We tried this place out because it’s close to my work and home. They had a surprising deal of any 3 rolls for 20 $ which is a totally steal. We orders pork dumplings A+. Cucumber roll A+, hubby had pork Korean BBQ which he said was the best ever in his life. I had a crunch munch roll, rainbow roll, and another I don’t remember the name. It was very quiet but not super busy. They were good for my rowdy 2 year old who hates to sit in chairs and would not get off the floor. On that note it was super clean. So we will be back. Server was a little cold at first but then warmed up to us. We really enjoyed this place. If you get stuck in Mopac traffic and get Hungry it’s easy to get off and on to get to. They also deliver to nearby places. Like my work. SCORE!!! Thanks snow pea we will be back.

I would give the food a four star but they are too expensive! However if you get take out, you easily can make two meals out of it. They have large portions!

Went with a group of about 30 – 40 people on a Friday night at 8. We were able to book the day of! About $ 20 per person for unlimited sake and beer and buffet style food. They had spring/egg rolls, orange chicken(or something similar), chicken fried rice, and broccoli beef. The orange chicken and chicken friend rice were very good! I would definitely come back and order both of those. The people that worked there were so kinda and attentive. They constantly made sure everyone had sake and that there was enough food in the buffet.

Order: egg roll, crab rangoon, General Tso’s(medium) Egg roll was small, crisp and delicious. Would be five star if filled with a little more innards. Rangoon was the second best in Austin, and maybe only for texture as it was a little runny. That said, I will be getting these everytime I eat Snow Pea again. And I will, the Tso’s was the best I have had here yet. I have a Mid westerners’ tolerance for spice, but I will be trying this the next level of fire up. Delivery is fast

I love this place! I’m a patient at Seton Hospital and they will deliver it either 2 the nurses station on my floor or 2 my room. All I’ve had is their California Rolls and they r amazing. I’d definitely recommend Snow Pea 2 others

I’ll give you two stars because your food is good but I’m disappointed that I got charged what your menu price in store showed vs what your online menu price was listed as when I called in my order and you just telling me that it must be old prices… if you haven’t updated the price then you should still honor it esp when I could tell you the exact price I saw

Working across the street from Snow Pea is just one of the things I love about this place. The hostess that takes my lunch order is always so friendly and even though I’m not a «regular» here she always recognizes me. «Regular» would be a once a week kind of guy but I’m more of a two or three times a month guy. I haven’t tried some of the food on the menu and usually stick with what I know, the pork fried rice with egg drop soup and egg roll, the lunch special. Yum yall.

Probably some of the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I took a bite of my orange beef and briefly wondered if what I had put into my mouth was beef or an accident. It was dry, hard, and chewy. But after I had a few more pieces I realized that was just how it was cooked. I can’t even imagine the quality of the sushi.

On the way back from running an errand, I decided to stop by here to get something to go. The hostess was waiting outside by the door and gave me a stare like«I was bothering her break time». She did not smile at all, and after I said«To-Go», she pretty much just threw the menu at me. That is when I saw their«Lunch» menu. I automatically thought: «Is this the dinner menu?» Every item was priced well above $ 8 It did say Lunch at the top, and the place had a good number of people in there, so I was prepared to be amazed with my food. Was I? Heck no. Small portions, stir fried rice just seem like they poured teriyaki sauce on white rice, stale chips? for your soup, and while we are talking about soup, they gave me the wrong soup. There are a lot better places in Round Rock(where I live) with lunch specials less than $ 7

This neighborhood place is our go-to for Chinese. Mostly carry-out. Dining room is generally almost empty when we’ve eaten in. Servers are friendly and attentive. Flavors are good and portions ample. I’m a fan of Happy Family personally and the Hot and Sour soup is great on a cold night. Prices are a little high but not crazy. It’s very convenient for us, and quality is consistent.

I stepped inside, suddenly i transported to a mystical place down below the earth, not quite like middle earth, but near the surface like maybe a few feet below. Anyhow, the strange people offered me soup and tea. Then behold the General Tso’s chicken appeared. WTF! I thought to myself. Where the hell am I? But i better eat this food before i leave…

Cashew chicken was cold and very few cashews. Egg drop soup and fried egg roll just basic. Ambiance is nice. Prices went up. $ 8 – 9 for lunch.

I came here today for take-out for lunch. I’ve been here multiple times in the past and have always loved them. They’re in my neighborhood, clean, affordable, fast… the list goes on. I hadn’t been since they closed for remodel and went back for the first time today. For someone who was once a fan, i’m disappointed and not going back. I tried other restaurants around town while they were closed to get my Chinese fix. I found those other restaurants to be better. Maybe I had them on an off day. They were packed when I came in(surprising for a Chinese place to be during lunch) so obviously people like them. But I ordered Chicken Lomein and felt like there was no flavor. The chicken was cooked well and I liked the amount of veggies in it, but the sauce itself lacked flavor. It also seemed really watery for Lomein to me, because well hey lomein shouldn’t be watery. I also had ordered a hot and sour soup and when I got home realized I had never gotten it. Like I said I’ve liked this place a lot in the past, but they’ve lost me after today’s visit. Do yourself a favor and go to Hao Q on Farwest. That’s where I went when this place was closed, I was thinking I wouldn’t like it more than SnowPea, but today proved to me how good Hao Q really is.

I just keep trying. and it doesnt change. i have tried the combo friend rice and beef and broc, both were«eh, i should have saved my money» the egg drop soup(apparently you have to ask for it, or they give you what they want) is dark and nasty. not sure why i keep trying

Their prices have become a bit inflated but this place offers up straight down the middle, solid Chinese food. All of the basics like crab Rangoon, orange chicken, and chicken lo mein… all of them hit the spot and no msg(whatever that even means). Apart from favorites like a+a and Asia Café this is my preference when it comes to ordering takeout.

I’m gonna tell it straight. I’ve been to college; I’ve had plenty of Chinese food night that came from the sketchiest places ever. Like, the kind of place where you’re medium-likely to get stabbed walking back to your car with take out. But everybody knows those places are indisputably the best. But I have no qualms saying this place is up there with«top tier» status and somehow found the loophole that prevented me from fearing for my livelihood at any point during my dining experience. The service and atmosphere were both beyond«satisfactory». And the food? I got some sort of peanut-chicken thing; it was great. But my girlfriend got the sesame chicken. I can confidently say that it was the best sesame chicken I’ve ever had. In my life. I want it right now and I just ate. I dare you to try to tell I’m wrong.

I come here often and am pretty pleased. The vegetarian dumplings are the bomb, and I always get the garlic eggplant. Their noodle dishes are just ok, and I have never tried their sushi. Service has always been great. A few times we’ve seen groups of college students ordering rounds of sake bombs,(maybe they don’t check IDs very carefully). A few suggestions for them would be to improve their tea(hot green is just Lipton) and I roll my eyes at places that upcharge for brown rice. But other than that, it’s pretty good for your standard Chinese food.

I can be skeptical of Chinese restaurants, but Snowpea is 1 mile from home & Unilocal reviews were mostly positive, so 6 months ago we gave it a go and here’s where we are today: 1st visit– hit the nail on the head with the Basil dish, we had chicken and it is all white meat, and just divine! The Hot & Sour soup is bombtastic, too. 2nd visit– not great, got lunch takeout of more American style dishes, like kung pao & orange chicken. If this had been my first time I’d not have gone back. 3rd-8th– I stick to what I know is good & it’s the Basil dish & you can add extra meat(I.e. feed 3 – 4 ppl) for $ 2 more. As well as the H&S soup! It’s worth your $ and time to try it!

So many good things about Snow Pea, where do I begin… I absolutely LOVE their pork dumplings. Far and away the best I’ve had in Austin. Seems like they are one of the few places that actually make their dumplings in-house as opposed to ordering frozen ones. Also served with a nice garlic/soy dipping sauce. Their crab rangoons are delightful as well. Nice flaky crust, with just the right amount of cream cheese filling. The orange beef is probably my favorite entrée dish, with the general Tso chicken coming in a close 2nd. Both are fried perfectly, served with amazing sauces on top. Perfect combination of sweet, tangy, and spicy. I appreciate the consistent service I receive whenever I visit, as well as the speedy delivery they provide. For whatever reason, «American» style chinese food seems to get a bad rep from Unilocalers. I’ve seen multiple people type«MSG» this, «MSG» that. But yet Snow Pea DOESNOTUSEMSG. Talk about stereotyping… smh people. And to Casey B, who complained about ordering a sushi roll(a Dragon Roll, which had eel on it), are you an idiot? If you did not want«hot sushi», why would you everrrrr order a sushi roll with eel on it? Anybody who has had sushi roll with Eel in or on it knows that they BAKE the eel. Which is why the sushi roll is warm. Just really bothers me seeing one of my favorite local joints have multiple irrational complaints/undeserving negative reviews. Just had to get that off my chest… Pros: really good food, decent prices, reliable and friendly service Cons: None that I’ve come across. If you’re ever by the medical district in central Austin, I’d most definitely recommend giving Snow Pea a shot. That is unless you want cold eel on your sushi roll like Casey B. apparently did…
