This was our first time, and it was great! Super friendly staff and delicious food for a really good price. Our kids loved customizing their own pizzas, and all the ingredients were fresh and tasty. We’ll have to come back to try the lemonades, but the milkshakes were yummy!

I’ve noticed the good reviews and I’ve been fascinated by the concept of a made-to-order pizza with unlimited toppings for a very fair price. So, last night, I finally broke down and gave it a try with the girlfriend, a native Chicagoan who’s as critical of pizza as I am of BBQ. The verdict? They deliver.(Not literally. It’s best to eat in.) The pizza is surprisingly good. It’s not like fast food, NY style, or Chicago style pizza. It’s cooked in a wood-fired oven that gives a thin, but slightly chewy crust.(For Austin people, the crust tastes like a cross between Mandola’s and Brick Oven.) I was very impressed with both the variety and quality of the toppings. I’m a pretty plain guy when it comes to pizza, but the friendly staff encouraged me with suggestions and I ended up adding olive oil, asiago cheese, salt, pepper, and oregano to an otherwise standard pepperoni and mushroom. If there’s one weakness, it’s the beverage area. MOD seems to take a lot of pride in their iced tea, which is excellent. But they did not have Sweet N Low nor lemon. I was able to enjoy the tea regardless, but the options would’ve been nice. On a final note, the staff is the real secret to this place. Everyone is happy, genuinely willing to help, and the staff preparing your pizza is more than willing to make suggestions to make a good pizza a great pizza.

Tried this place on a chance and it was great! The people are great! They acknowledge you when you enter. The selections are nice and the wait is not long. The pizza is great!!!

MOD Pizza is a strong 4 stars because what you get exceeds the price you pay. The dough is made in-house, the ingredients are fresh, and on most pizzas you can get out of there for less than $ 10. If you’re really hungry you can get a mega-MOD, which is two layers of crust, cheese and sauce, then your selected toppings. Once your pizza comes out of the brick oven, you can top it off with a drizzle of your choice. I always pick the buffalo. Oh, and for the anti-carbos, you can get any pizza in salad form. Not the best pizza in town, but the best pizza for the value.

I was pleasantly surprised at this place. My sister had been telling me I HAD to go try it, so I finally stopped in. Friendly service, good pizza, and at a good price! I will absolutely return. They have a LEGIT pizza oven and bake these bad boys fresh. Not bad for a «fast-casual» type of restaurant. Absolutely worth checking out. The salads looked really good to, but I wanted to try the pizza on my first trial. I’ll be back many times, I’m sure of it. Glad to have it in NW Austin.

This place is great for a reasonable priced pizza that actually tastes good! You can get all the toppings your little heart and stomach desires for the same base price. And the toppings are actually choices you’d want on your pizza that are above and beyond the basics. I got the mega, which is basically two of their very thin crusts sandwiched together with some sauce and cheese in between. In no way would I describe it as a deep dish pizza, but if you like crust then this is the way to go. It also stands up to a lot of toppings a bit better than the normal mod pizza(one crust). It still remains crispy and wasn’t doughy at all. Toppings are fresh and generous. The employees here were all friendly and patient as we made our choices down the line and explained how everything worked since it was our first time being there. The Anderson mill location has a great outdoor patio and plenty of indoor seating too. Pizzas come out pretty quick after ordering. I would definitely come here instead of ordering in from a typical delivery pizza place. You get more bang for your buck hands down at mod pizza. Leftovers taste delicious too!

I visited here about a month ago and finally have time to write this review. All I can say is WOW! The team here is not only very friendly and entertaining, they are quite accommodating. I have Celiac Disease and was hopeful that I may be able to score a pizza along with the rest of my family. When I saw them carefully ladling and spreading the sauce on the pies, I was concerned. I expressed my concerns and was nearly ready to just have a salad when the team stepped up and said they would take care of me. They made me the most amazing pizza from untainted ingredients from the back refrigerator, thoroughly washed a pan for my pizza to bake untouched in the oven, and used a freshly washed pizza cutter as well. MOD pizza, you’ve made a customer for life. Kudos to you all for your kindness and attention to detail. Your manager should buy you a round!

On moving day we stopped by here for a quick bite after hours of backbreaking labor, looking for something to reenergize us. The décor is pretty nice for a chain, and there is a nice patio with sidewalk chalk for the artsy folks as well. You can basically get whatever you want on your pizza for one price, so I started with a base that had a red sauce and 3 meats and added sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, basil, chili flakes, jalapenos, roasted garlic and a few other things before finally feeling content to let them throw it in the oven. The pizzas cook quickly and service is very friendly, and most importantly the pizza was a pretty good size, a reasonable price and quite good. Not my absolute favorite pizza in town, but for something that has no wait, is conveniently located to us, serves beer, has a patio and solid pizza and great service, it warrants all 5 stars from me. I will definitely come back and would love to try the cinnamon sticks and the srirancha dipping sauce for the pizza next time.

I waited awhile to try this pizza place. Admittedly, I’ve gotten spoiled with delivery from a chain or taking one from HEB and enjoying in front of a movie at home. My 7 year old begged to go out for pizza this week and, like a good Unilocaler, I checked for nearest and highest rated. MOD came up with plenty of delicious looking photos and 4.5 stars, so what the hey. Let’s go. We were very surprised to find such a hip joint in out Cedar Park area. The place fresh and clean with the pizza oven in plain sight. A lot like Chipotle, it’s make your own pizza in a choose any topping you want fashion. And here, toppings are not extra! Put whatever you want on it and it’s still just $ 7.47 for a MOD size. Under %4 for a kid’s size and just over $ 10 for a double decker Mega. Fast. Friendly. And fire charred crust delicious. Their lemonades are to die for. And they have quite the drink selection with $ 5 beer a wine. The inside seating is spacious as well as the patio. We saw many heaters for the colder months. Very excited to have this near by.

Out of all the«build your pizza» joints, I have to say this one is my favorite. Mod pizza doesn’t have as many toppings as the other ones, but their ingredients taste better. I don’t know if it’s the sauce or quality of ingredients, but the pizza has better flavor. If I’m ever craving a thin crust pizza made to order, I will definitely come here.

We had our first experience at MOD and we loved it! There were so many choices of toppings we had trouble narrowing down our choices. In the end we got the Salad Pizza and it was Delightful!!! The crust is EXACTLY how a pizza crust should be… light, crunchy, warm and so delicious! The pizza was topped with pretty much every veg under the sun and chicken. My husband and I enjoyed every bite and plan to be back for more! Thanks for coming to Austin!

A solid pizza joint. They had creative pizza toppings and pairings, a good selection of cheeses. We got the caspian(bbq chicken), maddy(cheese) and Dominic. All were solid pizzas. I like that you can add herbs as another topping option for more flavor. The lemonade stand were spot on, absolutely delightful. My only criticism was the chicken was flavorless. I’d skip over it next time in favor of the other meats.

I have been to this location twice. The service had always been wonderful. I love the fact that I am able to pick whatever toppings I want without the price going up. The first time I went I was unsure about the quality so I just got a mini pizza with veggies. By the time I finished it, I was regretting that I didn’t get the dinner size pizza. I love their lemonade, which doesn’t taste artificial but really fresh and delicious. The price is reasonable and I know I will have issues eating pizza from larger chains after coming here.

I still like Mod but taking one star off because today was pretty disappointing. It was my 4th time there and my pizza wasn’t cooked enough. It wasn’t hot, the cheese wasn’t melted all the way and my garlic still hard. Normally my crust is crispy and brown but this was the opposite-very doughy and raw-like. Not like it was busy and rushed either it was only me and one other family in there. I also saw flies on all of the meat toppings, not just flying around but actually landing on the meat. Considering this was my first bad experience I will probably still come back because my guess is it was just an off day or the worker who helped me wasn’t as good maybe. At least my husband loved his pizza! And I loved my iced tea as usual :) Fingers crossed next time will be amazing like it normally is!

Great first time in. I had such good service! It can be over whelming with all the choices but with good guidance from the guy making my pizza I ended up with something great. I love that they don’t charge for toppings so you truly get whatever you want and know exactly what you’re paying. I also was curious how the milkshakes were and the made me a little sample one to try! Such great people and food.

MOD Pizza, brand new to the pizza neighborhood that’s has 5 pizza shops within a .25 mile radius of its location. Very ambitious! What I like about is that you can order as many toppings as you want on your pizza or salad for one price I had a very good salad with everything but the kitchen sink as far as toppings go it was fresh tasting salad eaters indulge! The pizza now I judged in the context if MOD Pizza being a chain pizza. I had the Mad Dog which comes with mozzarella, pepperoni, mild sausage, crumbled meatballs, MOD red sauce. The flavor was good the crust was thin it was surprisingly smaller than what I expected, a hungry adult would need two to be full because of the thin crust. The pizza started out decent however I had issues with my crust, it had a processed after taste to me, perhaps my dough wasn’t cook throughly? After eating here I may give it another shot, only because it gives this pizza lover the ability to try a lot of toppings for the same price. I’m not in a rush or return, because my stomach did hurt a few hours after. I would be sticking to my regular pizza spot across the street at Saccones Pizza.

I love this place! The pizza is delicious; thin crust, flavorful sauces, fresh ingredients. As many toppings as you like for the same low price! They have some pre-designed topping combinations, or you can build your own. I have tried both ways, and both were equally fantastic. The service is great too. Everyone was super friendly, and eager to help. From greeting us at the door to clearing our plates once we were done, the staff seemed genuinely happy to do it! Between the price, atmosphere and service, Mod is quickly becoming my favorite casual restaurant! I highly recommend that everyone try it, you won’t regret it!

After seeing all the rave reviews at the other locations in Austin, I was excited for this Mod Pizza to open close to home. I went opening day and there was a line out the door. Mod Pizza was offering a free pizza for the first 52 customers and donated 100% of proceeds to the Austin Children’s services. While waiting in line they gave out milkshake samples, the vanilla was pretty good. The line moves very fast and I waited less then 5 minutes for my order. For those of you not familiar with MOD Pizza they serve up at 11 inch pie at a set price of $ 7.47 no matter how many toppings you choose. They also make mini pizzas that are about ½ the size. You can order one of their signature pizzas or opt to build your own. Bonus they list the nutritional information on the signature pizzas and salads(the mini maddy is a mere 333 calories). I ordered the Dillon James with mozzarella, asiago, fresh chopped basil, sliced tomatoes and MOD red sauce. The crust was nice and crispy, the sauce not too sweet and I loved the fresh tomatoes and gooey cheeses. They also serve salads, desserts, beer and wine on tap. The employees were very upbeat and the manager personally greeted customers. The Mod team made everyone feel welcomed to include a huge great dane on the patio. The patio is dog friendly so I will definitely be back with the pup and enjoy pizza & vino on the patio.
