I have been coming to Dr. Kodack faithfully for the past 15 years. In fact, she is the person I have known the longest in Texas — which is kind of weird. Best doctor I have had in my life — excellent surgeon, very attentive physician, very patient with questions, and hilarious. I love her — and will miss her. Why will I miss her? Am I moving? No, I am not — but, she is retiring from her Austin practice. I am writing this review out of tribute for her skills. And, as a partial recommendation on for her partner — Dr. Lozano, who a friend of mine uses and swears by. Also, their new physician, Dr. Kaplan, gets amazing reviews on Unilocal. All that said, their front desk staff are off-putting. I have to steel myself to visit their offices, quite frankly. They are factory-focused, and usually not listening to your specific requests, even if you have done your homework, are informed that you are asking something for a reason, and are not wasting their time. They still won’t listen to you, or, will dismiss your comment, which has, on occasion, messed up my follow-up lab work or scripts. The above is true only for the staff at the check-in /check-out desk. The staff writing prescriptions and taking vitals are all great.

For 15+ years I’ve been having routine annual exams, and Dr. Kodack is by far the best doctor I’ve had. She is so wonderful to have as a doctor, and I wish she could be my doctor for everything! I always ask her to be! But yeah, hands down, she is my favorite doctor. And you know, It seems weird that my gynecologist is my overall favorite doctor EVER, but hey, it’s the truth! I have given her so many referrals and my friends are so thankful to have her in their lives as well. She is a kind, gentle person who makes things fast, easy and comfortable. You’d be lucky to have such a fine doctor as Dr. Kodack. Often, she is the one that does follow-up calls and it’s mighty impressive. She is a really caring and thoughtful person. She is wonderful and I’ve heard her associate Dr. Lazano is just as fantastic. So, if you’re due for an exam or want to check out a new doctor, certainly try Dr. Kodack or Dr. Lazano. You will have no regrets. Check out her website Here website has excellent resources available on women’s health. It’s great for adults and teens:
PS– Her office used to be located on 38th St. near the Heart Hospital, but just moved to this new address on 1015 East 32nd St.
