIPA. Not wanting to dive right in with the alcoholic stuff, I got an IPA. Although served way too cold, it tasted Fran and was a delicious choice for the unseasonably warm and humid weather. For food, I got the Mesiterranean hummus platter and TJ chicken tostada. I missed the part of the tostada description that included some sort of aioli, so I missed out on a lot of the tostada because I hate aioli, which is just a fancy way of saying mayonnaise. The hummuses(or is hummi plural for hummus?), one traditional and one avocado, were delicious. They didn’t give enough bread so I asked for more and was served more. I really enjoyed it here. The happy hour beers were good prices with a great selection of craft beers. Some gal ended up chatting me up and she said she comes I. To the bar to drink a couple glasses of wine before going grocery shopping. Sounds like a great idea!

I hate giving this review, but honestly I am stunned. I have been going to the bar at Table 620 since they opened. During my first visit one of the great bar staff,(Adam) and I got into a discussion about whiskey. He asked what my favorite was. I laughed, Pappy’s Van Winkle of course! Oh we have a bottle he said. I laughed. That would be so awesome if my local bar had a bottle I had not seen in 5 years. He walked in back and brought out the bottle. I was stunned. 10 year let’s pour! They had no pricing, had to get approval. Didn’t know why they even had it, Didn’t know it was rare, it was just a bottle that had been in the cage. Every week since I have stopped in, became acquainted with many of the staff. Asked each one how my bottle was. Gave each manager Lizzy and Joe my business card. Call me whenever this is finally resolved. The only problem is they have not been given permission to serve it. Last week it was decided, they would pour it on the 27th, I went to check tonight. I want to invite friends to enjoy. How was it going to be served. They would do 2 ounce pours. Ok. lemme see 750 ml 25 ounces? So 6 friends each would buy two drinks… What time should we expect? The reply floored me…“The bottle is already opened, but they won’t serve it to anyone else until the 19th of June. Some regulars were interested so the manager(who only knew it was a rare bottle because of my inquiries) had already served it.” Probably to their friends. I won’t be back… For any who want Pappy’s they may have some left, but I will never be back.

An out of towner from PA looking for something unique to the area and we were not disappointed. My husband had chicken chipotle and I the mushroom and spinach enchiladas. Food was amazing and our server was so incredibly accommodating always making sure our needs were met. I know we will be back in a year or two and hope it’s still here!

I’ve eaten many items on this menu including a myriad of BBQ, fried pickles, calamari, and baja shrimp tacos, to name a few. The two stars go to the pork ribs but only 2 because while I’ve ordered them half a dozen times, one or two times they have been pretty tremendous, the rest were either mediocre or not that great. The rest of the BBQ is pretty meh. Consistency is not their strong suit. The baja tacos were tasteless — you’d be better off paying way less and getting a much tastier version at a taco truck, the fried calamari was inedible so got tossed as well as the fried pickles. These items were on par with a lesser branch of TGI Fridays or Applebee’s. Overall, if you are going to chance it, try some BBQ as that was the only thing worth it but then again, it is hit or miss. I will say the slaw and creamed corn were very good.

We went to eat there today for the first time, I got barbecue chicken, which was dry and coleslaw that needed more flavor and Mac and cheese that was really good, my husband ordered shrimp tacos, beans and chips and salsa, salsa did not have any flavor, beans were ok, shrimp tacos he liked, but the tortillas were awful small, then we talked to a table sitting next to us and asked about their food, the lady left her sandwich half uneaten, it was to dry and their calamari was 3 whole little squids and some rings. We told one of the girls working there about our food, but she seemed very defensive and not helpful, we will not eat there again.

Had the BBQ smoked chicken and it was very good. My partner had steak and she did not find it to her liking. There was a duo playing music out in the patio area but we opted to stay inside because it was a windy day. The noise level of this place is on the high side, great for casual family dining. I noticed that people that wiped the tables just push the food to the floor and that was not a good sight when you are eating.

Yum! Our whole family loves it! Great weekly specials. Beer selection is great. Prices and portions are good. Service is very good. Live music and outdoor area for kids to run and play. We have been going a few times a month since it opened!

Restaurant next to the new HEB in Lakeway. The food was quite good. We had the crab ceviche tacos and the smothered steak with mushroom risotto. Both meals were well prepared and very tasty. The smothered steak is a winner. There are tons of options here so I will definitely give this place another try. The décor is very clean and modern. Service was very good. The selection of local brews is excellent as well.

Don’t let the fact this is attached to HEB fool you. This is a very good restaurant. Several selections on the menu from pizza and burgers to bbq and salmon. Worth a try. It’s on my repeat list.

Good new go-to spot in Lakeway especially in conjunction w/grocery shopping, with a good variety on the menu. Recently ordered a burger for the first time — the Brisket Blue which was a solid choice. Wife had the Baja Shrimp Tacos(grilled) and they were also delicious. Nice choice of draft beers. On a previous visit, we’ve had the salmon and Korean fried chicken, both excellent dishes as well. Friendly staff, decent prices, and no tipping necessary as staff are presumably paid a decent hourly wage and can’t accept tips. Any tip left is donated to a local charity, which staff tell us is planned to vary month-to-month.

We hoped for this place to be good. We were disappointed. Shrimp tacos were flavorless except for a bit of chili pepper. Crispy sprouts were passable. Poke tacos tasted like they were made from days-old tuna that didn’t sell in the fish market. Unimaginative wine list. Very disappointing given the quality of the fish and produce in the store itself.

So-so little café-bar-restaurant connected at the hip to the new Lakeway HEB. I’ve been here twice, and the food is competent, whether it’s the pork sliders, the BBQ brisket, or the calamari. I don’t rate this place higher for a couple of reasons. First, it’s as loud as a coal chute in here, so don’t expect to have an intimate conversation. Second, the food is okay, but bland bland bland. The calamari is crisp but bland, the brisket smoky but there’s no other flavors, and not melt-in-the-mouth tender. Plus the sauce on the sliders tastes like something uninspired and just out-of-the-bottle. Worth a visit if you need a bite before getting your shopping done, but I don’t see a reason to come here when there’s awesome places all within a couple minutes’ drive time. This place gets 2 stars on the ‘CTJ Scale’, as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a meal here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK being seen eating here by Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus’ Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn’t have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn’t have my penultimate supper here, either.

For a grocery store restaurant you would think they would have a better and healthier selection of food The food menu is allot of fried food or sandwiches and pizza offered in predominantly white bread there’s no choices of healthier options such as multi grain bread on your samdwich or a wrap option I had the Mediterranean salad and added salmon, the salad was just ok the dressing wasnt paired well and the salmon wasnt worth the upgrade I guess if Im in a hurry and need to multi task ill eat here again but orherwise wouldnt recommend it

So I decided to try this place out, since I’m house sitting for my brother for the next few days. I read the reviews so I decided to try. I ordered the Korean fried chicken. I heard a lot of great things about the chicken. I placed an order for pickup. My chicken look over cooked, plus they added 2 chicken strips. Here’s what the menu stated: «Crispy Half Chicken» What I got was a thigh a drum and 2 strips! So I called back when I got home and the lady told me «I get what I paid for» yeah I paid $ 15 plus change. For 2−4oz of side dishes and some chicken that wasn’t even half way through f the chicken… I will not go back anytime soon.

Stopped by Friday night for a meal. After all the reviews I had expectations. The guy who took our order recommended the burger over the Korean Chicken, so I went with it. My wife asked for a turkey bacon sandwich on ciabatta bread. My burger was just OK. Just slightly better than what you would get at, say, Whataburger. Not even near Mighty Fine quality. The burger was greasy, they forgot the bacon, and it was fairly flavorless. The turkey sandwich was not better. My wife ate less than half of it. The bread was hard. The meal was certainly not worth $ 25. Disappointed.

First experience with Table 620 was good. You order at the counter, then you get a device to sit on your table for the food to be delivered. Drinks and silver ware are self service. Line could have gone a tad faster but only one person working the counter on a Sunday around 7pm. He was nice to let us know that our order would take some time as entrees take more time to prep. My father ordered shrimp & grits. I ordered the smothered chop steak. The shrimp and grits had a kick to them. The steak is actually a thick hamburger patty. It was a tad over cooked for my taste. However, the risotto was delicious. I could have just had that for my dinner. The space is a bit small but we were able to find a seat. There is a bar section at the back. It appeared to have a full bar. Our total bill was $ 32.48 or $ 15 per entrée. They have a deal that I wish we had known about before we ordered. They call it a Tee Program. For every $ 12 you spend you get a Tee. On your sixth Tee you get $ 6 off. Of course they have signs at the table but it would have been nice to know that before we spent $ 32. Oh well. A good place to get a meal. Then go shopping at HEB. We hope to experience the brunch soon on Sundays.

Spicy, vinegary Korean Fried Chicken and the Mediterranean salad split with my wife. An excellent meal in a vibrant setting. Nice, open comfy restaurant where you order at the checkout and the food arrives at your table when done. Staff was very solicitous and friendly. We will be back.

Yes, I am very aware Table 620 only opened a mere 3 days prior to my first experience. Normally, I would return a few times and weigh my experience(s) and see how they progress and typically cut them some slack; however, my first shot was just incredibly sad(particularly given the major«complexity» of my order — LOL!)…and there are a few other negatives I will mention below. After an indulging afternoon of having a couple of wonderful spa treatments, I stopped by Table 620 on my way home wanting to pick up something«light-ish» for dinner to go. I pursued their menu, didn’t see anything particularly appealing, so I decided to go for a simple Caesar Salad. On a weekend evening around 7:30pm, the restaurant was a little busy… seemed like about 1⁄3 of the diners were HEB employees by their attire. I waited in line for about 10 minutes behind 6 additional HEB employees before making my way to the front. Told the cashier what I wanted(described on menu as: Crisp romaine tossed with a creamy garlic Parmesan dressing topped with focaccia croutons & Parmesan) — NOCHICKEN for the moola — and requested(twice) that everything be put on the side please — we all know how quickly a CS can get soggy. Paid the $ 7 plus tax and was sent off to a corner to wait. My name was called, was handed a little brown bag, and I immediately noticed it weighed less than a bag of feathers. Huh? So, checked to see if they had indeed put everything on the side. Nope. But that wasn’t the worst of it. What was in the container was both appalling and laughable(Please see Exhibit A pic)! The smallest portion of sad little wilted CS. Unbelievable! Truly! I have NEVER seen anything like this leave a kitchen… anywhere! Hahaha! There was a manager very nearby who heard me say«oops, they forgot to put items on the side.» He personally picked up the container, obviously oblivious to what was in it… or rather what was NOT in it(hahahaha) and said«Let me have them make you another one. Would you like to take this home anyway? We’re just going to throw it away.» Way to go with both quality control and watching the P/L margins. Quickly received second package. Glanced inside, noticed containers were inside box which left room for the smallest amount of Romaine, started to say something, and just shook my head, laughed and walked out. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized the Caesar Salad«sides» they had included smashed in the handful of lettuce were CS dressing(check!), a little bit of shredded Parm(check), Calamata olives(what?), and some pear tomatoes(huh?)…and NO croutons(Please see Exhibit B pic)!!! Four items on a CS and they forgot one, and gave me two WTFs. Hahaha! Overall: Prices are a bit high in my opinion for a walk-up counter service restaurant. Even though they have a full bar… want another beer? You’re going to have to go wait in line to get one. Apps, salads, burgers, and entrées all range in price from ~$ 8 – 15 each; Mueller’s BBQ $ 18/lb for brisket. Wowza! Choose to dine in and indulge in one of their dozen Texas craft beers(decent selection I must admit) or a cocktail and you’ve got yourself a 45 dollar dinner(they are not open for lunch) for 2 in a GROCERY store restaurant. Given the ambience, and quality of food, I just don’t see how Table 620 will be able to compare with other area full service restaurants. Bbbad, bbbad… bad to the bone. And not in a cool way. The dozen employees standing around chatting were very courteous; albeit not well-trained or helpful in anyway… and that manager… oh my! :-D Unbelievable. The only way I can see returning would be to maybe have a $ 7.50 chopped BBQ sandie and a cold one pre-grocery shopping. Never a good idea to shop when hungry. As a big fan of Mueller’s Café, good luck with this concept HEB. Good luck indeed! I think maybe you tried to put on big boy pants, when shorts and flip flops are probably much more appropriate. This is up by Lake T after all. [178 in 2015]
