Love this place! I always get the lettuce wraps, either Traditional or Thai, and one of the rolls, either vegetable spring rolls or the Vietnamese chicken salad rolls. I have never been disappointed. Wish I could give more insight on the rest of the menu, but I can’t ever try something new here bc the lettuce wraps and rolls are THAT good!

I love Pei Wei and I used to eat at the one on Lamar in South Austin. When I moved to Pflugerville 3 years ago I was so glad to find one here. Our first few visits were excellent. Now there seems to be no consistency in the food. I generally order the Kung Pao Chicken. Sometimes its spicy sometimes its not. Also I don’t like the addition of bell peppers in the rice. Why did that happen I don’t think that is typical for Asian cuisine. So my suggestion is consistency needs to improve greatly.

We have been here many many years ago and although its tasty, it was very very salty and overpriced so we never went back. Plus its not authentic at all. But our kids’ friends take them there and its a well liked place however my daughter has never been and wanted to try so I took her. We were excited to go on a mini date and I was hoping it would be different and fun. Again, I really think this place is over-priced for the small portions you get. You can go to a real authentic Chinese restaurant and share many dished for the amount you pay. But that’s besides he point because I think people frequent here for the non-authentic taste and more for familiarity and saltiness of the food. However it does smell good in here and its cute and convenient, fast foody like. People are young who work here and they weren’t able to help us when I had questions about portion size or kinds of noodles but they were friendly enough. Reminds me of a Chiptole: p I got the Mongolian Lomein while my daughter got the chicken teriyaki over rice. We could not wait to get it. It came out quick and hot and fresh which I liked. BUT again, the portion was a good size but really not for the near $ 10 you pay for each after tax and tip. Its a lot for lunch but if its great, that’s another story. However like many have mentioned and I recall, our dishes and most dished taste the same lol. I can’t say mine was bad. I liked it and it was tasty enough and did enjoy it BUT it was very salty and then I tried my daughter’s and lol it was tasty and salty too but if you really taste it, its the same sauce base, maybe just a slight saltier or sweeter. So again, it has not changed for years but will continue to do well especially with its non-authentic clientele. We probably won’t be back now that we all have tried it but glad that we have and know what the big deal is about :) They were fast and efficient there I have to give them that but it would be nice to vary the dishes, give them different flavors and use less sauces and salt. You are overkilling some great Chinese dishes :/

Great quality fresh Chinese food. All cooked at the time of ordering. I have been very satisfied with every visit. This review is after about 4 visits. The atmosphere is very quiet. My favorite is the spring egg roll and the caramel chicken.

Avoid this restaurant the little girl at the register at 8:35 pm tonight was so very rude. The manager should pull aside and retrain this one

Came to this Pei Wei for my first ever Pei Wei experience. I have to say it was good… The food was neither overwhelmingly amazing nor disappointing. It was ok. The food was hot and tasty enough. The man working(he had a head band I saw him leave shortly after carrying a motorcycle helmet) was helpful in helping me choose what to order for my first Pei Wei meal. The food was tasty and was made fresh for me. I didn’t have to wait very long either.

Pros– I ordered online, my order was ready on time. Cons– I have never had an egg roll so greasy, it was so greasy it was mildly soggy. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, the chicken was over cooked and hard, and it was too much sauce.

Good tasty. I had the veggies and tofu dipped in broccoli and soi sauce. Pretty tasty, just a bit greasy but then again it’s the American version of Asian plate.

Stopped carrying buckwheat noodles. It was the only healthy starch option on the menu. It was fun while it lasted. I’ll be avoiding pei wei from now on, after years of customership. When I attempted to give them feedback, they didn’t care nearly enough. whichwich does lettuce wraps now.

Located conveniently off of 35, our group stopped at Pei Wei on our way back to Dallas. I tried the small portion teriyaki shrimp with fried rice. Our food was delivered amazingly fast and fresh. Unfortunately, I didn’t like my dish as they were heavy on the teriyaki sauce. I usually like my dishes with a lot of sauce but the teriyaki shrimp was unbearable. Never have I encountered this at Pei Wei.

Pei Wei is one of those places that, despite not being on my culinary radar, I end up eating at once a month or so. No one is going to confuse Pei Wei for anything authentic; it’s Americanized Asian food through and through. The«spicy» dishes aren’t going to be spicy, the sushi ain’t gonna be fresh, and every sauce is going to be packed with sugar. Deal with it. That being said, it isn’t terrible, and a lot of the options on the new menu are actually decently healthy, provided you show some restraint. I typically go with brown rice, chicken(light sauce please!), and water. Yup, water, don’t drink your calories kids. Unless it’s beer. By my completely unscientific calculations, the above meal clocks in between 350 – 450 calories. Not bad, not bad at all.

I used to come here once a week until they changed their menu. I am not a fan of their new menu. I also keep getting emails that they now serve Sushi so I went to try it and it was just horrible. Imagine what it would be like if McDonalds started serving Sushi. It tasted like 3 day old Sushi that has been sitting in the fridge and microwaved. The rice was so stale. I can’t believe they are advertising and promoting this. The new menu seems to be cost cutting plan from corporate rather than an enhancement to serve customers.

Wow talk about this place may be considered fast food, but nope it tastes better than Panda Express. I ordered the Pad Thai and hint here I’ve never eaten Thai before in my life though I’ve been pending it. It came in a big bowl for a small – it had vermicelli noodles, peanuts, green beans(I think), tofu, shrimp, and some of other goodies. I really liked this place it was nice and it wasn’t filled with a lot of people either. I will have to come back

This restaurant is very clean and fast with service. I called in an order, was about 5 minutes away. Waited for a few minutes after arriving and food was ready. Piping hot and staff was very friendly. This is what I expect from places like this. Easy in and out.

My fourth time to this location. Each time something is bad or customer experience has been poor. Today the food was pei wei worthy yet there were no condiments except soy sauce available … really? It’s like going to a Mexican restaurant and being given chips with no salsa;)

Okay, so it’s not authentic Chinese cuisine… Okay, so Pei Wei may be the equivalent of a fast food chain… I’m rating the service! We were greeted enthusiastically by not one, but two servers! One of them came over after my friend and I must have stood looking confused at their new giant menu board. She was great. Outgoing, attentive, and even a little self-conscious which also translates into humble and sincere. Our order was placed with the ticket closed when we asked for a change to one of the items. The cashier promptly and accurately took care of our request, so our food came out precisely the way we’d requested. The server who brought our food over either didn’t speak English fluently enough to understand our question or didn’t care to serve us in any other way than setting our food down. Still the first impressions with the first two servers made me wanna Unilocal about it! Thanks Pei Wei.

This is for the Tech Ridge location(Parmer/35). We will usually order from Pei Wei once a month or so(as take away). It’s been a while so when I ordered I was excited to see some new options. And then we brought it home. New packaging and not for the better. The good: The crab won tons are still good. The ok: I tried the new Thai Lime and Chile with chicken. It was good but there was about a half a cup of liquid left over. I went sans rice and extra veg/chicken. My veg was perfect for me(still with a nice crunch. Some might call it undercooked.) The bad: SWMBO ordered her usual teriyaki chicken. The chicken has changed from slices of breast meat to chunks. And again, about a half of cup of liquid in the container. Veg very overcooked, very moist rice, and very diluted flavors. My final impression was one of a chain which has outgrown itself, been gobbled up by some big restaurant company, and they started making changes to recoup the investment. You know, making something that was at one point pretty good into something crappy. I even Googled to see if they were recently purchased but didn’t find anything to that effect. So, PW, get your crap together or we’ll stop eating here(not just the TR place). 6 months ago you would’ve gotten 4 – 5 stars.

This review is based on several bad experiences with this particular Pei Wei. It seems this Pei Wei has some major issues and I found out exactly why when I complained about having to wait for 18 minutes on hold. Brian, the GM, emailed me and asked for my phone number and I replied right away. Brian never called. A week later when I wrote him back and asked him why he never called he seriously tried to guilt trip me over my request for better service. He wrote and said«I’m sure you’d be bored with the details of my dying father». Really Brian? Bad service = bad management.

I hate myself for eating here, but sometimes every day always you’re too tired to cook and Pei Wei is easier. Pros, pros… it’s never made me sick? No really, it’s fine. You guys, IT’S FINE. My husband actually really likes the Dan Dan Noodles. My go-to(ugh, I hate myself) is the Japanese Teriyaki with veggies and tofu. About 60% of the time my tofu is charred beyond recognition, but the other 40% of the time it’s decent. So can we talk about the Spicy Korean? It’s not spicy, and it’s definitely not Korean. Please, please, please, don’t think this is remotely representative of Korean cuisine. My adorable grandparents thank you.
