Pure Pilates Austin

I LOVE Pure Pilates! If you haven’t been to a pilates class with the machine you are missing out! It is such a great workout from head to toe. I’ve left feeling sore for 3 days after before! You will feel your abs sore in places you didn’t even know could hurt! I consistently get a great workout here and cannot recommend this place enough. I love the instructors and how clean it is. They also have the best wipes that actually will clean down your machine! Thanks Pure Pilates!

I did a Pure Sculpt class with Ellen, and JESUS. I hurt so good.
1. I’ve only ever done mat pilates so I didn’t think the machine would be that big of a difference, but uh — yes. It is a really, really challenging class but even as a newbie, I felt really comfortable and Ellen was great about adjusting you.
2. Next to competitive swimming, this is the BEST full body workout I have ever had. Everything from my calves to my butt to the tiny muscles in my upper back are feelin’ it.
3. Small classes — they only have about 9 machines, come with grippy socks or buy some there ($ 11).

I’ve taken a couple classes with Ashley C., and it is awesome. I work out regularly, but I always walk out of the studio with the best full-​body work out. She makes sure to exercise every major part of your body on both sides. After two classes, I felt like I could see a difference in muscle tone especially in my legs. I usually run, so Pilates is a great way to mix it up and target different muscle groups.
The studio itself is very open clean and open. After each session, every machine is cleaned and wiped down. There’s a parking garage right next door and some metered street parking, but that can be hard to get sometimes since it is in west campus.
If you’re looking for an amazing work out, you have to take a class with Ashley C. She also has a great playlist to pump you up throughout the class. Ashley makes sure to pay attention to your form not to hurt yourself and get the best work out while being very encouraging to power through when you’re tired. You’ll walk out feeling stronger in your legs, arms, and abs!

Love PP! I’ve only been going for a few weeks now and can already tell a big difference. It is always really challenging and always has a lot of variety from class to class. The instructors are great and always offer great modifications when necessary. I love the classes are only 8 people so you can really get the attention needed for form. I was super nervous & intimidated to try it and am so glad I did — its awesome!

This is the toughest reform pilates studio I’ve been to. I was challenged the whole time, and Alison, the instructor, was encouraging, welcoming, friendly, and energetic. I’m totally hooked and can’t wait to go back.

I’m super obsessed with this place. I’ve been coming through Classpass and I may have to buy a class card bc 3x a month isn’t enough! I’ve gone 5 times so far– always to Natalie’s class. It is one of the hardest workouts– super challenging and I always leave feeling sweaty but stronger. I love that the class is never exactly the same and that its a full body workout in 45 minutes. The studio is clean and they provide towels. You’ll want to wear grippy socks to avoid slipping around. I was a little bit lost on my first class but after a few you get the hang of it. Natalie is an awesome instructor. She’s very positive and encouraging– making sure you do those last few reps! The class size is small and personal and even though it’s on campus, parking is easy with validated garage access. I think these classes are pretty affordable for pilates equipment & I’ll definitely keep coming until I can master all the moves!

Great place. Friendly and a very rare form of exercise here in Austin. We need more of these!

I love love love coming here. I am not someone that likes to work out. I have never enjoyed exercising until I started coming to these classes. I really feel that these classes offer you a hard workout. I am always sweating!
The studio is small (8 people max) so the instructors are able to help you individually. It is easy for a beginner to learn the moves and feel like they are in a comfortable environment. The room is clean, parking is free, and prices are pretty decent. My favorite instructors are Ally, Natalie, and Laura!

I visited Pure Pilates while home for the holidays. I take megaformer classes in LA and was so excited to find this place (I saw a flyer for the studio at Lululemon). The studio is tiny compared to what I’m used to, but that just meant closer attention from the instructor. The room is immaculate and the instructors I took were very friendly. If I still lived in Austin I’d be here every day!
Free parking, reasonably priced, good specials. I’m very impressed by this place!

I’d heard of Pilates before (in the context of Hollywood starlets being bombarded by the paparazzi after leaving their classes, svelte and glowing), but had never tried it until Pure Pilates. I was recommended by a friend and honestly showed up with absolutely zero idea of what was going to happen, but the instruction here is really easy to grasp for a beginner.
For example, while you’re doing movements, the instructor will count with you so that your movements match the right pace (Pilates is done s-​l-​o-​w-​l-​y, as a rule). While you’re breathing through it, the instructor will tell you what’s going to happen next: the name of the exercise, what part of the body it’ll target, and where on your Megaformer machine you’ll be (front platform, carriage, back platform). When you feel like you’re about to keel over, the instructor will then count down the last few seconds with you, so that you feel you can last a little longer. 3… 2… 1, then move on to the next exercise. The instructor will probably also demonstrate for you on an empty machine (if the class isn’t full) or on a padded bench. You’ll also get soft corrections while you’re doing the exercise — if your feet are not facing in the right direction, or your hips are too low, etc.
The studio is beautiful, and has 2 walls of mirrors so that you can check your form while working out. Garage parking is easy and validated, so you’re only paying for the class itself. And while the classes are pretty pricey at around $ 20 each (depending on the package you buy), the exercise itself is so addicting, the instructors are super nice even in a structured environment, and the results themselves are pretty rockin’, so I can’t be too fussed about it.
If you find yourself on the wait list for this location, be aware that there’s a new Pure Pilates location at the Domain that has 10 slots instead of 8, and you can probably find a spot there! Classes for each location don’t always coincide time-​wise, but if one class is booked up you can always check the other location for an opening.

I went to my first ever Pilates class here at Pure in Austin. I felt completely comfortable walking in to a full class and had an amazing workout. The instructor was professional and very high energy. The other class members ranged in skill level from beginners to experts. I did not feel out of place at all. The equipment and the bathrooms were clean. I’ve already recommended it to a friend and look forward to going back in the future.

IN-​credible workout. Cardio + pilates-​style toning in a compact 45-​minute workout. You will strengthen your core throughout the entire workout, as well as tone legs, butt and arms. The more than steady pace keeps your heart rate up. If you are time pressed (who ISN’T?), it’s the perfect combo workout. If not, great addition to your workout repertoire.
Co-​owner Allison is one of the teachers and is lovely and approachable — like all of the instructors. Location is West Campus but not in the thick of things that may turn off any non-​UT students. Parking in the garage next to the studio is free and readily available.

Truly enjoyed this powerful, yet not excruciating workout. The owners & teachers were friendly and obviously know their stuff. Probably the most thorough workout you can cram into 45 minutes — hits all body parts. I was pretty sore in certain areas for the next 2 days & will happily go back for more. Good music, clean space — definitely a gem for Austin!

I just started Pilates a week ago and I have to say I love it. The studio is clean, the instructors are great, very informative and friendly. They take would could be a very intimidating experience and make it fun. I’m only 5 classes in and can already tell a difference in muscle tone and posture. I can’t wait to see the results later this summer.

I’ve been coming to Pure since the first week it opened in October. I’ve been doing the Lagree workout for almost 6 years now and have been to probably 25 different studios all over the US. Needless to say, I was so excited when I found out that a studio was opening in town. This workout isn’t traditional pilates; be prepared to sweat!
It’s a full-​body workout that focuses mainly on your core, legs, and obliques with some upper-​body exercises, as well. You will be sore for 3 days minimum if it’s your first time trying it, trust me! The machines look pretty intimidating, but once you learn the different exercises, you’ll get results easily and be able to transition quickly between moves for a more efficient workout.
I’m in here probably more than any other student– sorry ya’ll for having to see my face daily. I drive 25 minutes to come here, that’s how good it is! Ally, Laura, and Natalie are all awesome.
My only suggestion would be to play the music louder sometimes, as it takes my mind off the pain. :)

I am so happy they opened a Pilates studio right in the middle of West Campus! The location is so convenient and the classes are super fun– and they kick your butt! Take a class with Natalie if you go! And watch out, you will become an addict!

Saw this place while leaving a CYC class, and decided to sign up because they have a monthly deal as well as individual sessions. I came into it thinking it’d be a mix of yoga and maybe be a relaxed workout. I was wrong!
The Pure Pilates workout is awesome, and very challenging! You really get a great leg workout as well as abs and some arms. There’s cool music playing too but it’s not as loud as a CYC class, but louder than a yoga class. The instructor was really nice too and showed me how to do everything correctly, without pressuring me into doing something I couldn’t.

I recently took a class at Pure Pilates Austin and loved it! A few of my friends are members of the studio as well. These classes will kick your butt and you’ll never be in a class with more than 10 people which is nice. If you like that extra attention, you certainly get it from the trainers at Pure Pilates.

I have been taking classes here a couple of times a week since it opened, and I am addicted! I have already felt my body change within a few weeks.
The classes are challenging but doable. I feel like I’ve gotten a great workout each time I leave, and I love that each class is different than before. Another perk is that each class is 45 min, so it’s easy to fit into your schedule.
I would recommend Pure Pilates Austin for anyone that wants a great workout and loves a fun, upbeat atmosphere!
