Terrible service waited for order for 24 minutes, then went to counter only to find out order was never started, asked for something to eat while I was waiting and they have me the shrimp and rice but no fork ro eat the rice with, eat any where else than here

This is the closest Popeye’s to UT Austin so I don’t have much choice when it comes to which one I want to eat at. The location is pretty sketchy looking, as it is seemingly in the middle of nowhere, so that’s nice I suppose. They randomly run out of sides, napkins, and the like which sucks. The only reason to come here is for Two-piece Tuesday, which is a really good deal($ 1.19 for a wing and drumstick). If not for that offer, I wouldn’t come here. Last time I went, they forgot our biscuits when we went through the drive thru, which was very disappointing when we got home. Still, Two-piece Tuesday makes this place worth going.

I came here and Waited for them to open. I sat in the drive thru line and no one attended me. After a few minutes I pulled out and came back around so that they could see that I had been waiting. Once I finally got my order placed and took it back home, it wasn’t even that good. I don’t eat meat but my mom had it and wasn’t a huge fan of what she got. I hate bad customer service. When I finally did get their attention I realized everyone was messing with their phones which is probably why I went ignored the first time. I don’t know if my mom is coming back, but they’re definitely not getting my money anymore.

Alright this is easy. It’s Popeyes. You know what you’re gonna get. It’s gonna be hot and greasy and spicy(kind of) and delicious fast food chicken. My girlfriend saw a pic of Kylie Jenner going to Popeyes so we went to Popeyes for two piece Tuesday. It’s $ 1.29.

Good: They had there 8 piece sale Bad: They closed the Popeye’s near me Good: There’s one on the way of my appointment that day Bad: There was quite a line for the drive through when I got there Good: I walked in and placed my order right away Bad: I had to weight Good: it was only a few minutes more then I normally would The manager and his crew were organized for this rush and my chicken was still hot when I got home 15 minutes later!

No stars plus a frowny face. Last night on Halloween there was about three cars at the drive in, eleven cars less than Taco bell and 5 cars less than Whataburger. Popeyes wasn’t our first choice because my friend is a vegetarian so he hopped out to go to Sonic. Some time must have went by because he went to order, got his food, and sat with me in the car. There was an employee outside by the drive in line so you have to wonder if he was the only one working which is why no one was getting served. We noticed the line finally started moving, must have been at least 15 minutes, then we got up to the speaker I took a moment to decide what I was going to eat. The light from the menu started flickering but remained on, we continued waiting patiently while the car in back of me was questioning the empolyee outside«what’s going on, we’ve been waiting here for a while» and the employee responds«oh we’re closed’. WhAT?! why the hell didn’t he say that EveR? like the whole time he was creepily standing outside in a dark corner behind the menu next to all of us sitting there waiting? What was he even doing? I remember a time when bad workers were terminated for such negligence and carelessnes as to be made examples of so customers would never have to endure such a loss of an efficient situation. I mean we probably wasted a whole 30 minutes only to have to drive into some other line. The Whataburger line which was still at 8 cars long, sitting for another 30 minutes! Popeyes food is really good and it’s very unfortunate that obtaining it means dealing with a bunch of rude knuckleheads. Sure hours of operation are posted on the doors but to hint:(closed)for drivers at night, you turn off the drive in menu and have the decency to tell unsuspecting cars to move along.

It started raining today and I was craving some comfort food so, I decided to stop in to Popeye’s for their awesome mashed potatoes and gravy. The parking lot was pretty full and the drive through was too so, I decided to go in to order. It only took me a few minutes to get to the front of the line. The guy taking orders was nice and talkative. I ordered the three piece chicken strip meal, spicy, with mashed potatoes and gravy. I had my food and was out the door in about 5 minutes. They didn’t ask me what kind of dipping sauce I wanted so, I had to ask for it. Also, they didn’t put my box in a bag which was a little odd. When I got back to the office I started with the chicken strips and they were temperature hot but, I thought they could have had more seasoning. The mashed potatoes and gravy were as good as I remember and that savory kick at the end rocks my taste buds every time! I normally don’t eat the biscuit but, I tried it and it was moist and warm. The price was seven dollars and some change. I think next time I would just get the mashed potatoes and gravy!

As I write this review, I look out my windshield in despair at the seemingly unending drive thru line. Like a giant serpent, this massive chain of cars with menacing red-eyed snakes around the tiny Popeyes. And Popeyes, like a siren, tempts us with its unholy aroma of deep fried goodness. Calling to us. Beckoning us. Revealing to us a hunger not meant for mortal experience. It’s been almost an eternity and yet I am no closer to my goal of succulent fried chicken. Those weaker willed behind me have either left or, in a fit of rage, have decided to curse the heavens with their infernal honking. Patience young ones for the prize is near. HARK! The golden light of the menu board shines! What is thy request? TWELVETWOPIECETUESDAYS. Hand me my 24 golden chicken carcasses for only $ 12. Best deal. Best price.

It’s a bummer that this place is so crappy. Expect your order to be wrong and have something missing from it. The drive thru is so slow that all the customers going through it had to come in and ask where the heck their order was. Unfortunately, I think it’s not only just this location but every Popeyes in Austin, which I have been to. This sucks because the food is tasty but every time I encounter this restaurant I tell myself never again. The piss poor customer service is not worth it.

Stopped in to get a couple of family packs. Nobody answered the drive-thru so I drove up to the window. Person who opened window acted put out that I was there. Ordered mixed and specified no wings. Agreed to the extra charge. Spent $ 10 more here than Golden for 8 fewer pieces. Got back and half the order was wings! Won’t be back, ever!

as someone who has spent most of my life in and around the new orleans area, how dissatisfying popeyes locations outside of louisiana is a recurring motif of my travels. however, when i moved to austin, this location at the corner of airport blvd & mlk has been my go-to popeyes because while it still isn’t as good as the popeyes at home, its food was better than the other locations in town. even though the location on cameron blvd discloser to where i live nowadays, i came out of my way for dinner from here. sadly, tonight has been among the worst customer service experiences i’ve ever encountered. upon arrival, i was told that there were only two employees working both the drive-thru & walk-up. furthermore, when it was determined that i was intending on using a coupon, i was told that such transactions would require a manager’s approval, but she was in dispose at that time. 15 minutes passed before the manager finally returned from using the facilities, but rather than take my order, she worked a couple of transactions at the drive-thru window. finally, when she did take my order, she overcharged me for my transaction. i brought this to her attention as she was ringing me up, but she insisted that my coupon had been applied correctly, which, in fact, it had not. when i had a chance to review the receipt, i showed the manager on a calculator how she had overcharged me, but only after she verified it on her own pocket calculator would she reimburse me the difference. even then, she only gave me back less than half of what she overcharged me with nothing resembling an apology either for the inconvenience of having to wait on her or for the price discrepancy of the order she herself had entered into the register. while the food was probably not as fresh as it would’ve been had i been if i had gotten it when i first arrived, i can’t fault the kitchen staff for something that was by circumstance no longer their fault.

This is my main Popeye’s. As with the others, the meals are overpriced, but if you know the menu you can get excellent fast food at bargain prices. Along with the relatively new tender wrap(a tender with red beans and rice in a flour tortilla) and the chicken biscuit, each at $ 1.49, look to the off-the-menu snacks to get a good deal. They’re $ 1.99 for your choice of leg and thigh, breast, or two tenders and gravy. Each comes with a biscuit, and a drink is a buck more. And on Tuesdays, a buck gets you a leg and thigh. Sometimes they’ll let you get two legs instead, sometimes they won’t. Anyway, from these options, you can put together a good meal for $ 3.50−5.50. Popeye’s makes the tastiest fast food chicken I’ve ever had. Bojangles has much bigger pieces, but Popeye’s wins for flavor, especially if you get Spicy, which is not so much spicy as flavorful. The breading is light, crisp, and oily. I have been served dried out chicken when going through the drive-through near closing time. The sides are very good, but they’re pricey. Red beans and rice is my favorite. Once at a South Carolina Popeye’s, my jambalaya contained both tender chicken and spicy andouille, but I’m not sure it’s offered in Austin. This store offers«Cajun Sparkle» at the counter, packets of salt/onion powder/paprika that are not bad on chicken. The hot sauce is Louisiana, which tastes fine but unfortunately is no hotter than the Spicy chicken, so it’s not much use. Finally, Popeye’s plays the best music I have ever heard in a fast food chain. I think I actually heard the Meters in here once, but I could be wrong. Regardless, I’d never associated fried chicken and biscuits with New Orleans big-band tunes, but now I do, and they’re both better for it.
