PRIZE is a lovely shop in the heart of downtown with lots of unique items. They have a good variety of gift items, and it’s hard not to find something you love for yourself as well! If you’re lucky you might get to meet Foxy and Lola, the precious aussipoo babies that belong to Lisa. I always make sure to stop in when I am in the area, and you should too!

Love this store. There are so many awesome things in it at ALL price points(like even the $ 10 price point). I’m a horrible local shopper at times and also price compare to Amazon and this store offers the items that are on Amazon for the same price you can but it online. Seriously, check this place out.

I rarely, no never, give less than 4 stars because I truly believe that there is always something about a business that redeems whatever it is that needs attention. On December 21 my partner and I walked into the store to purchase gifts for my sister. We were ignored, never asked if we needed any help or even if we were looking for anything. We found watches and two pieces of jewelry that we wanted to purchase when my partner knocked over a mannequin. Immediately distracting the blonde sales woman from finding the correct station on the stores t.v. She never asked partner was okay, she was visibly frustrated that we had ruined her afternoon. I attempted to assist her but was met with complete contempt. We left embarrassed, empty handed, and convinced that the items we wanted would be found elsewhere. I would never treat anyone the way I was treated and hope that this will serve as a reminder that the $ 500+ I would have spent here was better spent at the Armidillo Bazaar. And a correction… I have NEVER given 2 stars…

As both a perfumista and native Austinite, it pains me to say that fragrance shopping in this city is kind of underwhelming. If you want to smell something in person, you’re pretty much limited to department stores, specialty cosmetic stores, and smaller boutiques that carry cheap thrill lines like Tokyo Milk. I’m not so snobby that I can’t find things I like at these places, but when your fragrance wardrobe is literally housed in a wardrobe, you begin to crave more offbeat fare. I’ve long been a devotee of Serge Lutens fragrances. I love the lush spices, the stewed fruits, the exotic woods, the ethereal, creamy white flowers. I love the man himself, his artistic aesthetic, and his undeniably Gallic eccentricity. I’ll wait here while you run a google image search on his house in Morocco. While you’re at it, google pictures of the Serge Lutens boutique at the Salons du Palais Royale in Paris. Now imagine that up your nose. When I found out that a place in Austin carried the Lutens exports(if you want the exclusives, you either have to pay a laughable markup from Barney’s, or find a perfume mule to bring some back from Paris), I called them immediately and had them set me aside the fragrance I was about to order from an online retailer. I work a few blocks away, so I headed over there the next day to pick it up. I fully intended to scope out the whole store. I did catch what I’m pretty sure was clothing and jewelry out of my peripheral vision, but all of that sort of disappeared as soon as I saw the Lutens display. Also, as soon as I knew I was going to buy TWO Serge Lutens fragrances, I knew I had to get out of there. I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

I LOVE this store. Pake Jewelry has some of the best pieces in town… and her work is found here. I go in often and still, I find something new, every time. Some stores don’t think to refresh a store for their customers like this boutique does. Everything’s neatly organized and seems like their items are always moving. I bought a velvet bow-tie for my husband for our vacation… something I would’ve never found anywhere else. Their fragrances are unique too. I used to go to Book People or Prima Dora to pick out cards… but I’ve found this place to carry cards, comparable. Excited this store is available for my gift-giving needs or whenever I just need to buy something for myself. Yesssss. Thank you PRIZE!

Wow, time flies, but the last time I was in Prize is when they just opened. They still have clothes, but also have expanded to great unique accessories, home décor and gifts. The store is rearranged and has a little something for everyone. Best of all they work with local artisans, so high end products and local. I like the owner and her staff, they make it a fun friendly place to shop.

I’m not much of a shopper, but this store is pretty awesome! They have a really unique and diverse assortment of jewelry, gifts, books, and other décor. You can find a gift for just about anybody there and a lot of it is handcrafted right here in Austin. Check it out on your next trip to the 2nd Street District!

Prize is top of mind when it comes to picking up a gift or finding something cool for myself. The real magic here is the curation of the objects. This is no 1-trick-pony of a store, there are studded leather iPhone covers, RayBans, art books, jewelry, candles, each one clearly thought through to make sure it earned a spot in the store. You’ll go in looking for one thing and leaving with 3 more you didn’t expect to find. Prize is a real gem.

This is one of those places that you wish you never knew existed. Everything is beautiful with handcrafted artisan detail. I came in looking for a ring and left with more. Lisa is great! My great grandmother recently gave me a few brooches from when she was younger and I wanted to have them made into other pieces of jelwery(necklace, cuff, etc.) She was incredibly helpful. The only downside is the price. But you can usually find a good selection in the clearance section, and she will work with you on price! In summary: 100% recommend it, but be prepared to spend a little more than you planned I love that she negotiates the price of some pieces.

I came across this adorable boutique with an even more adorable owner, named Lisa. I was on the hunt for some sunglasses and Prize had a perfect pair for my small head. Lisa was so helpful at finding the right size and letting me know that she could order some of them in small sizes. I lucked out and found a great pair of Ray Bans in a small that I love. This is a great shop for gifts too with its unique and reasonably priced accessories.
