I was a little put off by this location when I first walked up. I noticed the location had a small seating section, the lunch menu was rather small, and I didn’t have high expectations for a place located within the mall. However, I decided to order a bulgogi beef dish and was pleasantly surprised, not only by the food, but by the service as well. The menu didn’t say much about what came with the meal so I didn’t know what to expect. What I got was miso soup to start off then my main course of a bento box with Bulgogi beef, White Rice, Clear noodles, 3 Pork Goyza and after I finished, I was brought 2 pieces of watermelon to end finish off. The service, the price, the quality, this definitely a place I would recommend and would like to visit more often.

What a wonderful find! I’m a traveling foody who’s eaten in Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Scandinavia, and to find this place in a mall? Wonderful! The veggie udon noodles were perfect, gyoza dumplings and California roll, great. Hot green tea satisfactory and tea bubbles firm! Well done! To top it off, left an iPad behind, found and returned safely. I’m a fan.

First I acknowledge that this is my first review in Unilocal.I was a regular customer of Osio, but it had been closed due to the store expansion. The location is almost same. It is just expanded. Recently I found that Oiso is reopened, and some menus changed. It looks like still under settling down on a new spot, but the quality of foods were still great. Serving was fast and foods were delicious. My favorite is U-don and sushi-rice. For U-don, the noodle was not soggy and sushi was fresh.

The food so delicious and filling. I used to visit when it was a kiosk but it’s even better now with its own restaurant space. It’s comfortable and the atmosphere is not noisy like the rest of the mall. Everyone is really welcoming and the Korean food is authentic. The shrimp udon was so good and crispy tempura and the bulgoki dish was great with a side salad and japchae on the side too… all our favorites. We had coconut bubble tea that we enjoyed before our meal. They gave us slices of oranges and kiwi to clean our palate. We left full and very happy. We can’t wait to come back.

This is absolutely the Best Bibimbap in Austin. I am Korean, I should know. I grew up in LA where you will find THE best Korean food. The bibimbap at Osio is just as good as what you will find out west. All the ingredients are fresh and well prepared.

This little place has a great atmosphere! Our sushi was so so delicious(and stunning). I forgot to take a photo but I wish I had, it was like art on our plate. We will absolutely be back. We had stopped in to hangout for a bite to eat before our movie and I’m so glad we did! I have no complaints. Great service and hospitality. Truly yummy and beautiful food. Relaxing atmosphere. Appropriately priced. Very clean. Thanks for a lovely experience =^_^= We got got a California roll, a Cali philly roll, and a crunch roll(this was a very unique roll that I would totally recommend), etc. Yum yum yum! We will be back!

It’s the best bubble tea and sushi place you can find in Austin. And they also added more Korean food which is very similar to the food I had when I travel to Korea years ago. ppl are very enthusiastic, too! So I strongly recommend to go there for a meal.

This is the best kept secret! They have changed their format to a full service restaurant. Perfect for sushi and a movie! I’m a purist… This has merit! Big pieces. Super fresh! Loved it!

We have been coming to Osio for a couple years when they were out in the mall to buy bubble tea & dumplings. We were happy as we noticed they had recently opened the restaurant! We had never ordered their sushi before but boy were we surprised how AMAZING it all was! My wife went a little crazy and ordered a sample of 16 pieces of assorted nigiri, the amazing roll and the YUMMY Texas roll. Everything was excellent and the prices were extremely reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely be back!

I wanted to go to Nordstrom’s Bistro but they started closing at 8pm(FYI) so I made my way to the Cheesecake Factory which I dread because the options are crazy. I see Osio and couldn’t tell what kind of store it was until I got close. They need to light up the«Korean and Japanese Cuisine» part of their sign. Anyways, mall sushi makes me nervous but I was in the mood for a healthier option so I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised! I was planning to dine on theater popcorn if my meal was bad but I ordered the shrimp udon and Born to Kill Roll. The shrimp tempura had a weird oily taste but otherwise the udon and roll were excellent. The prices are what you’d expect, not crazy but not cheap. I would recommend this place and I would come back. Also, my waitress was fantastic.

My mom really wanted Korean food for her Birthday last week and we happen to be at the mall. I gave her a bottle of Soju for her birthday and I told her to crack it open at the eatery. but she wouldn’t lol! My mom had the Bulgogi. but she didn’t like the gochujang(red chili paste). she did like the food so much that she took one to eat for dinner. The restaurant is ran by a Korean family(My mom watches so much K-drama that now we know enough to say thank you and bow respectfully) and the customer service was great. They serve sushi, but I didn’t try any. Now as far as authenticity … I wouldn’t know. But then again it’s food in the middle of the mall for 6.50. They seem to sale a lot of bubble tea(which I should try sometime) and they were busy when I was there. So skip the food court and eat some Korean or sushi food!

Over the weekend I took my second trip to this beautiful, amazing little stand inside the BQSM. It appears that they have renamed it Osio, but everything appeared to be exactly the same. It was my first stop in the mall and I only intended to get a honeydew bubble tea but saw that they had vegetable udon soup. She said there would be a wait for the soup, as there were four other soup orders ahead of me but it was a very short wait and she got my bubble tea right out to me. The soup was amazing but the portion was pretty large! I wasn’t able to eat the entire bowl but the broth was lovely and the combo of soft tofu and semi cooked shredded carrots was perfect-a perfect balance of textures. I did my shopping and then returned for another honeydew bubble tea. I’d love to branch out and try some of the other flavors, but I am minor obsessed with that flavor… and it is delightful to eat«mall» food that is actually fresh and actually tastes like food! The two women that were working were also incredibly friendly and worked very quickly.

I eat here often and put up with the crappy service since its one of the healthier choices in the mall. But I was watching the girl(short girl with glasses) make my food and she was wearing the same glove to prepare my food as she was wearing when she took my money. And when I called her out on it, she gave me attitude. Everyone I have encountered that worked here has been extremely rude and seem like they are being inconvenienced when you go to order, except one girl, the blonde girl is always super friendly and remembers me every time. I dont think I will eat here anymore, I am just really disgusted

Sushi was good not the best. I felt it was a bit over priced for the amount of rolls you get. Cashier was rude. She didn’t say thank you or even offer me my receipt.

I tried Simons today for a midday Bubble Tea indulgence… Price point is on par with other Bubble Tea places around town, $ 3.99 for a 16-ish oz. cup. I had the Taro Milk Tea — they blended the ice automatically whereas other places will give you the option. I found their boba to be a tad less sweet and much chewier(due to being quite cold in drink) than the others I’ve had… And it wasn’t something that really made me want to go back. Little differences in the same product make a big impact. Three stars: 1 for convenience, 1 for not price gouging, and 1 because they had taro as an option.

I recently tried the green tea bubble tea. Amazing! The staff is super friendly and this place continues to be awesome. Bumped up to five stars.

I’ve been getting their green tea bubble tea here on and off for about 3 years. Its a little on the sweet side, but the ice has the consistency of snow. Really really fine snow. So, today, I was shopping a bit in the mall for some bargains. Got a $ 3 jacket to take with me on vacation. Score! I live pretty close to this mall(about a 5 minute drive), but I rarely, if ever, eat here. I find most of the food in the food court… well, bleh. They have all the classic mall food groups represented here: greasy, rushed, sitting out, sugary and fatty. Makes you just want to run up and eat some steam table Chinese eh? Point is, I was there. I was hungry. I wasn’t brave enough to get the sushi, but while I was ordering, I watched the guy put together a couple of rolls. He put as much care into creating rolls for the boxes as I generally see at any upscale sushi bar in this city. He made me actually want to sample their sushi next time I go to the mall. I got the bulgogi and was pleasantly surprised. Was it the bestest I have ever had? Nah. Was it tasty? yep! One of the things I tend to dislike about bulgogi is that it is sometimes swimming in oil. This arrived at the table full of veggies, well seasoned meat, and rice. It was not oily at ALL. It was probably the healthiest and tastiest Korean I have had in a while. I was happy with it and plan to go back. In summary… what do I think about Simons? I think they do a great job serving food in a kiosk the size of a postage stamp. Would I drive here specifically as a destination to eat here? No. Is it close to the top of my list for places to eat at the mall? Oh hell yes. It’s a solid choice for a mall and I was very happy. If I were a 15 year old mall rat, I would totally(like for sure) ditch the food court and eat here instead making it the in-crowd place to eat. It’s next to Spencers, the movie theater and an ice cream shop. You can eat here and pretend to be more sophisticated than your friends eating at Chick-fil-a. Ok, in truth? I really really wish places like this were in the malls when I was growing up because they would have expanded my culinary horizons in good ways. It would have been so cool to tell my friends I’m going to grab some bulgogi or bibimbap rather than thinking sweet and sour pork was the height of Asian dining.

I really don’t get out to the Barton Creek Mall that often, but I found my thirsty self there today and as luck would have it I blundered into a small sushi joint downstairs near the movie theater. I wasn’t feeling that brave, so I didn’t try the sushi in the mall. I was only brave enough to try the pearl tea and it was divine. If you find yourself mall walking or shopping or dragged along by your significant other, then never fear. Sneak off to Simon’s Sushi and grab yourself a bubble tea to make things slightly more wonderful.
