I signed up on-line to rent a truck for a one-way trip. At the time U-Haul was offering a 1– month free storage with each truck rental. I was surprised when the 11 320 Hwy 620 location called me to say they weren’t going to honor the free month of storage. I ended up canceling the U-Haul truck rental for $ 761 and booking the rental with Budget for $ 467. Same size truck! It all worked out in the end.

I rented their smallest covered truck for 5 days and it was clean and easy to drive. I called and reserved the truck 2 weeks in advance and it was waiting for me when I arrived. It was suppose to be $ 19.95 a day to rent but with milage, insurance and a dolly it came out to $ 50 a day ($ 250 total). I would rather be safe than sorry and I am glad I paid for insurance. Also, I had a quote for movers and they estimated $ 2000 to move us so by renting a U-Haul we saved a lot of money, plus we did a slow move and were able to unpack the things we moved in and start fresh the next day.

I had a great experience at this U-Haul location.
The owners are friendly, super helpful and efficient. We got our cargo van i a few minutes and returned it later the same day. The van was in great condition, worked as expected and overall it was a seamless experience.
I would go back if needed.

There is nothing I hate more than being lied to. My husband went to pick up the truck so we could move from North to South Austin. The paperwork he was given said the tank was full; when he got to the truck the needle was around ¾. He went back in and asked about the gas meter, and they told him that’s as far as the needle went, and the truck was full.
He drove it 48 miles and filled it up right before returning it. He put in over 20 gallons, and the needle went way over the full line, it didn’t stop anywhere near ¾. 20 gallons for 48 miles is less than 3 mpg. He told them what happened when he returned the truck, and they just said, «Too bad.» No refund, nothing. So… they lied, to save a few dollars on gas.
