I’m so happy this is still a Seattle’s best in Austin. Very good mochas — the best we’ve had since we’ve moved to Austin from NW Washington. Make sure if you order a mocha here that you ask for the chocolate stick to be put in the drink — it’s our fav! Other Austin SBC’s(which now have another name) do not have the chocolate sticks because they melt in transit there(?). So happy to find this SBC! Just wish it was a drive thru. If anyone knows of a shop in Austin that serves Dillatante Chocolate in their mochas, please let us know… still on the search…

Seattle’s Best has a KILLER caramel latte. The espresso is always smooth and lovely. If the service was anywhere up to par, I would go there daily. But as it is, I only stop by when it’s convenient because about 50% of the time they mess up my order, and I get attentive, friendly service less than that. So I mostly end up at their(some say evil) green competitor where the service is consistently good and they never screw up my absurdly complex order.

Yeah, it’s a chain, but when you live this far south, you can’t be picky about that sort of thing. There’s great coffee, free internet, friendly baristas, polite patrons, and it’s possible to get a lot of work done there, which is important when you have a toddler back at home and only a small amount of time to yourself each week.

This location is so close to my house, it’s dangerous. I stop in 2 – 3 mornings a week. I try to be good and just order the nonfat latte, but when I’m feeling really decadent I have their peppermint mocha trio. It is SO delicious that I feel like I’m eating a whole box of those Thin Mints Girl Scout cookies. Mmmm. You can get it with whipped cream, but I usually opt out so I don’t completely break the calorie barrier for the day.

I have a crush on a barista there so I go as often as possible!

This place is my cure for Friday afternoons, you know around 2pm when you really need to still be working but just aren’t feeling it. It takes me about 5 minutes round trip to drive here & back, go threw the drive thru & get my double espresso, which is the answer to all life’s problems. Service is always exceptional.
