I still like Texadelphia, even though I used to like them a lot more. The cheesesteaks are pretty good if you know what you’re getting into, but the quality is hit or miss sometimes. The queso is awesome and a great deal when it’s half-off during happy hour. I LOVE fried pickles, so I was excited to learn they’ve added fried pickles to their menu. I finally had the chance to try them and was pleasantly surprised. I usually prefer fried pickle spears, but these were pretty good for fried pickle chips. The batter is just a little spicy and goes perfectly with the homemade ranch for dipping. They’re a nice addition to the appetizer options. I used to like their breakfast tacos ok but loathe their ridiculous, inconsistent breakfast taco pricing policies, so I’ve sworn them off for breakfast(and entirely sworn off the Guadalupe location forever due to a terrible experience there, hence why I used to like Texadelphia more). I’ll still stop by this location closer to home for a sandwich or queso to go during happy hour.

i eat here often. the food’s good, plenty of sauces that they don’t ration out, people at the counter are always friendly, and they run a clean shop. good location with plenty of parking and some TVs to watch while you eat. not too shabby.

Look, if you like Texadelphia, you like all of them. The food as always, delicious. If you don’t know about Texadelphia let me help you. The thing I have always ordered here is the Pizza Steak. It is actually no longer on the menu(I don’t know why because the totally still sell it). It’s just a normal steak with marinaria sauce all over it. The ranch at Texadelphia is my favorite ever. It’s very runny and tasty in a way I can’t explain. I dip that bad boy Pizza Steak into the ranch with every bite. I also dip my fries into that ranch too. If you want something healthier, they have a delicious Turkey sandwich I get on wheat with avocado. It tastes like no other turkey sandwich I’ve ever had. That being said… This Texadelphia is a bit cramped. The booths are small and the tables are generally taken. We came in about 20 minutes before closing and all the condiments were put away. I understand because it’s on ice and it needs to be cooled, etc. They were nice about it. They told us we could have any condiments we want and they would give us them in the little to go things. Even when it was after closing time no one said anything to us. They didn’t start doing really rude things like flipping chairs or turning off lights. She even told us not to feel rushed. This is not my favorite Texadelphia by any means but it’s an alright one.

When I’ve eaten phillys in Philly, they’ve had a very special ingredient: Cheese Whiz. That’s right. The ooey gooey overly processed cheese in a jar. And it was mind blowing. I’ve searched for wizwith phillys in Austin but never found them. Fast forward to now and Texadelphia has it. Oh joy! So fun! And it’s terrible. Dry and terrible. With little flavor. Oh Texadelphia, why do you even bother? If you’re not authentic, be good. They are neither authentic nor good. It’s tragic really. If someone figures out how to make a truly authentic philly, they’ll make a fortune. I’ve gone 3 times in the past 6 years. And that’s too many. The one reason to go is that they’ve got cheap cheap drinks during happy hour from 4 – 9

A good Philly cheese-steak, but not a great one. I ended up paying around $ 10 for a sandwich and a Sweet Leaf iced tea. On top of that, I ordered an additional side of queso, which was $ 1.29. Not much of a value unless you’re still living on the parents’ dime. The woman at the counter was friendly and professional, which is a step above the Houston locations.

Oh I hate to do this but it’s going to take some time before I’ll go back. My beefy goodness sandwich was simply swimming in grease and tasted off. Grease makes it taste good, right? It can in moderation but not when it’s coating your hands and you use napkin after napkin to clean it off so that your cup doesn’t slip out of your hands when you lift it to your mouth. I’m not sure if it was overcooked or over seasoned but it just didn’t sit well for hours. Maybe it was the chef that particular day but no amount of their secret mustard sauce(which is THE best) could overcome the«off» taste. Otherwise, the service was great and the place was clean as a whistle.

Free wireless Internet, half price appetizers at happy hour and comfortable/clean environment? Yes please! I frequent this location because it’s never crowded and the people are friendly, plus I like free wifi. Usually I’ll take my laptop up there and order a drink and appetizer and zone out for an hour or so. The people who work there are always friendly and attentive, and the manager Corey remembered my name which was very impressive. I’d reccommend this location to students or young professionals who want to grab a bite while they work on their computers or have time btwn classes. Not ideal place to meet for happy hour(except half price appetizers) but love the tvs everwhere(usually sports or CNN is on). all in all great place!

Amazing service and a great location with great cheese steaks and fries. So on a lazy Sunday, my roommate and I decided Texadelphia to have a dinner. What a great choice, and now I wonder why I do not come here more often… WHY?!! There are many reasons to go here 1) The founder’s Favorite Cheese steak is crazy tasty and delicious… it is LOADED with Jalapenos(much to my liking), LOADED with beef, LOADED with cheese, and LOADED with mushrooms and onions… it was delicious. Due to all the jalapenos, mushrooms, and mustard sauce it was a little salty, but I can look past this because nevertheless… it was delicious. Granted I asked for extra mushrooms and extra lettuce and tomatoes on top(a decision that left my cheese steak almost inedible for its sheer size!)…so I suggest not even adding anything else. 2) The curly fries, although they are no different than other curly fries you have had before, they are really good, especially dipped in the special mustard sauce… a gift from God which can be put on anything. 3) The service… so by the time I went here at 7:30 pm they had run out of queso… bummer, but they were extremely nice and upgraded our basket to curly fries, still gave us chips, and all for no additional cost. Besides this, the guys working were just nice good ‘ol people to chat with at the counter as we ordered. 4) Parking is easy at this location, free, and there are enough booths for everyone to grab one if they want… rarely crowded. Lots of TV’s too to watch the game on. After 4 there is also half appetizers and 2 dollar beers! This is making me hungry for another! I have been to Geno’s in Philadelphia and this is definitely really good… of course not the same, but hey we are in Austin… the next best thing.

After eating the queso and curly fries, I thought to myself: «Self, why come you’ve lived within this same 50 mile area, passing at least one Texadelphia everyday, your whole life and never eaten here? Cause these queso fries are freaking good and you’ve(I’ve) been missin out!» Queeso fries= really goood smoked turkey guac salad= severely lacking guacamole ½ of someone elses italian sub to make up for my sorry salad= good

This location rocks because — The nicest laundromat, Spin Cycle, is just across the street, so grab a lunch from there and chow it down at Spin Cycle. Or even better, have a beer at Texadelphia while your clothes are in the washing machines! — Rarely crowded — There are several automobile repair centers within walking distance, again, have a beer while your car gets an oil change! — If you want an ice cream after your meal at Texadelphia, just take a short walk to Amy’s for the Mexican Vanilla with strawberries in a waffle cone!
