Food is mehh at best, churos are frozen then fried. Service is poor — the guy forgot our drinks then went to the bathroom, the girl got pissed we interrupting her phone call behind the trailer when we asked for them…

They have the best sides! I got the roasted Brussels sprouts– oh wow so delicious! And they come with such a great dipping sauce. Also, the Mexican corn. This was not as good as the Brussels sprouts. It needed more flavor and less water. I would give the corn 2 – 3 stars. But the sprouts get 4 – 5. Try them!!!

Great food and what not, but kindness goes a long way with me… So, when my food was brought out and the chef saw that my dog had no water, he promptly brought an entire bottle of water and paper bowl for my dog to enjoy. I love my dog, and more importantly this food truck. Give it a try.

Overpriced. I got the piquillo pepper stuffed with goat cheese and walnuts and the brussel sprouts. Probably would get the fried artichokes if I had to choose again… but probably won’t go back. Good gluten free options… whereas the other food trucks at the Picnic aren’t as friendly.

We had carnitas tacos and Mexican street corn. This was not Mexican at all. The carnitas were more like pulled pok tacos. They had good flavor and were accompanied with salsa. Not considered carnitas at all. But okay and priced fine. The Mexican street corn was okay as well, but not Mexican. They use parmesan cheese instead of Mexican cheese which threw off the flavor. They also used canned yellow corn instead of off the cobb white corn. Overall the food was good but I would not call any of it Mexican.

No. Just no. That was the grossest thing I ever had in my life. Not edible. We tried four menu items! None of it was good. :(

Let me begin by saying that the person who works here is beyond amazing. Really awesome! I got the Mexican style corn, which I was surprised to see wasn’t on the cob. This was my favorite dish. It was pretty good. The patatas bravas were filling and plentiful but alright. Would return if I had the chance to test out some of the other dishes.

This review is for the Tapas Bravas at the picnic on barton springs road. I bet their tapas are great, I cannot comment on the deliciousness of the food because I’ve never tried. I am giving them a one star because I drove all the way to downtown to find a closed store at 8:45 on a thursday afternoon. I checked their website before going there and on their website, the dinner hours are from 5 to 10…

I was super excited to try this place out, but was quite disappointed once I got my patatas bravas. They were not bad or anything, though the potatoes were a bit undercooked, but if you’ve been to Spain or have had authentic Spanish tapas you will not be satisfied here.

Please take this review with a grain of salt, as I tried only one dish at Tapas Bravas. However, when your menu only has seven dishes in total, and one of them is as appalling as the«Mexican street corn», I am going to go ahead and judge you on that one. I was expecting a lovely grilled ear of corn slathered in goodness. The nice gentleman manning the trailer brought out a paper bowl instead– fine by me, less chance of getting it all over my face and in the teeth. However, under the layer of mayo/parm/spice was a pile of obviously pre-frozen, tepid, mushy corn swimming in its own microwaved watery juices. No grilling, no sautéing, no salt. For $ 4. The hubs and I just looked at each other in disbelief. Perhaps the other 6 menu items are all winners, but I will not be risking it.

Located at the Picnic. I had seen this place once before and wanted to try it but they were closed. Finally got my opportunity to try it today! I only got the fried artichokes with garlic aioli. They were interesting but still pretty good. I think next time I’ll try the brussell sprouts though. I didn’t think the garlic aioli sauce was anything special, could use a bit more flavor. Reasonably priced though which is great, definitely will keep exploring their menu.

Everything was simply superb. Patatas, Brussel sprouts, and duck pâté. Can’t wait to try the rest. My only complaint is, from now on, I’ll have a difficult time making it to Zilker without stopping here first… or after… or both.

Located in the new food trailer park on Barton Springs Road, Tapas Bravas adds a Spanish spin on the usual Austin fare. My mom & I stopped in last weekend on a busy Saturday afternoon and ordered some food from various trailers, including some plates from Tapas Bravas. My fav of the four tapas that I have tried are probably the mini chorizos although pretty greasy. I’m a huge brussel sprout fan but both those and the fried artichokes were overly salty and not outstanding. The papas(with the semi spicy tomato sauce) I think its cute that they have a ‘sangria kit’ so if you bring the wine, they provide all the fruit, etc. to make a fresh sangria. Something to keep in mind when heading to Zilker. Prices are reasonable and the lady working in the trailer was super friendly so for now, they’re A-OK to me. While I am not yet in love with TB and with amazing Spanish cuisine just down the road from this location, they’ve got to step it up and I might be back!

After years of watching Anthony Bourdain & Annie Sibonney enjoying the good life, eating great tapas in Spain, I could only hope to hit the lottery someday and share the same experience ! That was until last week when I stumbled upon Tapas Bravas ! Surely the Tapas Gods were smiling upon me that day, as I found Tapas Nirvana ! A wonderful selection of reasonably priced tapas, that are perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor ! I can honestly say I don’t have a favorite, as everything was Outstanding ! They Are The Real Deal ! So I look forward to my future Tapas Parties, where I only have to pick up the wine ! P. S. Kudos to Kaitlin, very helpful & friendly !

Located in the new food park on Barton springs. Lots of picnic tables, big fans. Nice bathrooms. Brussels sprouts were awesome for sprouts. Garlic aioli was awesome. We were just sampling around the park. My husband said the garlic aioli was his fave. Very friendly. Super quick. $ 8 for sprouts. Good amount for price.
